04 - Entering through the Narrow Gate and Walking on the Constricted Way That Leads to Life...
By HeavenlyFoods Js
Summary
## Key takeaways - **Narrow Gate, Constricted Way to Life**: Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad the way leading to destruction with many entering, but narrow the gate and constricted the way leading to life with few finding it. The gate transfers realms like initial salvation, but the constricted way squeezes continually, unlike the easy broadway. [35:01], [38:24] - **Today's Christianity: Appearance, Not Reality**: In America over half profess Christianity, yet many are by name only, not regenerated—like tares sown among wheat or mustard seed deformed into huge tree with rituals but no power. The Lord seeks genuineness, not vast organization or numbers. [08:39], [11:52] - **Be Poor in Spirit, Never Arrive**: Blessed are the poor in spirit whose is the kingdom of the heavens; be emptied, unloaded, not self-contented with knowledge or training, forgetting things behind daily for fresh mercy. Feeling full stops progress; maintain forever hunger for the Lord. [15:25], [19:20] - **Walking in Spirit Restricts**: Walking in the spirit restricts us from worldly systems, rock music, or entertaining crowds, unlike broadway catering to natural tastes; it causes normal Christian life, vital healthy believers for God's building according to divine measure. [56:08], [57:08] - **Philadelphia: Little Power, Brotherly Love**: Lord's recovery is Philadelphia church line—not denying Lord's name, keeping His word with little power, brotherly love prevailing to shepherd by cherishing and nourishing with God's economy, avoiding Laodicean pride and lukewarmness. [01:02:06], [01:26:22] - **Witness Lee's Crowd Filter**: In first Taiwan gospel meeting, crowds came but Witness Lee told them they offer only Jesus Christ, not welfare; half left, leaving real seekers hungry for Christ, not numbers. [50:17], [51:47]

Well, good morning saints. It's good to be here. Uh this will be our final
be here. Uh this will be our final session of our weekend conference.
Uh [clears throat] for the sake of those who were could not join us in the past uh few meetings, I will just give a very brief quick recap
uh of what we covered.
uh as we have been uh practicing in the previous years we have uh selected uh four of the messages from the recent
elders training messages the title the general subject of that training was the crucial aspects of
Matthew 5 through7 I'm sure many of us have read uh the book of Matthew and familiar with uh
those chapters and those chapters are considered as the constitution of the kingdom of the heavens. The book of
Matthew is the gospel is the king kingly gospel um is the gospel in relation to God's
kingdom.
and uh not only God's kingdom in a general sense but also the kingdom of the
heavens in a more particular sense.
The Lord Jesus when he came when he uh was walking on the earth he says that repent for the kingdom of the heavens is
drawing near. So on the one hand while
drawing near. So on the one hand while the kingdom of God was already in existence but the kingdom of he of the heavens was
yet to come and this kingdom of the heavens is particularly referring to the church his body that is
to be brought forth.
The kingdom, his kingdom is in the church today and also that kingdom of
the heavens extends to the next age including the millennial kingdom. This
period is what the Lord referred to as the kingdom of the heavens.
So this is very much related to us and we know the Lord when he comes back he will bring his kingdom with him. He
will begin [clears throat] the millennial kingdom the thousand years of reigning on the earth with his
overcomers.
Well, but that coming of the kingdom should not just come in an objective way. Something just uh the environment
way. Something just uh the environment just changed, something just dropped from the heavens. Not in that way.
Rather Jesus as the son of man when he came to the earth, he came as a swer. He sold
the seed of the kingdom.
He sold the seed of the kingdom into all the believers. So the kingdom was
the believers. So the kingdom was already in us as a little seed developing
developing into the kingdom in reality which corporately today is the church.
So with this kingdom of the heavens, when the Lord for the when the Lord comes back, he desires to see this
kingdom is already in existence among his children, among all the believers in reality.
>> This is the burden that is on our heart.
I believe when the Lord brought us to those messages released there in Malaysia, we are very close to that time, the end
of the age.
A bridegroom is coming on the one hand to to marry the bride.
On the other hand, he is coming as the king with his heavenly kingdom.
But dear brothers and sisters, where is the kingdom today?
In a general sense, we say the church is the kingdom. True.
the kingdom. True.
But is Christ reigning in you? Is Christ
reigning in my heart?
On the one hand, the church is the kingdom of God today.
But practically, experientially, the Lord must gain further ground in us.
That he truly can be the king in us to reign and rule within each one of us.
We must be his kingdom. In reality,
today taught us concerning the kingdom, the heavenly kingdom. There are these three
heavenly kingdom. There are these three aspects.
There's a kingdom. There's the reality of the kingdom. And there is the appearance of the kingdom and also the manifestation of the kingdom.
[clears throat] All are revealed in the book of Matthew chapters 5-7 as the king as the constitution of the
kingdom of the heavens revealed to us the reality of the kingdom of the heavens.
This is what the kingdom of the heavens really what it really is in all genuiness
in his reality. All the aspects so high all the the sup as expressed in that supreme teaching of the Lord Jesus.
It seemed so impossible when we whenever we read those portions that the Lord demanded
for us to turn our face when someone slap us on the left face and we turn to the the other side turn our cheek.
None of us by our natural life can do that.
But the Lord is not talking about your natural life. what you can do. But he is
natural life. what you can do. But he is pointing us to us, pointing out to us that we can be as perfect
as the heavenly father is perfect.
>> We shall be perfect.
>> He is describing the perfection of the father's life that has been reproduced, regenerated within us.
We are not just ordinary people. We are
not just a group of religious ones. We
are the father's children. We are the regenerated bornagain believers receiving the father's life and nature within us.
That life has all the ability and capacity to fulfill all that is spoken in those three chapters.
We should not read those chapters objectively or just uh brushing it off, pushing away.
We should humbly come before the Lord.
Lord, thank you, Father. This is your life. This is the description
life. This is the description of [clears throat] your life.
>> Amen.
>> That has been reproduced in us.
Fulfill it in me according to this word.
>> Fulfill it in me according to what is shown here in this uh in this supreme teaching.
The kingdom must have a reality.
But in chapter 13 of Matthew, we are shown there is there is an aspect of the kingdom called the appearance
which refers to today's Christianom.
In a country like uh America, a Christian country, over half of the population profess themselves to be Christians,
either Catholic or Protestants.
Are they genuinely regenerated?
Many, sorry to say, they are Christians by name. They are not Christians in
by name. They are not Christians in life.
This is what [clears throat] Matthew talk about. The tears, right?
The enemy had sown among the wheat.
The tears look very much like the wheat until the harvest time.
The tears will turn black and will be shown as it is. That's that's not the genuine wheat.
Today's Christianity is is big is huge in a country like America.
But [clears throat] within in this in this huge Christian kingdom, [clears throat]
how much of that has the genuine reality?
How much how many of the believers are genuinely saved? And also even among the
genuinely saved? And also even among the genuinely saved ones, how many are pursuing the Lord, loving the Lord, consecrating themselves to the Lord.
[clears throat] We are surely not here criticizing, indicting anyone.
The Lord knows some are more ready and some are less ready. But by the Lord's mercy, you
ready. But by the Lord's mercy, you know, we are here.
The word has been open to us to realize there is such a situation of the appearance which Matthew 13
reveal as a big tree.
What the Lord planted was just a small mustard seed supposed to grow to be a to be a very nutritious herb
plant for people to be nourished by. But
instead it grew abnormally.
It's deformed to become a huge tree.
That is today's system, religious system [clears throat and cough] where there are a lot of rituals, a lot of formalities,
a lot of outward doctrines, teachings, but no power, no reality.
So this is what Matthew 13 talks about as the appearance of the kingdom. It has
a facade.
There can be organization they are they have thousands tens of thousands of membership but it's just a big tree. The
Lord is not interested in the vastness in the huge in the in how big it is. The
Lord is interested in the genuiness, in the reality, the manifestation of the kingdom which
is being revealed in chapters 24 and 25, which is the kingdom fully manifested.
When the Lord Jesus comes back, that will be the time for the kingdom to be fully brought in, fully manifested. And
those who are living in the reality of the kingdom today will be transferred into that kingdom in manifestation.
So today we are living in this realm where either you can be in just an appearance of the kingdom.
You are in some you know a uh big big denomination or you are in just a small little local church.
The Lord desires to have the kingdom in reality. He must have the kingdom in
reality. He must have the kingdom in reality. How can the king comes back to
reality. How can the king comes back to this earth bringing something objective as a kingdom to bring it to the earth yet on the earth there are no one who is
living in that reality.
Someone who is still loving the world some someone who is still those who are still living in sin and all of a sudden he can say okay here's the kingdom he can come in now just transfer you into
that kingdom.
I think the Lord is smarter than that, right? You won't do something like that.
right? You won't do something like that.
He just you [clears throat] you you are not in that reality.
The Lord desires and he must have the reality of his kingdom on the earth today before he returns. And I believe that was uh that was the underlying
burden the Lord has in releasing these messages to us.
Well, thank the Lord that we are in the churches in the Lord's recovery. We have
been called out from all the denominations, from all the divisions.
Thank the Lord for his mercy.
>> Surely, you know, many of you maybe you came from that background.
You are you are you're out of that now.
You are in the genuine church where all of us we are genuine bloodwash spirit regenerated believers.
However, the question still remains. Are
we living in the reality of the kingdom as described in these few chapters?
Brother Ted began the first message bringing us to [clears throat] the first point when the Lord Jesus opened up this
constitution of the kingdom in chapter 5 saying blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of the
heavens. The kingdom of the heavens
heavens. The kingdom of the heavens belong to those who are poor in spirit >> and blessed are the pure in heart for
they shall see God.
It seems that you know these two sentences are so simple, so familiar to all of us.
But these days it really there's a is ringing in my being. Am I poor in spirit? Am I pure in heart?
spirit? Am I pure in heart?
We all have to bring this before the Lord and before his light.
It means everything.
To be poor in spirit is not to have a poor spirit.
>> We should not have a poor spirit but we need to be poor in spirit. Our spirit
needs to be emptied, unloaded, unoccupied.
You just even on the way here, we just talk a little bit. He said it is so easy for us to be occupied. It's so easy for us to pick up things.
We have left the world behind. We have
come into the church life. We still have you know in a sense outwardly you left religion you left this denominations but now you come into the genuine church
within you.
You may still be easily occupied by the teachings that we have high teachings healthy teachings.
But how do you take those teachings just as some knowledge that you are you feel proud of? We are
we have the high peak of all the truths.
We have the best practices among Christians.
The danger lies is that when you feel we have it, you feel content. We have we have we have reached it. We have
arrived.
I believe the spirit is speaking a particular word to us these days.
>> Saints, we have not arrived.
As the apostle Paul himself said, every day he would forget the things behind.
>> And stretching forward to the things before.
>> We need the Lord's grace, a grace to forget.
Many of you, a good number of the young ones have passed through the full-time training.
Don't assume just because you've you have passed through the full-time training, you have attained to a certain status, a [clears throat] certain kind of a
arrive at a certain condition.
I hope maybe you should even the the more be humbled and empty. Lord,
according to what I ought to know, I still don't know.
I still don't know.
I mean, to be fair, it is true. We are
of all people most blessed.
But really, we are so blessed with God's word being opened up to us in such an unprecedented way.
But at the same time, be careful that you will not become self-contented always to be poor in spirit.
>> Always coming to the Lord and say, "Lord, I need you. [clears throat]
I need your mercy. I need fresh mercy every day.
Knowledgewise we have a lot but experiences experience experience in in in terms of experience we are still so lacking. [clears throat]
We need to be poor in spirit. We need to be poor in heart. Pure in heart.
No wonder Sister Emmy Barber I believe it was her who said who prayed to the Lord every day. She says, "God, give me a
forever hunger."
forever hunger." >> Something like that, right?
>> Give me a hunger that will never end.
>> Your hunger for the Lord, for his word, is the beginning of your progress. It's
the continuation of your progress. As
soon as you feel I'm full, I'm fine.
Sorry, you are done.
Your progress stops there.
I don't know where you are in your life with the Lord.
Are you on a plateau?
You're gliding along.
In those first few years, you touched the church life, you were soaring. You
were climbing. But up to a certain point after a few years you picked up the triune God you picked up the gods economy you take picked up
the spirit and now now what's new then you start gliding on this plateau the meeting you still are faithful to
come but is not hungry anymore about half maybe few months ago I got to meet a brother from China
[clears throat] and then we had a meal together and he is from that uh he was a he is with a so-called watchman group if you
know he is with a there are couple of millions of them who are still following faithfully along you know this uh the way led by brother knee
and in that you know in that fellowship I was just very deeply touched he told me I asked Why do you why do you come out
here to fellowship with us? And then uh he said well you know we have been meeting since brother Nie's time has not stopped since 1922. The meeting started
in Fucha and uh it has been going on for over 100 years and he said it will still continue. It is still of course you know
continue. It is still of course you know the the the the you know they're meeting in the homes underground and so forth but he said the meeting has never stopped and it will continue.
However, he is he said, "I'm very concerned with so many of the ones who are still coming to the meeting.
They don't even know what they're coming here for."
here for." And he he you know he's about 50 50 some year old. He said, "Brother N told us
year old. He said, "Brother N told us our vision is Christ and the church." I
say, "Amen, brother." This was this was our vision. This was what brother knee
our vision. This was what brother knee passed on to us.
But he said today many of the younger ones they continue to come because that's how their parents, their grandparents, their great-grandparents,
but many don't read that much anymore and they don't have as much as we do.
Has that really touched my heart? And
somewhat I in a way I kind of echo what he says because in some ways we are also finding ourselves in a similar situation.
So [clears throat] the meetings may continue the teachings may continue but where is the hunger?
So dear saints, you know, Matthew 5:3 I hope will be a fresh word to us after this weekend.
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
Blessed are the pure in heart.
It's not about how much you know. It's
not about even how much you have experienced.
Every day you have to ask God for this mercy. Lord, give me mercy today to
mercy. Lord, give me mercy today to forget what I earn. what I learned.
>> Amen.
>> Bad or good, >> forget it. Today is a new day. There are
still yet more light and truth to be ex to be open to opened up to us in his word.
We want to explore. We want to go forward. We don't want to stop short.
forward. We don't want to stop short.
The time is drawing close.
The Lord must have his kingdom in reality among us.
And we went into went into the second message touching the matter of prayer which the Lord touched
after chapter five. He taught us how to pray. That prayer is most unusual. That
pray. That prayer is most unusual. That
prayer is not so much just expressing our needs to God as many do today.
That prayer is very much focused on the triune God himself. It began
with saying, "Father, may your name be sanctified.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done on earth as it is in the heavens.
Saints, we have to learn relearn our prayer to relearn to to turn from our self-centered people centered prayer to God- centered prayer.
>> Amen.
>> We need to pray ourselves into the triune God.
After that initiation, that beginning the Lord also to reminded us that we need to pray protective prayers for oursel for our daily need
for our relationship with others. There
will be no indebtedness with with other people and even for us not to be presumptuous
that we would ask the Lord to keep us from temptation.
Don't be so daring that you are strong, you are spiritual, you are invincible,
Satan will not be able to get you.
Don't say that.
Ask the Lord to deliver you from temptation, from being sifted by the devil.
>> And even at the end concluding with a prayer that exalt, exalt our God.
>> Amen.
>> Unto you be the kingdom, be the power, and the glory.
>> Amen.
>> It begins with the father. It ends with the father. That prayer the Lord taught
the father. That prayer the Lord taught his disciples is all together a prayer that is focused
centered on God himself and his will his des his his interest on the earth.
It doesn't mean that we don't pray for all our all our own needs. It doesn't
mean that. It just mean brothers and sisters yes as we now still pray for our various needs we have within us even our
needs are for his kingdom.
All our earthly needs our health our livelihood our shelter our clothing must be properly aligned with God's
will. Don't just pray for your health
will. Don't just pray for your health for your health's sake. Don't just pay for your for your work, for your employment, for your employment's sake.
Our health, our employment, our livelihood are all for his kingdom.
>> Amen.
>> Are for are all for his will.
And that kind of prayer really presents a secret for us to enter into that reality of the
kingdom. We cannot have that reality of
kingdom. We cannot have that reality of the kingdom by our by our own effort, by our own doing.
But it's only by prayer, surrendering ourselves to to the triune God, praying ourselves into him.
>> Amen.
>> And last night, yesterday afternoon, we had another wonderful message continuing this burden of prayer. Not only we need to pray, but we need to pray in a hidden
way. The father is not only listening,
way. The father is not only listening, he is seeing. He is watching how you pray.
We should not pray in a way to show off how spiritual you are.
It was interesting. The father sees us.
He is not only listening, he is seeing.
He is watching how you pray.
Not like the Pharisees impressing people with all their good deeds.
There is something called the hidden life with an overcomer.
Our [clears throat] even in the in the in the lost recovery, we enjoy our corporate gathering so much. Seven times a year, we corporate
much. Seven times a year, we corporate gathering, we have feast, we have lending.
But we don't we have we don't discount that at all. But along with that you and I we all must have an personal private
intimate affectionate spiritual relationship with the Lord.
>> Amen.
>> That is irreplaceable by anything.
No one, not your most intimate dear brother and sister can gain Christ for you.
>> You have to do it yourself.
>> I know many saints enjoy having two or threes having morning revival together on the phone. You know that is most encouraging. Amen. I agree with that.
encouraging. Amen. I agree with that.
But I also like to say to you before you have your two or three morning revival, spend a few minutes by yourself with the
Lord.
>> The corporate time can never be a substitute replace our personal time with the Lord.
And our personal time with the Lord needs to go deeper and deeper. Brother
Ted brought us you know in front of all these uh challenges that we have all the you know he he said we need to come back to the basics which I fully agree what
are the basics his word the spirit and prayer these are the three basic things
every Christian cannot can never and should never graduate from.
You know, I've been enjoying the tabernacle very much. Very, very much.
You have the altar court where we experience Christ's accomplishment. He
died for us. He is our offerings.
Every morning when I come to this altar, I am convicted.
I am only good for death and burial.
That's why God made a provision for me with [clears throat] all these offerings. But then when we come into
offerings. But then when we come into the holy place to begin our life of mingling with God, what do we see? You
see the showbread table signifying the word to be our life supply. We see the lampstand that is the
supply. We see the lampstand that is the light of the spirit shining.
Our spirit needs to be like a lamp. Our
spirit, the spirit, God's spirit is the lamp is the light. Our spirit is also a lamp >> that needs to shine forth >> and also
the the incense altar where the prayer is offered.
Those are the three elements in the holy place where we when we leave where we have a a life of mingling with God through his word through us through the spirit and through prayer.
>> Amen.
>> And when you go further into the holy of holies actually exactly the same three items in different forms but now in a hidden way
hidden within the ark. There are also three items. You have the tablets of the law corresponding to the word
that be the you have the hidden mana corresponding to the word and also you
have the budding rod of Aaron corresponding to the resurrection life
for God's acceptance corresponding to the incense altar.
where we offer the incense for our acceptance and the tablets of the law corresponds to the lamp, the light, the
lampstand.
>> You and I can never graduate from these three matters.
All we need is just go deeper and deeper.
From the holy place, we go into the holy of holies in that shikina glory. We
experience these in the most deeper hidden way.
I really hope all the saints that these days we are on the one hand so blessed with all the riches of the truth.
You and I need to bring all that we have heard we have learned to the Lord even in the most hidden way
secret way before the [clears throat] Lord.
Well, I better move on this morning. we
come to this uh last message which touches uh the last portion of this section of
Matthew in from chapter 7.
This is from the verses uh chapter 7 13 and 14 I can read to you which is which is in
under point number one.
Enter in through the narrow gate. For
wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many are those who enter through it. Because
narrow is the gate and constricted is the way that leads to life and few are those who find it.
So after the lord gave all the so much uh the uh uh so many aspects of
the kingdom's constitution.
He concluded this portion with this word that there is a narrow gate
and there is a uh also a wide gate.
After the narrow gate there is so-called a constricted way and after a wide gate there is a broadway.
He said there are many are walking on this Broadway easy convenient
many they found this way readily but there is another way it's a constricted way after the narrow gate
and there are few who know about this who find why the Lord suddenly put out such a
contrast between these two options.
You know, just a little bit about the gate and the way. The gate is
way. The gate is referring to an entrance, right? You are you're outside and you
right? You are you're outside and you walk through a gate and you're inside instantly.
So even though the gate may be narrow but just uh you can just walk through you're in. So it transfer you from one
you're in. So it transfer you from one realm to another realm right. So even
with that gate there is a narrow gate and there's a wide gate but you can get into that you can get into a gate fairly easily and fairly
quickly. It brings you to another realm.
quickly. It brings you to another realm.
But then after the gate there is something called the way the path behind that gate which is long
and that that gate can be that way can be broad every city has a broadway right I'm just in your downtown there's always a I
think most of the Broadways are downtown right there New York has a way
and uh but then opposite to that there is a constricted way not just a narrow it's constricted
this word constricted is very meaningful it's is compressing is is a is not just it just it just you are under under a
kind of a squeeze as you are walking on this way.
Well, our burden of this morning is about the way, not so much about the gate. I just briefly mentioned to you,
gate. I just briefly mentioned to you, but the gate gives you an end gives you a transfer from one location to another location. Actually like the when you
location. Actually like the when you first got saved, you enter through a gate and that gate actually, you know, some somewhat it is a narrow gate and
for everyone who received the gospel and got saved, you enter instantly into the kingdom of God, right? But don't forget just because you now you became a
Christian, you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, you enter now through the gate, there is still a long way ahead of you.
There's a long way and this way that the Lord show us is not should not be a broad way.
Many are walking on that broadway easy convenient.
But here the Lord wants us to walk on this constricted way. Not easy to walk.
Always feeling being squeezed being pressed.
Do you feel that sometimes especially many of the young working saints you know you have a you know high demanding job your boss put you know
you're under his thumb all the time you know produce produce and you have four kids at home crying feed me take care of me bring me here
bring me there and you have the brothers in the church giving you responsibility don't they understand I'm already busy enough.
Why do you squeeze me some more?
You're under you are just in this walking in a very con constricted way being pressed from all sides.
[clears throat] Why would the Lord present to us such a contrast of these two ways toward the end of this high
supreme teaching?
In order for us for the Lord to gain the reality of the kingdom of the heavens in us, we must see these two options, these
two pathways. And we must make a choice.
two pathways. And we must make a choice.
We are taking not the broadway but the constricted way.
That is the way that will lead you to life.
>> Amen.
>> The broadway will is easy and comfortable but will lead you to destruction.
Amen.
>> This is for sure.
Today the Lord's recovery is taking is not a broad way.
It's a constricted way. What does it mean by constricted?
We are under a constrained under a restriction all the time. We
cannot do things other Christians do. We
cannot play play rock music.
We cannot have magic shows in our meeting to to enter to entertain the people to draw a big crowd.
We cannot do many things. Sometimes you
I know some of the young ones may may may may wonder why don't we do something different?
Why don't we learn from these mega churches? We have the best truth. We we
churches? We have the best truth. We we
just we just have to change some ways that we do things. Then we can draw a bigger crowd.
Dear brothers and sisters, we all are burdened for increase. We are burdened for increase. The Lord must have a
for increase. The Lord must have a substantial expression of his testimony
on the earth. But not just mere number.
There has to be a substantial increase in the weight of Christ in us.
>> Amen.
>> Not just a mere number outwardly. There
has to be a substantial weight of the triune God in our being.
If it's just fluffy with a lot of huge big volume, big quantity of numbers, people,
huge building, facade, the Lord couldn't care less.
I always love the verse in uh Isaiah 66 where Jehovah says, "The heaven is my
throne, the earth is my foottool.
Where is the place of my rest?
Where is my rest?
all these uh glamorous places, beautiful buildings, big groups of people. Where is the place
of my rest? He said to those who are contrite in spirit, who tremble at my word. These are the ones I'm looking
word. These are the ones I'm looking for.
I'm looking for those who are contrite in spirit.
And we tremble at the Lord's word. These
are the ones with whom and among whom God finds his home. God finds his
resting place.
So we are in the blessed wonderful recovery of the Lord today.
>> Amen.
And but as we see you know so many of the next generation the young ones are being raised up you know in the recovery
we we have so much burden for you all but even including the older saints not to you know not not that you are being
neglected even the older saints we need to be refreshed be reminded what we are in we are not another movement ment of
today's Christianity.
We are not another branch of another religious branch of today's many movements.
We are the Lord's recovery.
We are here to bring in to cooperate with the Lord for his final move on the earth.
for the last 2,000 years in in in the church history in spite of all the things that went on the Catholic Church rising up and then the Protestant
churches you know coming out and the you know there's always a small number of seeking ones the Lord is moving through
them and so in spite of all the outward facade facade But in the in the general Christianity, the Christianom,
there is this uh the line of God's move among we call them a remnant, a small number of genuinely genuine seekers of
the Lord who are hungry for him who are seeking for the real thing for the reality who is not satisfied with all the all the fluff and all the
superficial things.
This is how [snorts] the Lord's recovery is being raised up. And when I say the Lord's recovery, I really don't mean just begins with botchman. I mean even
from from early on in the early centuries, God has been already started his recovery work.
But of course passing through Martin Luther and the further stages of recovery and then you know coming to you know through the brethren and then through the and then coming to watchman
we are just a continuation of the Lord's recovery work on the earth. We are by no
means a kind of a uh uh standalone you know people. We are of this rank of
genuine of seekers seeking the Lord concerning his interest, his will, his eternal
purpose.
Well, I better move on here.
here the the way this way actually interestingly in uh in Acts
when when the apo when uh uh Saul of Tarsus when he was still a persecutor he went about to what to to to bind
those who are so-called on the way the way he those believers.
Those believers in the early church, they were considered by others as those who are in the way as a kind of a designation.
That means the way they do things, the way they practice is is unusual, uncommon.
Of course, what what Saul of Tarsus did was he went about everywhere looking for those who call on the name of Jesus.
>> Amen.
>> These are the ones who are on the way.
They belong to that thing called the way.
>> Amen.
>> They do things totally out of tradition unconventional the way
and you know in the New Testament there also a number of mention of the number of modifiers of what this way is. It is the way of truth. It is
way is. It is the way of truth. It is
the straight way. It is the way of righteousness. It is the way of peace.
righteousness. It is the way of peace.
It is the way of salvation. It is the way of God. It is the way of the Lord.
>> There is a way, brothers and sisters. We
are now I believe we all have entered through the gate. Even the narrow gate, but now we find ourselves on the way.
How do you walk on this way? There is
still a long journey ahead of us. You
have to know this way should be a constricted way. And this way actually
constricted way. And this way actually the Lord Jesus said himself I am the way. I am the way. Christ is the way.
way. I am the way. Christ is the way.
The way our way actually eventually comes down is a person is Christ himself. He is our righteousness. He is
himself. He is our righteousness. He is
the re he is the that althia that truth.
He is the peace.
This is the way that we are walking on.
We are taking not the way of prosperity.
Not the way of success, not the way of prominence.
It's the way of truth, the way of righteousness, the way of God, the way of the Lord.
B says the Broadway leading to destruction is according to the worldly systems satisfying the natural tastes to
get the crowd to maintain a career of man and to achieve man's enterprise.
When brother witness Lee [clears throat] first, you know, when he was sent to Taiwan, he held his first gospel meeting
and then uh as he expected, crowds of people came to attend that meeting, standing room only.
If you were you if you were there, you would be rejoicing. Praise the Lord. You
know, this is a this is our time.
You know, so many fled from China. They
were in, you know, many were there refugees and they were looking for something. And
brother Lee knew that.
So right off the bat before he preached the gospel, he told them, "Dear friends, thank you for coming here. But if you
came here for some reasons, some other purposes, we are here make only to offer you Jesus Christ.
We are here to present you the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are here looking
Jesus Christ. If you are here looking for something else for some welfare, sorry, you have come to the wrong place.
[snorts] He was very straightforward.
And the second meeting half didn't show up. And brother said, I'm so happy.
up. And brother said, I'm so happy.
You know, I I'm so happy because he knew now the ones who came, they are they are they're here for Jesus Christ. They're
not here for welfare. They're not here for just some help.
That was that testimony really touched me.
You know, on the one hand, we do want to see the Lord gain many.
It is God's heart's desire that all men should be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth. I mean, there is a particular burden especially in these
days. The spirit is moving is really
days. The spirit is moving is really moving. A lot are a lot of the hearts
moving. A lot are a lot of the hearts are being turned. This is a crucial time. But at the same time, we need to
time. But at the same time, we need to remind ourselves. We're not here just to
remind ourselves. We're not here just to just to have a movement, just to gain a crowd. We are here to present the true
crowd. We are here to present the true gospel. Present Jesus Christ to people
gospel. Present Jesus Christ to people to the real seekers who are hungry for him.
This this is the characteristic of the Lord's recovery. And this sh this shall
Lord's recovery. And this sh this shall be still forever the characteristic of the Lord's recovery. never to become just another
recovery. never to become just another branch of today's movement to gain a big
crowd to b raise up a mega church. Today
this Broadway is fully in this worldly system catering to the taste of men. The
natural tastes to the crowd to get crowd maintain career of man achieve man's enterprise.
sees as the constricted way leading to life is according to the divine regulations fulfilling the spiritual
requests to bring in God's elect to bear the testimony of Jesus Christ and to carry out God's economy for the building
up of the body of Christ. Dear saints,
this is what we are doing. This is what we are burdened for. This is what we are commissioned to what?
To be under the divine regulation.
We are we are we have a regulation. We
don't have a written regulation.
You can do this. You cannot do this. We
don't have those uh we don't have we don't have uh uh the the the the written dos and don'ts as in many denominations.
You cannot smoke. You cannot go to nightclubs. You cannot gamble. We don't
nightclubs. You cannot gamble. We don't
have those outward regulations.
But we are constantly under [clears throat] an inward inner regulation, the divine regulation by the divine life within us
fulfilling the spiritual requests to bring in God's elect to bear the testimony of Jesus Christ to carry out God's economy for the building
up of the church as the body of Christ.
I really hope these days, brothers and sisters, as we are, you know, living in a very chaotic world, complicated [clears throat]
situation, complicating situations in the world, in your in your office, you know, in your personal life, raising
up children, never forget our vision.
The vision that has kept us here, preserved us here to this point.
The God [clears throat] ordained way is to have a living and working that are always narrow and constricted according to the pattern of the Lord's
indescribable life and ministry.
There's really so much to talk about here.
This is the genuine god orained way. The
way taken by the Lord when he was on the earth.
We in the Lord's recovery must walk in our spirit. Walking in spirit restricts
our spirit. Walking in spirit restricts us, causing us to live a normal Christian life and making us vital healthy believers who take the way of
life for God's building.
Do you like this word to hear? Walking
in spirit restricts us. You
[clears throat] say, "I thought walking in spirit frees us."
The spirit sets us free.
Yes.
Freees you from the law of sin and death.
But it does not free you from just doing anything you want according to the lust of the flesh, your your natural desire.
The more we exercise the spirit, the more we learn to walk in the spirit, the more you find yourself restricted.
As I mentioned in the beginning, we cannot do the things many denominations do. Even as we as we're looking at how
do. Even as we as we're looking at how successful they are, how many people they they drew attracted sorry we just cannot do those things. Not that we
cannot we don't have the ability but just we don't we have an inward restriction to live in the spirit restricts us and this restriction is
healthy.
It helps us to grow. It helps us to know the Lord. It helps us to be one with
the Lord. It helps us to be one with him.
Next point says we must learn to restrict ourselves in our labor according to the measure of the rule that the God of measure, the ruling God
has aortioned to us. Can you imagine there is such a verse in the New Testament. Our God is called the God of
Testament. Our God is called the God of measure.
We don't God did not measure everything to us. God only measures certain portion
to us. God only measures certain portion to us, certain gift, certain function.
We have to learn to live and walk according to God's measure. Don't go
beyond.
The apostle Paul was very conscious of this. Even when he was they were going
this. Even when he was they were going around to preach the gospel, he was very conscious of the God of measure.
They would not just do things recklessly.
trampling on others area what others have done they're very conscious as powerful as they were as spiritual as they were they
were conscious of the god of measure how we function how we serve in the church life we have to do that within
measure The more we are constricted, the more we are regulated
and the more we are regulated, the more we are healthy. To be vital means to be healthy.
You want to be vital, right? You need to be regulated.
Vital doesn't mean that you can just jump up and down. You can just do whatever you want. Vital means you are regulated,
healthy.
Paul's desire, Paul desired to admonish every man and to teach every man in all wisdom that he might present every man
fullgrown in Christ. Paul did not depend on miracles, but his work was much more
in the quotequote every man way.
I really love that expression.
Paul was taking not the movement way, not the big crowd way, but the everyman way.
One at a time he was burdened to present every man fullgrown in Christ. That was
the apostle's burden.
It's a slow work but it's a sure work.
He was not concerned about crowds big number. He was concerned about these
number. He was concerned about these believers can be presented full grown fullgrown.
As we are shephering one another, shephering the new ones and young ones, our burden, our desires to see them be brought on to maturity,
to grow in life, not just to gain some number, to gain a crowd.
Okay?
I like to skip the second because of time. Uh the second Roman numeral which
time. Uh the second Roman numeral which is a description of this way of life.
These aspects we need to en to uh remain uh by living and serving according to the principle of life not according to right and wrong by loving the lord by
eating Jesus and so forth that we can be kept on this way of life to be healthy now we going to come to the third section the god orained pathway for the
church is the way of Philadelphia this god orained pathway is the conr icted way that leads to life.
The brother who prepared the outline, you know, brought into light the uh the church in Philadelphia
as an application of the constricted way.
We know in the book of revelation uh there were seven churches in Asia
and the Holy Spirit chose those seven churches to signify the development of
the church in the new testament age.
There are these seven churches in a prophetic sense show us how the church in the new testament will be developed.
You have the first the church in Ephesus that is that was the initial church who was fervent.
They were absolute for the Lord, laboring hard.
But the Lord did did warn them, you have lost your first love. You labor
very much for me. But something begin to Wayne. Your first love, the freshness.
Wayne. Your first love, the freshness.
Then followed by the church in Smyrna.
That's mrna the church that is a church it signifies the suffering church a church under under the persecution of
the Roman Empire. The church was suffering.
That was the stage in the first few centuries.
The Roman Empire killed so many genuine Christians, persecuted them.
Then after Smyrna there's a church in Pergamos.
Pergamos means married. Now the Roman emperor particularly Constantine he realized after exercising so much
persecution against the Christians they still did not die out.
>> They continued to proliferate. They
continue to go on. So he changed the tactic. He welcomed them.
tactic. He welcomed them.
He opened up the door for any all the Christians to become to be subject to them to become his subject
by offering them certain welfare certain goods to gain the support for him for himself. So that was a period the church
himself. So that was a period the church and the world got married. That's
Pergamos.
These three churches what they what they signify the stages of the church already passed.
The next four the next four signify churches which are still
remaining today ongoing all the way until the Lord comes back. very
interesting is in only in these next four churches beginning with Thotyra followed by Sardis and then Philadelphia and then Leodia in all these four
epistles the Lord mentioned until I come.
It's related to his coming. It will be still here until the Lord comes.
What is what is Thotyra?
Thotyra signifies the apostate church which is the Roman Catholic Church that in the sixth century when when the
Catholic system was fully formed the papal system established there you see the Jezebel mentioned there in
Thotyra that is the great harlot mentioned at the end of revelation.
All the Bible students know that big great harlot refers to the Catholic Church today.
That's the Jezebel. That is firey bringing in fornication, spiritual fornication idolatry.
There was a formidable system lasting going on from the formal establishment
of the papal system up to the time of reformation by uh Martin Luther about a thousand years
the Bible was locked up. There was no light totally under the hand of this
clergy class hierarchical system from the pope down.
It was darkness.
Historically, it's called the dark ages.
For a thousand years under the Roman Catholic Church, no one is allowed to read the Bible for yourself. You need an you need an
yourself. You need an you need an intermediary.
Until the time all of a sudden just about 500 years ago, God raised up a young man in Germany by
the name of Martin Luther.
He was bold. He was strong to stand up against a fallacy of Catholic church, the Catholic system.
He he read the scriptures. He read the New Testament, particularly from Romans and Galatians. Man can be justified by
and Galatians. Man can be justified by faith. Man does not need to go through
faith. Man does not need to go through some intermediary class. He stood up against the pope.
He nailed his 99 thesis on the wall on the door of the Catholic Church challenging that system. He was bold. He brought in the
system. He was bold. He brought in the so-called Reformation.
That was a great turning point for God's people, for so many of God's people to be rescued from that dark Catholic system.
But not too long after that great turning point, these so-called Protestant churches, right, they protested against the
Catholic Church. These are the
Catholic Church. These are the Protestant churches. They became
Protestant churches. They became dead lifeless.
They had a good beginning, but they became just lifeless. That was signified by Sardis where the Lord rebuked the church there. You have a name that is
church there. You have a name that is living, but yet you are actually dead.
Very meaningful.
that lasts for another few couple hundred years.
And then after Sardis, there's a church in Philadelphia, a church of brotherly love.
Historically what happened exactly 400 years ago 1825 in Ireland there were a few believers
began to realize something wrong with this they saw the fallacy of cath the Catholic system they also saw all the divi division the superficiality
the division the hierarchy practice in the so-called Protestant churches They realize they have a the Holy Spirit put such a
love within them. They love all the believers regardless of which which denomination they are from. They just
have a these are all God's children.
These are all our brothers.
We should come together irrespective of what your all your all your divisional background.
They saw that God has only one church on the earth. We are the church of church
the earth. We are the church of church of the lord. We are the body of Christ and also every member is part has is part of the universal priesthood. We all
have everyone has a has a function. We
should not rely on just one person speaking on behalf of everyone.
Even back then these these ones saw something just a few of them two or three of them.
Then the spirit began to move and within I think about two years later a young man Anglican priest by the name
of John Nelson Derby he was a clergy man in the Anglican church he also felt dissatisfied with that Anglican church system.
He met with these brothers. Eventually
he realized by his study of the word the body is one. There should be no ground for division.
And also all the members we all the same. There should not be clergy. There
same. There should not be clergy. There
should not be leoty.
He threw away his clerical garb, his robe, his being the priest
and he just meet met together with these other believers and they call each other's brothers.
They're no lords, no reverends, no priests, just brothers.
That was how that so-called brethren started.
That were just 400 years ago.
And then the spirit continued to move three, four, five, 10, 20 began to move not only in was in Ireland, in Dublin.
And then God began also to this this this move of the Lord began to spread into different parts of Europe, even into America.
Many many believers start to be awakened and seeing the need and God by his sovereignty even added
brought in many great teachers forsaking all their titles all their accomplishments and met together with these brothers. My the
truth the light of the truth was released was poured out like a torrent waterfall.
>> [gasps] >> And the history tells us that in those days even a baker in a bakery shop knows the
Bible much better than the Catholic priest than the former priest. They know
the word.
Just commoners the spirit moves so powerfully.
DM Penton he actually said that the movement of course he used the movement with the brethren was much much
stronger than the reformation movement.
The reformation was more well known because of also the political affiliation in quantity
but with the brethren is somewhat more hidden less well less known but the quality is unsurpassed.
God's blessing through the brethren.
Nearly every all the truths that we are receiving help in came from that source.
They were the fulfillment of the church in Philadelphia.
They do not deny the Lord's name. They
kept the Lord's word.
They have a little power. Those men
Derby and those great teachers they forsook not only the secular world even the religious world they put aside
you know you can hardly find a picture of Dobby they don't take pictures that's too worldly to us today is we take picture all the
time [laughter] but to them taking picture is worldly They don't hardly have any. They just
escaped totally forsaken the world, the secular world and the religious world.
They fulfill the word in Revelation 3 concerning Philadelphia. They were the
concerning Philadelphia. They were the fulfillment.
It was so and it's so interesting because unfortunately that [clears throat] movement lasted only about quarter
century no more than 30 years because of the abundance of teaching of knowledge.
They were so rich brothers yet you cannot realize what the Lord did through them is just unprecedented.
But yet they became full. They became
rich so that they degraded to become the so-called Leodysia, the last church where
the Lord says, "You say I am rich.
I'm in need of nothing."
That was exactly how those brethren became after they have shown so much.
Well, this is the historical part.
You have the Lord's prophetic word in Revelation 2 and 3. And you have a historical actually fulfillment of that prophecy.
And I now I'd like to come to ourselves, come to us. Who are we? Who are we? What
are we?
Are we diety? Absolutely not. We are not have nothing to do with that Catholic system.
Are we saw this the so-called Protestant churches?
No, not exactly. We are not of that system neither.
I think by the Lord's mercy and grace, our dear brothers like brother watchman knee and brother Lee especially brother watchman who who stood on the shoulders
of these uh British brethren he I believe he read all their books all their publications he received so much help from them and
that's what he passed on to us passed on to brother Lee and then to us. We are indebted to them.
So now we find ourselves also somewhat is in the line of Philadelphia.
We are we have been receiving.
We we love the Lord's the Lord's name.
We do not deny his word. We keep his word. We do not deny his name.
word. We do not deny his name.
You look at the whole Christianity today, [clears throat] every group has some kind of a name.
Either a name of a person, a name of a certain practice, a name of a certain kind of a a doctrine.
But to us when the Lord called out our brother Ni to meet together you know in a small way just to just three people
meeting 100 years ago 1003 years ago in Fucha no name just brothers meeting together
as the church in Fucha we don't care for any name we are just simply the church we are the body of Christ
that was how the Lord's recovery began among us 103 years ago.
We forsook all the other names.
If you ask today's denominations, please put away your name, they will not. This
is their label. This is their, you know, the the the the, you know, their designation.
you you you take that that name away, they became nothing. They won't do that.
And how about keeping the Lord's word?
Brothers and sisters, who [clears throat] referred to the Bible so much as us in the Lord's recovery?
I know some years ago there was this kind of accusation saying that we don't read the Bible. We only read life studies.
You have to read the Bible more. You
just read life study. Somebody else's
somebody somebody's interpretation.
It's all totally is actually a lie.
You read, we attend, many of us, we attended brother Lee's life study training for all those years.
We never knew the [clears throat] Bible so well and we never read so many verses from the Bible as when we're under this ministry.
You look at every outline in the conferences, verse after verse, sometimes a 100 verses in references.
We love the Lord's word.
We treasure his word.
We respect his word to the uttermost.
Everything has been brought back to his word.
So in in some way we are today's we are in that line of the Philadelphia.
But you know there is a danger just like we don't want to repeat the history of the brethren.
They became proud.
They were blessed no doubt but they became proud self-satisfied and [clears throat] they became just
uh just there stuck in their pride and the Lord eventually had to forsake them.
Thank the Lord for his recovery.
Dear brothers and sisters, I my burden this morning not so much about the outline. I want to give you this
outline. I want to give you this picture.
This is where we are in what we are in.
And this is where we are in time before the Lord comes back. He must have his Philadelphia.
>> It is to that church he promised I come quickly. Amen.
quickly. Amen.
>> It is to that church even as the that is the only church that receives his praise among the seven churches.
He loved that church.
That church is of little strength.
We are all nobodies.
We don't have any titles.
We don't have any kind of prominent positions.
We all just brothers.
Even when when brother Lee was among us, he loved to be called just brother Lee.
That's all.
Don't call him apostle. Don't call him apostle. So just call brother Lee.
apostle. So just call brother Lee.
But dear saints, on the one hand, you know, we receive so much,
but we have to really to see the danger of a [clears throat] possibility to become Leodysia.
That would be most disappointing to the Lord Jesus. He raised us up
Lord Jesus. He raised us up using a hundred years plus to raise us up to bring us to this point.
Every time when I think of that, I just have to bow and worship the Lord. Who
are we? Why are we still here? Witnessly
has been gone for 25 years. 28 years, 28 years. Why are we still here? No one of
years. Why are we still here? No one of that kind of a stature is among us.
We are still here not because of certain great men. We are still here because we
great men. We are still here because we are Philadelphia.
>> We are brothers who love one another.
We love one another. We love his name.
We keep his word.
We may be of a we may be a people of of little strength, but the Lord will bring in bring those who oppose us to prostrate
before us.
I believe in these coming days if we are faithful to the Lord to be his Philadelphia many more seeking ones will be turned
will be gained to come this way. I
believe so there is some stirring of the spirit in these days in this last year or so [clears throat] there is a seeking God
is putting into especially many Gen Z in their hearts you read some of I just read some of the stats some of the reports
the increase reading of the Bible increase more than 10% from like 29% to 42% people the young people the interest
in reading the Bible. Brother brother uh Tony Babin, Bible America shared with us just in this uh recently the Bible order
increase nearly threefolds from a year ago, three times the order for Bible for America.
Something is happening.
But dear brothers and sisters, here we are.
We need to still take the constricted way.
>> Don't take the broad way. The way that is easy, the way that is welcoming, the way that is acceptable, accepting by many.
We are taking a constricted way, constricted by the vision of God's economy, restricted by that. It's not
easy sometimes especially when we see how how so many you know denominations seemingly they are they are prospering they are you
know this and that and here we are we are suffering many many uh lonely opposition we are suffering you know many
limitations and uh but we need to know what we are and where we should stand,
>> right?
If we are genuinely Philadelphia, the Lord is with us.
>> The Lord is with us.
>> He will bless.
Well, let me read a little bit here in point B.
Well, point A says under Romans 3, the characteristics of the overcomers in Philadelphia is their brotherly love.
Love prevails among them so that they shepherd people according to God by cherishing them with the cheering presence of God and nourishing them with
the healthy teaching of God's economy.
One characteristic these this church although weak just a little power but they love one another.
This is this is a very crucial matter brothers. We may be nothing but among us this love not only
for the Lord but for one another >> must be prevailing.
This is a church of brotherly love.
We love God.
We love men.
on the way we're talking here too, you know, brother Lee in his uh this word, the word of love that he gave before he he left us that he was concerned. He said the
Lord's recovery because we are lacking of increase, lacking of fruitfulness. He
said the main reason as he detected there is some kind of a spirit of superiority among us that means we are
higher than others. We are better. We
know better.
We know the truth. We use the truth to measure each other.
Dear brothers, if we are if we continue to be like that, surely there will not be the fruitfulness as the Lord will bless.
We may degrade.
We need to have a genuine love for one another.
This love is not from ourselves. This
love must be Christ.
As the development of that seed in second Peter chapter 1, [clears throat] that seed of faith eventually developed into
brotherly love and love, agape love. We
love all men.
This love is prevailing. We even though we we cannot do all that much, but if we love one another, the world will know that we are his disciples.
B says, "The Lord's recovery with Philadelphia is a recovery in quality, a recovery [snorts] of the original substance of the church, the inner substance of God, which is love." To
stand on the genuine ground of oneness, the ground of the church is to choose to love all the brothers. This is what the ground of the church is for. We love all
those even those who are in denominations.
We we don't agree with that with the stand with their ground, but we love the brothers. The Lord's using the key of
brothers. The Lord's using the key of David to open the door for the spread of his recovery is objective to us. But
Christ is also using the key of David to subjectively open the door in our inner being for us to be transformed and built into the house of God as a pillar and
the name of God, the name of the new Jerusalem and the new name of the Lord.
with these uh with the overcomers in uh Philadelphia, the Lord promised that I will write upon them the name of my God,
the name of the city of my God and my new name.
Dear there, dear saints, the Lord's recovery has been brought to the highest peak of the truth where we are see that God became man so that man
may become God in life and nature.
This is not just a just a doctrine, just a piece of teaching.
The Lord is making us God in life and nature, not in his godhead.
If we are genuinely faithful and true to him to be the church in Philadelphia, upon us will be written the name of God.
You are God.
>> Your name is God. Right? When your name is written God, what are you? You must
be God. Right? And also the name of the city of God. You are the new Jerusalem.
We are the new Jerusalem. We are God's ultimate consummation, his enlargement.
We are his city. We are his dwelling place. We don't go to the new Jerusalem.
place. We don't go to the new Jerusalem.
We are the new Jerusalem. and his new name. That means Christ. We have a
name. That means Christ. We have a particular experience of Christ in a new sense.
His new name written upon us.
This is the characteristic of Philadelphia.
The overcomers in in Philadelphia pay more attention to life than to work.
Caring more about quality than quantity.
They have little power with that realization that what pleases the Lord is not they're doing [clears throat] much for him but they're doing their
best for him with what they have.
Saints, we are not proud of our strength, of our power.
We are just we only have a little strength but we can serve him with what we have.
Just do your best with what you have.
This is what Philadelphia is.
The overcomers in Philadelphia keep the Lord's word in his unique way in the unique New Testament ministry which brings them into the genuine appreciation, love, and enjoyment of the
precious person of the Lord Jesus Christ himself as their life and everything.
The overcomers in Philadelphia do not deny the Lord's name. They have
abandoned all names other than that of the Lord Jesus Christ. They call upon the name of the Lord who is rich to all who call upon him. We must be the callers.
>> Call upon him every day. How about we call a couple of times today now. Oh
Lord Jesus.
Oh Lord Jesus.
We call not because of tradition, not because of routine. We call because we love him. Amen.
love him. Amen.
>> We love him. We like to call upon him.
>> We confess Jesus is Lord. He is to the glory of God the Father. We do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord and themselves as believers slaves
for Jesus' sake.
Well, in contrast to Philadelphia, there is Leo deere. If we are not faithful, if we become proud and content, we will
slide into Leodysia.
The Leodysian says uh okay let B says in the eyes of the Lord the characteristics of Leodysia are lukewarmness and spiritual pride.
Spiritual pride become it comes from history.
Some were once rich and they think they are still rich. They still remember their history but they have lost their former life. It is sobering.
former life. It is sobering.
The Lord's recovery has picked up some years now. I said 103 years from the
years now. I said 103 years from the time of what brother kne maybe 20 years ago. Oh, you were so so
vital. You were so you're burning
vital. You were so you're burning and now you're you you're cooled down but you are still reminiscing oh 20
years ago how burning I was how absolute I was how given I was that's history
makes you old we should not look back our God is a God of today >> today Lord I open my heart to you today.
>> Amen.
>> Don't let history to be your frustration to hinder you from going forward.
>> Keep forgetting the things behind. They
remember that they were once wealthy and have become rich and have need of nothing, but now they are poor, blind, wretched naked.
Sobering, sobering word.
I I think I better stop here. I feel
brothers and sisters, you know the you got the picture.
I'm my burden is that all of us on the one hand we appreciate we need to appreciate our heritage.
What the Lord has given us is I would say unprecedented.
I mean we are in we are receiving all the riches of the brethren. We are
standing on their shoulders. I mean,
well, I'm not saying this proudly, not at all. We are so blessed.
at all. We are so blessed.
But yet, anytime you feel you are wealthy, you are rich, you are in need of nothing,
that is a sign you are ready to degrade, you are becoming Leodysia.
The Lord must have his Philadelphia.
[clears throat] We must be those who are poor in spirit, >> pure in heart.
I've been saved now over 60 years and I have to say thank the Lord. It's
by his mercy that I'm still here. I
think many of the senior brothers can say the same thing. It's not because of us. And as we see the day approaching of
us. And as we see the day approaching of the Lord's coming, we are we are fearful and trembling. Lord, as the Lord charged
and trembling. Lord, as the Lord charged to Philadelphia, what? Hold fast what you have. Bless others. Take your crown.
you have. Bless others. Take your crown.
There's no time for the Lord to raise up another group of people.
He is getting what he what he has. But
we have to hold fast. Don't let go.
Don't trade your position with today's what the world can offer to you.
Many young brothers and sisters, I know you're living in a very challenging time. You're with much pressure. You are
time. You're with much pressure. You are
being constrained every day.
Constrained pressed.
But don't take an easy way. Don't take a broad way that will only lead you to destruction.
Take the constricted way that will lead us to life. May the Lord bless all the churches here in the picture sound area.
I think I'm so happy so many of the Canadian saints are also to can join us for this blending.
>> May the Lord bless all the churches here in the northwest >> keeping us in this constricted way.
>> The way that leads to life >> the way that will keep us as his Philadelphia >> the church of brotherly love. Amen.
>> Shall we have just a half a minute of prayer with each other? Just to pray a little bit. I think the brothers can
little bit. I think the brothers can lead us what to do.
