10 Secret Weapons That Could WIN YOUR WEEK 8 MATCHUP!
By Fantasy Endgame
Summary
## Key takeaways - **Xavier Worthy: Upside WR3 Flex vs. Commanders**: Despite Rasheed Rice's return, Xavier Worthy remains the Chiefs' clear number two receiver. He's a good play against the Commanders, who allow significant fantasy points and yards to slot receivers. [00:14], [00:28] - **Romeo Doubs: Solid WR3 Flex vs. Steelers**: With key Packers receivers out, Romeo Doubs is a strong option against a Steelers defense vulnerable to outside and intermediate throws. He has a high target share on intermediate routes and has seen consistent targets recently. [02:05], [02:32] - **Tyler Allgeier: Desperation RB2 Flex vs. Dolphins**: Allgeier is a viable desperation play against the Dolphins, who allow the third most fantasy points to running backs. The Falcons' projected win and zone-heavy scheme further boost his potential, especially given his touchdown history in similar situations. [08:16], [08:43] - **Marvin Mims: Home Run Flex vs. Cowboys**: Marvin Mims offers big-play upside against the Cowboys, who are particularly weak against deep passes. He ranks highly in targets on throws over 20 yards, making him a risky but potentially rewarding flex option. [09:37], [09:41] - **Dalton Schultz: Top 10 TE vs. 49ers (if Kirk/Nico out)**: If both Nico Collins and Christian Kirk are sidelined, Dalton Schultz becomes a must-start tight end. He tied for the team lead in targets last week and faces a 49ers defense that has struggled against tight ends with Fred Warner out. [12:04], [12:14]

You're about to find out the 10 secret
weapons that could win your week eight
matchup. These guys are probably just
sitting on your bench or maybe even on
your league's waiver wires, but they
could absolutely explode this week. So,
let's dive into 10 secret weapons that
could carry your team to victory in week
eight. Let's start with Xavier Worthy.
And sure, with Rasheed Rice back last
week, look, he instantly slotted in as
the number one wide receiver as
expected. But Xavier Worthy still ran
the second most routes of any pass
catcher on the Chiefs. He's still
clearly the number two guy here. And
this week against Commanders, it is a
great matchup for the Chiefs. Right now,
the Commanders are allowing the third
most fantasy points per game to wide
receivers lined up in the slot. They're
also allowing the most yards and the
second most yards per target to wide
receivers lined up in the slot. You look
at it last week with Rasheed Rice back,
we kind of think, oh, Rice more the slot
guy. No, last week it was Worthy who
played 52% of the time in the slot.
Also, you look at at the Commanders,
they play the eighth most single high
and man coverage against those Shells.
This year, he has a 0.32 targets per run
and a 3.48 yards per out run. Those
would rank 14th and 10th among all pass
catchers in 2025. Look, you are
absolutely starting Rashid Rice this
week. No doubt about it. He's a mustart.
But don't sleep on Xavier Worthy as an
upside wide receiver three flex play. I
know it wasn't a big game last week.
people nervous like well there it goes
you know Rashi Rice is going to get all
the targets this is a good spot for
Xavier Worthy this week at home against
his commanders defense I'm taking a shot
on Xavier Worthy for that upside in week
eight and I'll tell you what else I'm
taking a shot on his line on underdog
right now 42 and a half receiving yards
even last week he had 35 I think he can
do this here look you take the higher on
this line and you pair it with this
Jordan Love gimme pick that you're going
to get when you sign up using promo code
endgame for the first time that's an
easy way to get a win right there. But
even if you don't win, as long as you
just play $5 on this pick or any other
picks, Underdog is going to give you
$100 in bonus funds. Not to mention,
when you join using promo code Endgame,
they're going to match your first
deposit 50% up to $1,000 in bonus cash.
Another wide receiver I really like this
week is Romeo Dobs going against this
Steelers defense. Right now, Steelers
allowing the third most fantasy points
to wide receivers lined up on the
outside. Romeo Dobs is taking 92 about
92% of his snaps on the outside. Also,
you look at the actual coverage here.
The Steelers uh rank play the fourth
most man and the second most single
high. Romeo Dobs is fourth among all
Packers pass catchers in fantasy points
per route run against these shells. But
number one, Jaden Reed is out this week
and Dantavan Wixs who's also up there
probably also going to be out this week.
Also, you look at it here. He leads the
Packers in terms of targets that go 10
to 19 yards down the field. Steelers are
allowing the six most fantasy points on
these type of targets. This is a great
way to attack this defense over the
middle in those intermediate throws. And
if that's all not enough, he's got eight
or more targets in three straight games.
So, he's not a guy who's like boom bust.
He gives you a floor. But I think this
week he's got the potential to boom with
the injuries to the Packers, pass
catchers, and in this matchup, I think
Romeo Dobs makes a great upside wide
receiver three flex play for your
fantasy teams. All right, let's hit a
running back real quick, and that is
going to be Chuba Hubard against the
Buffalo Bills. It was very interesting
last week because even though Rico was
better than Chuba Hubard, Chuba Hubard
actually got slightly better usage here.
He played more snaps, only had three
less carries, and ran significantly more
routes than Rico Dow. And remember, this
was coming off an injury. And nothing
Dave Canalis has said this week should
make you think it's not going to be any
different. In fact, it wouldn't even
surprise me, despite the fact that Rico
was better if Chuba got even more
involved this week. Now, I still think
between the two, you have to prefer
Rico. I'm not saying start Chuba Huard
over Rico Dattle because Rico Dattle has
been so good, but this is a great
schematic matchup for Chuba Hubard. You
look at it, 55% of his runs this year
have been zone runs, and the Bills are
allowing the most fantasy points per
game on those zone runs and the highest
yards per carry. The Bills also a
runfunnel defense. This is a defense
very weak against the running here. So,
I think both running backs, Rico Dattle
and Chuba Huard, are in play this week.
Again, I still prefer Rico, but if
you're desperate with six teams on buy,
you might be. I think Chuba Hubard makes
a fine desperation RB2 flex start if you
need them. Before I continue on with the
list, let me just say if you're enjoying

now let's talk about a big play wide
receiver. This guy is definitely going
to be a little more boom bust than say
like Worthy or Romeo Dah. But I'm
talking about Alec Pierce this week
going up against the Tennessee Titans.
Right now the Titans are allowing the
third highest yards per target on throws
of over 20 yards and the 10th most
fantasy points per game on throws of
over 20 yards. Alec Pierce clearly
leading this offense in terms of targets
that go for 20 or more yards. Not to
mention this week the Titans secondary
going to be banged up. Legarius Sneed
arguably their top corner on IR. He's
not going to play this week. The way
this Colts offense has been rolling the
way Daniel Jones has been throwing the
football. I think Alec Pierce makes a
good kind of more of a desperation boom
bus flex cuz you're going to need those
big plays. But we've seen those big
plays from Alec Pierce this year. So
again, with six teams on buy, if you're
desperate this week, Alec Pierce might
just be chilling on your waiver wire
right now. I think you could do much
worse than Alec Pierce this week. He has
that big play upside. He's got touchdown
upside and in this matchup, it could
happen. Now, if you want a wide receiver
a little safer, but also who I think has
good upside this week, I'm going to say
Khil Shakir, who might just be on your
bench. A couple things to really like
about Shakir's matchup this week,
though. First of all, Carolina plays
cover three almost 40% of the time.
Against cover three this year, his yards
per run increases from 1.71 to 2.48. and
his targets per hour run increases from
0.2 to 0.25.
Second, Carolina plays zone at the
fourth highest rate almost 80% of the
time. He leads the Bills in target
percentage versus zone. And when you
look at it versus man coverage, his
target share drops down to just 15%. He
is definitely one of those guys who's
better against zone than man coverage.
Plus, Josh Palmer already been ruled out
here. So, we're going to see a more
condensed target tree here between
Dalton Concincaid, Khalil Shakur, and
Keon Coleman. Certainly, I think Dalton
Concade is a great play this week, and I
would have put him on this video, but
Pierre already put him on the booms
video, but I also think Khil Shakir is
more than solid this week. I think he's
got upside. He gives you a floor. So,
again, if you don't want to risk it with
a more boom bust type like Alec Pierce,
Shakir gives you a floor, but I think
this week he's also going to give you
some upside. Now, back to another more
boom bust kind of wide receiver. But
look, if you're looking for that home
run, maybe you started Jordan Mason,
maybe you started QJ on Thursday night,
you need a home run, take a chance on
Tez Johnson. You look at the Saints
right now, they play the third most
cover three and the fifth most single
high of any defense against this those
Shells this year. He actually leads
Tampa Bay in yards per run and he's
third in fantasy points per route run.
But the guy who's first, Mike Evans, is
not playing this week and not gonna play
for much longer. So sure, Mecha Ibuka,
we already talked about him on the
booms. He's probably gonna go off this
week, but we've seen Tez Johnson now.
He's got potential to score. He's one of
those guys who's got that yard after
catch potential. So, he doesn't need
extreme volume to have a big game here.
Yes, he's risky cuz it could just be the
Amecha Ibuka show. They could just be
running it with Rashad White cuz they're
winning the game pretty easily. But I
think in this Tampa Bay offense, the way
Baker Mayfield is playing, you got to
take a chance on the upside here of Ted
Johnson this week. Again, he's a little
more risky than say like Shakir or Romeo
Dobs, but he's got the upside. So, if
you need that, especially with buys or
if you got rocked by some bad Thursday
night football starts, take a chance on
Tez Johnson in week eight. And now, if
you're really desperate at running back,
you need a RB2 with some potential
upside this week and there is not a lot
out there and you don't really have
anybody on your bench, I'll bet Tyler
Algier might still be on your waiver
wire. And I think he's a pretty good
start this week. You look at it in the
three games where the Falcons have won
by a touchdown or more. He's got 16
carries in two of those games and 10 in
the other. But he scored a touchdown in
all three of those games. This week, the
Falcons are 7 and 12 point home
favorites against the Dolphins. And oh
yeah, that's the other reason to like
Tyler Algier. They get the Dolphins who
are right now allowing the third most
fantasy points to running backs. Not to
mention the Falcons heavily utilize a
zone rushing scheme for both Bejon and
Tyler Algier. You look at the Dolphins
right now, they're allow allowing the
second highest yards per carry on zone
runs only behind the Buffalo Bills.
Look, obviously Bejan Robinson is going
to feast. It's probably going to be him
or Jonathan Taylor battling for the best
running back this week. But if you don't
have Bejon or Jonathan Taylor, you need
to dig a little deeper. Don't ignore
Tyler Algier in this matchup. The
Falcons should comfortably win this game
at home against the Dolphins, which
means plenty of Tyler Algier. And
against this Dolphins run defense, he
certainly's got a chance to find the end
zone. Now, another boom bus type wide
receiver that I really like this week is
Marvin Mims of the Denver Broncos going
against that Cowboys defense at home
this week. You look at it, the Cowboys
allow the most receptions, yards, touch,
and touchdowns on throws over 20 yards.
And they're allowing an almost
unbelievable 16 fantasy points per game
just on throws that travel 20 yards or
more. This year, Marvin Mims ranks ninth
among all wide receivers in throws of
over 20 yards, and he has 42% of the
Broncos targets on throws of over 20
yards. I think this is a great week to
fire up Marvin Mims. And I promise you,
unless you're in extremely deep leagues,
he's probably just sitting on your
waiver wire. So, if you've got guys that
you do not feel good about or you've
just been decimated by injury and buys,
go see if Marvin Mims is sitting on your
waiver wire. If you need a home run, if
you need upside, he's got it this week.
Yes, he is risky, but he's also got the
upside you could be looking for as a
desperation flex. I'm going to end with
a couple of Houston Texans. Let's start
with rookie wide receiver Jaylen Nowell.
last week with Christian Kirk out. He
had four catches for 77 yards on seven
targets while playing as the team's
primary slot wide receiver. You look at
it, the 49ers, the matchup this week,
they're allowing the six most points to
slot wide receivers, 14.7 PPR points per
game. But you look at over the last two
games with Fred Warner out, remember
Fred Warner, one of the best cover
linebackers, maybe the best cover
linebacker in the entire NFL, that
number has jumped up to 18.2 points per
game. game and they've allowed seven
catches for 174 yards and two touchdowns
on 11 targets over the last two games
just to slot wide receivers. Now, a lot
of people are going to say, you know, if
Nico's out, and it's looking like both
Nico and Christian Kirk are going to be
out at the time I'm filming this. They
have not practiced this week. They have
not officially been ruled out, but it's
looking like both are out. A lot of
people are going to say, "Oh, if Nico's
out, you got to start Jaden Higgins." I
don't know if you do. Xavier Hutchinson
has actually been the guy running ahead
of Jaden Higgins. And even last week in
the fourth quarter with Nico out, Xavier
Hutchinson had four targets. Jaden
Higgins only two. I think Jaden Higgins
is okay. But I feel better about Jaylen
Noel's role as a slot wide receiver. And
in this matchup against the 49ers who
have struggled against the slot, he's
the guy I want. Is definitely looking
doubtful for Christian Kirk. Probably
Nico, too. I think Jaylen Nowell makes a
very good flex option for your fantasy
team. But the guy I probably prefer the
most is tight end Dalton Schultz. Look,
if both Nico and Kirk miss, Schultz is
borderline a must-start tight end this
week. You look at it last week, even
with Nico playing most of that game, he
tied for the team lead in targets, but
led the team in fantasy points per route
run. And last week with Warner out,
again, talking about the 49ers defense,
Kyle Pittz had a very nice seven catch
62 yard game on 10 targets. Again, Fred
Warner is arguably the best cover
linebacker in the entire NFL. This is a
big hole for the 49ers. We're going to
see Dalton Schultz get involved in this
offense. Again, if both Nico and Kirk
are out, which is very likely, again,
the time I'm recording, I don't know. By
the time it goes out in the morning, you
guys might know. If they're both out, I
think Schultz has to be at least a top
10, maybe even a top five tight end this
week in your PPR leagues. But I like
both him and Jaylen Noel this week. So
again, these guys might just be sitting
on your waiver wire right now. Go see if
they're out there. If you don't like the
tight end you have or again, you're
desperate for that flex play. These guys
might be out there for you. They've got
upside. And once again, if you're
