what if I told you that I struggle with insecurities and hating on myself daily and I could tell you what you're gonna say you're gonna be like no you're so pretty oh my God if I look like you I would never complain again like all of
my problems would be solved you know why I know that because I say the exact same thing when I compare myself to other girls the trend of glowing up to you know fit Society standards has been around
forever and I can't lie I've fallen victim to it multiple times but now that it's so normalized people are willing to just go and spend thousands of dollars on nails hair extensions clothes everything facetune premium I know about
y'all but trying to keep up with these beauty standards have been pretty exhausting and I can't keep doing it at the end of every week like every Sunday I would psychotically try to Glow myself up like I would pluck my eyebrows I
would dye my eyebrows I would whiten my teeth I would do squats I would shave my whole body and it would make me feel good in the moment like on the Monday I would be like oh yes let's do it I'm ready for the week but then by the
Tuesday I'm like why am I not fulfilled and why isn't nobody else noticing that I glue out and that's because I thought that I was doing self-care but I was just trying to fit into the beauty standards at some point the question
came up am I trying to look better or feel better and I'm not trying to sound corny when I say that if you've ever tried to glue up before you've probably realized that your results don't last or the positive feeling that comes with it
doesn't last and I have the answer to that it's literally because you're only focusing on the physical you can spend thousands of dollars trying to enhance or even change your appearance but if you're not focusing on the mental aspect you're either going to get caught in a
never-ending Loop of trying to fit into the beauty standards or you're going to get burnt out and then ask yourself why am I not like other girls as much as I try but bestie once you realize that a true glow up is focusing on both your
physical and mental health you're gonna accidentally step into the best version of yourself but at the same time you have to make that choice and put in the work to see results and I'm gonna show you exactly how to do that I'm going to show you guys 15 ways that you could
glow up physically and mentally I'm sure we can all agree that social media's definition of a glow up is to improve your physical appearance and look more attractive my personal definition of a glow up is taking care of ourselves
physically and mentally so we can slowly become the highest versions of ourselves and most of you right now are probably like well the mental aspect can like wait for another time because I just want to look good now as a result of my
mental health fluctuating and constantly being stressed like every day like literally chronic stress for no reason over the years has caused a lot of physical changes in me and I didn't see the physical changes right away
obviously and there's your proof I am your proof that you need to work on the mental aspect not just the physical because in the end you're not actually going to glow up like you want to it's like not humanly possible to have
permanent change happen in one day so living a healthy lifestyle and working on yourself mentally for a long period of time guarantees the physical glow up to come after I like to call working on your physical aspect self-care because
that's what it should be and also if you look good you feel good it's actually a proven fact that when somebody's confident in their appearance it instantly affects their motivation their happiness and their productivity and
ever since I started romanticizing my like physical glow ups into self-care I feel way more fulfilled if you're like me and you struggle with self-love and being kind to yourself This is saying I love you to yourself without saying it
this is for the basic that are only here right now to see what I do to get clear skin but number one invest in your skincare and hair care I used to have a really bad spending issue like I wouldn't even look at stuff before I bought it so make
sure you're getting quality products that you're doing your research on looking at the ingredients looking at their benefits looking how it's going to help your skin that way you could physically Target what issues are wrong with your skin like if you have blackheads but you're going to Target
your acne it's not going to clear your blackheads and then hair oils and hair masks because healthy hair equals happy girl I'm literally only investing in one you just need one good hair oil and hair
mask to help your hair grow and keep it healthy I've been using hair masks forever and I love them because they keep my hair moisturized even though it's kind of dead it's still moisturized something that I learned is that you can't have just one concentrated oil and
if you're using really heavy oils like castor oil then make sure you're using a clarifying shampoo you can get all the build up off and honestly it's just sort of oiling my hair before because my hairline is crazy I literally give McDonald's a
free promo every time my hair is up number two is working out daily I don't mean you have to like weight lift and do squats every day by working out I mean literally going on a walk outside but make sure you do some like weight lifting during the week too so not only
is it gonna leave you feeling good for the rest of the day but girl your body is going to be banging it also helps with laziness so the hardest step is really the first step number three is to establish a solid morning and night
routine and by that I don't mean like wake up at 5am go to Pilates get a matcha and honestly it does sound kind of nice but I don't have the brain cells to do that or wake up that early
because I would shy away from a morning and a night routine because I didn't have like a perfectly established routine with like perfect everything like your morning routine could be a shower and a lemon water and your night routine could be skincare and a green
tea these literally Prime you you don't like primers for makeup well a morning and a night routine is a primer for your life morning routines help you get going help you get fueled for the day help your mindset for the day and then night
routines help you unwind help you calm down and you don't have to follow it to a tea every day some mornings I literally don't do anything except have a coffee and like do my gratitude next up eating Whole Foods that fuel you and
drinking two to three liters of water every day and I don't mean like go on a keto diet I mean substituting foods that are literally killing you over time for better foods that fuel you like if your first instinct for a snack is to go eat
chips substitute it with crackers and hummus if you're going to go eat candy for a snack go have strawberries cover it in chocolate if you want but you'll feel it throughout the day if you're eating foods that aren't fueling you you're gonna feel like you're gonna be
you're probably gonna be grumpy and then drinking two to three liters of water a day not only is it gonna clear up your skin but it's gonna help you with fatigue it's going to give you energy and it cleans out toxins from your body like drinking two liters of water a day
has so many benefits I can't even name all of them oh it also helps boost your metabolism and that point was for the basic too I'm sorry you guys had to sit through that I know that you know you just have to put it into place next
is getting yourself ready even if you're staying home whenever I wear a cute outfit that I feel confident in it literally boosts my whole day I feel so much more productive I'm so much more motivated I get so much more done in general and like putting on makeup you
don't have to put on makeup like every time you're home because who likes doing that plus it's expensive learn how to emphasize your natural features with makeup so literally do your research on your face shape and then finding where
the Shadows on your face sit like when I look down mine are here and then here you see that so I Contour right there and that literally goes with everything like blush placement eyeliner once you learn what looks good and what doesn't
with your face your makeup game fully changes and then that results in an immediate glow up next is to get at least eight hours of sleep every night when you're constantly getting less than eight hours of sleep you actually look tired and you don't realize it like I
promise you if you're one of those people that sleeps less than eight hours a night like every night and you have really bad eye bags try sleeping like eight or nine hours a night for a week straight I'm sure your eye bags will
just cure themselves unless you have genetic eye bags then I can't help you there also your skin dulls out so much when you're not getting eight hours of sleep and you won't realize that either because it's constant of it happening
also just for the bonus try not to sleep on your side because I've always slept on my right side my whole life and I'm sure you can't tell right now but when my face is inverted
wow I wow it's not it's not good so if you want an even face try sleeping on your back last step for physical is working on your posture I'm literally adding this one in because my posture
lately has been so bad when you start fixing your posture in private then it's going to start automatically fixing in public whenever someone has good posture they actually radiate confidence like it radiates from them you can see it in
their Aura so these are for all my Hunchback of Notre Dame girls I'm with you finally the part everybody's been waiting for we're moving on to the mental aspect which I like to call self-love because when you truly start
to love yourself that pours into every single aspect of your life first up is creating a mood board and specifically writing out your goals like when I say specific I mean your daily goals your
weekly goals your monthly goals your yearly goals and your decade goals and that's because when you don't have goals it's like what are you really living for like what is your purpose and that's because we all need direction
um if not we're going to be clustered like what do I do next there's so much I don't know what to do or there's literally nothing like like what am I doing with my life so we need direction and nobody's gonna set that up for us we have to set it up for ourselves and you
not only have to write out your goals you should write out how you're planning to achieve them and I actually do very much recommend creating a mood board because that lets you visualize your goals and actually see it and have something to constantly look at that's
going to motivate you and inspire you also if you're constantly looking at pictures and like a whole thing of your dream life and what you want it's gonna accidentally manifest itself I want to see your mood board could literally just
be on Pinterest like you don't even have to like DIY and make it you just have to make sure you're constantly looking at it next is to learn new things whether it be reading self-help books books that you're interested in and just want to
learn stuff about literally educational YouTube videos that you find interesting or stuff that could actually help you in your day today basically learn skills that are going to advance you or stuff that you enjoy like if you enjoy languages learn a new language if you're
trying to be an influencer watch influencer videos on how to start up and build up your platform if you want to learn how to draw for fun search up a YouTube video on how to draw for beginners and that's not only to keep your brain moving and healthy and
functioning but it's either going to advance you or make you feel good try to meditate daily I say this literally all the time on especially my YouTube channel and then I always get a couple comments saying well I tried meditating
but I like it didn't work because I was overthinking and that is totally okay it's totally normal actually meditating is learning how to just observe your thoughts without reacting to them if you
have an emotion come up that is totally fine but it's your reaction that matters and over time with constant meditation you literally view every single situation in life in such a calm and collected matter I really should
meditate every day and I don't I fall victim to that but meditation every day literally changes you as a person so you just observe your thoughts feel your emotions but control your reactions and
meditation helps you master that this one's so important if not the most important and it's to protect your energy by protecting your energy I mean not doing things that drain you like limiting your social media time because
social media drains you without you even realizing like you probably scroll through Tick Tock just for fun to go on your for you page and look at the fun videos whatever and then you're unknowingly comparing yourself to literally everyone you come across so I'm not gonna tell you to like delete
all your social medias because you know then you couldn't watch this video I'm kidding but it's really not realistic to just get rid of all your social medias but it's realistic to limit it but something you can get rid of is people
who dream you you don't just limit that you fully get rid of that and sometimes it's the people closest to you that are draining you and you're not even realizing it but then when you go home from like hanging out with them you feel
so tired and exhausted and if you can't cut off with people who are draining you make sure you set realistic boundaries with them for my fellow perfectionists out there it also means not trying to
perfect everything not everything is going to be perfect and you trying to make everything perfect is just absolutely draining the life out of you taking time to do things that ground you are also something that protects your
energy subconsciously it means that in these stressful situations you can control your emotions your thoughts your reactions literally all of the above and it takes so much work to be grounded all
the time like I wish I could be grounded all the time there's so many ways to keep yourself grounded like practicing your hobbies is a huge part of it like for me when I paint I am so grounded I'm
so calm I'm so collected if anything were to happen in that moment I'm fine Nothing's Gonna affect me it may actually be because I watch Bob Ross's tutorials as I paint and his voice really calms me down he just does it
being grounded literally means knowing who you are being confident in who you are mentally physically like it's literally the goal of Life some ways I like to ground myself in my day today are to take
really deep breaths for like literally three minutes straight when I start to do it I don't really feel anything but at the end of those three minutes it's like everything changed also listen to
uplifting music with happy vibration for me nature is really something that grounds me I think in a past life I lived in a forest or something and doing other soothing things like it could be a
face mask it could be a bubble bath that all grounds you next is to identify your bad habits and try new things the key to actually glowing up is figuring out where you went wrong fixing it and then
going out of your comfort zone to try new things because yeah you can easily find out where you've been going wrong and getting rid of it but if you're not getting out of your comfort zone to try new things you're not gonna have much change out of this and if I'm being
totally honest you have to step out of your comfort zone first to even get rid of those bad habits because you can't just get rid of a bad habit you have to create a plan which would be changing it getting out of your comfort zone blah
blah and making small changes to achieve that so it's all one big confusing Loop you just have to take step one that's it doing self-love affirmations are an actual game changer especially if you're
bad at practicing self-love and overall just being proud and confident in who you are gives you so much power in every different aspect of your life if you don't believe me self-love actually does so many things like reducing Stress and
Anxiety boosting your confidence boosting your motivation overcoming your fears your self-love actually translates into your relationships with others and how healthy they are because you know the saying if you don't love yourself
how's someone else going to so for me whenever I see a self-love affirmation that resonates with me I put it in my notes and every night before I go to sleep I read out my long list of self-love affirmations but girl
affirmations are only going to take you so far if you're only doing affirmations they're not gonna work simple as that last but not least is to take baby steps me personally I have to take it day by
day because then I look at my week and then my month and then I stress out and feel overwhelmed I literally have to be like what am I doing today I'll worry about tomorrow tomorrow what do I have to do right now so literally living in
the present moment so what is happening right now what can I be thankful for right now what do I have to accomplish and do right now and not looking back at the past either like oh they did me so dirty no
no and a part of taking the baby steps is treating yourself when you accomplish something to better yourself mentally or physically or even do something productive during the day and it makes you feel fulfilled treat yourself because when you treat yourself doing things that you're trying to make a
habit of you subconsciously want to do those things because you're getting treated for it so yeah those are all the mental aspects I feel like I definitely miss two or five or a hundred but more lately now than ever I have been working
on the mental aspect and I'm starting to see more long-term results trust me doing all of these things will give you a permanent glow up because you're going to trick yourself into stepping into the highest best version of yourself and
she's confident she's thankful she's positive she radiates Beauty and she radiates good energy and that's why the key to all of this working is consistency I've always known to add the mental aspect I've always known it
except I would add it and then not be consistent with it so I would never see results or at least I would see temporary results that wouldn't last more than like two days like I know all of this very well and I've been knowing
it but I still struggle daily because it's the process anyway I'm really sorry about all that boring stuff let's go pluck our eyebrows what in our teeth well we're getting our nails done too I'm so excited
you really thought you really thought you know what I have another video just just go watch that one just go watch that one I'm kidding I just really hope what I said resonated with you guys and I hope it helps we're gonna become the
best versions of ourselves together at the same time we're both gonna pop off at the same time and honestly I'm really excited for us I really hope you guys did enjoy this video if you have any
other ideas or methods or stuff comment it down below it may be able to help me or anybody else out there make sure you give this video a thumbs up click the Bell to get notified every time I post
