Live Human vs AI Editing Challenge, YOU Decide the Winner!
By OpusClip
Summary
## Key takeaways - **AI Can't Replace Human Creativity**: AI can never replace creativity, but tools like Agent Opus augment workflows to expedite visions and make them come to life faster. The goal is benchmarking AI against pro editors to show how it helps rather than replaces. [05:37], [07:26] - **Good, Fast, Cheap: Pick Two**: AI tries to be good, fast, and cheap simultaneously, but the golden rule is you can only pick two. It will likely be fast and cheap but not good. [19:07], [19:18] - **AI Outputs Trigger Instant Rejection**: AI videos give an immediate 'AI feeling' like greasy skin, causing viewers to scroll away instantly due to detectable artificiality in movement and quality. [48:42], [49:07] - **Misinformation Snake Eating Tail**: Unfactchecked AI hallucinations spread misinformation; future AIs will train on other wrong AI outputs, creating a dangerous cycle where the internet fills with fabricated 'facts' taken as history. [36:50], [37:42] - **Humans Crush AI in Live Challenge**: In the 60-second video contest under one hour, human editors scored 45 points versus Agent Opus's 12 across technical quality, creativity, and storytelling, proving human edge even under pressure. Wow. Are we Are we live? Are we in this?
Let's go. What is going on everybody?
Welcome to the human versus AI editing showdown. This is going to be such an
showdown. This is going to be such an exciting event. We want to say first and
exciting event. We want to say first and foremost, thank you guys so much for joining us here today. I know we have I was looking through the public chat. We
have people from all over the world. So,
we thank you guys so much for being here with us. I'm going to be your host. My
with us. I'm going to be your host. My
name is Suchin. I'm actually from the OpusClip team. Uh, and here, look, at
OpusClip team. Uh, and here, look, at OpusClip, we're all about creating some of the best AI tech that we can for creators and businesses so that they can actually help make their visions come to
life faster and more efficiently. So, we
wanted to use this opportunity to put our newest tool, Agent Opus, to the test against not only real pro- editors, but also against other AI tools. So, we're
really going to be walking the walk today and putting our putting our tools to the test and seeing really what happens here. Um, and Agent Opus, for
happens here. Um, and Agent Opus, for context, is the first ever video agent made for social media. Whether you're a creator or a thought leader or storyteller who just doesn't like to
edit or maybe doesn't doesn't have the time to edit, Agent Opus can actually turn your scripts, your blogs, your news articles into polished videos that can actually help grow your audience and
business. Um, you guys will see
business. Um, you guys will see momentarily really the capabilities of what Agent Opus can do. And I'm really excited to show it to you guys. Um, and
you guys will actually have the opportunity to cast your vote live on who you think will win the contest, whether it's going to be human, whether it's AI. There'll be a QR code on the
it's AI. There'll be a QR code on the top right hand side um that I'm not sure where it it'll pop up every now and then. Uh so make sure you Oh, there it
then. Uh so make sure you Oh, there it is right there. Make sure you scan that QR code and cast your vote because we're going to keep giving away a ton of Agent Opus credits uh throughout the duration
of this webinar. But actually at the end of the webinar, one lucky voter will walk away with $5,000 in cold hard cash.
Guys, the holidays are coming up. Why
not have $5,000 cash in your pocket for the holidays? Um, we're super pumped,
the holidays? Um, we're super pumped, guys, to have you guys here. as
mentioned. Um, we do want to mention though that, you know, we're not here to necessarily show you that AI is going to replace human creators or editors because AI can really never replace
creativity, but rather we more so just want to benchmark our tool against some of these pro editors and other AI tools to show you how AI like tools like Agent Opus can actually help augment your workflow and and really make you
expedite uh your workflow and and make your visions come to life. So, with that being said, uh we want to get into the challenge. So, let's get into meeting
challenge. So, let's get into meeting some of our contestants and judges. I'm
sure you see a lot of familiar faces here today. A lot of wonderful people
here today. A lot of wonderful people here. Um we want to start off with
here. Um we want to start off with introducing some of the AI creators first and then we'll get into some of the human editors after. Uh so, starting
with creator number one. This creator,
okay, is one of the largest educators on the subject of AI, reaching millions of people every single week on LinkedIn and on his newsletter. Some of his favorite tools that he uses right now are
MidJourney and Chat GBT. Ladies and
gentlemen, it is Ruben Hid. Reuben, how
are we feeling today, man?
>> Excited. So excited, man.
>> As I said, I feel like team AI has nothing to lose and team editors has everything to lose. But I mean in reality I just like you said this is not not really a competition. I want to see
how good AI is today. You said I love Mjourney. I remember using Mjourney V2
Mjourney. I remember using Mjourney V2 and that was just mushy and just like almost like memes to be honest and now when you compare it to Mjourney today it's very different tool. So I'm so
excited to push Asian office to the limit.
>> Wow Ruben you sound a little cocky there man. Sounds like
man. Sounds like >> look it's not me. It's not even my work, you know. I'm just prompting and then we
you know. I'm just prompting and then we see how it goes.
>> Okay. All right. All right. [laughter]
You're already hitting every stereotype that I have that I have about AI pro [laughter] people.
>> Here we go.
>> It's adorable to see.
>> Oh, man. I love it. I love it. Well,
yeah, Ruben, we're gonna see what happens, man. We're going to see what
happens, man. We're going to see what you come up with. It's going to be really exciting. Uh getting into our
really exciting. Uh getting into our next AI creator, guys. This creator is actually based in the Netherlands and makes tech and AI tutorials focused on creative work, side hustles, content
creation, and he specializes in new AI tools and innovation. And guys, I was very fortunate enough to see him dance at VidSummit and he is quite stallion on the dance floor. Guys, let's meet [laughter]
Dan Keeft. Dan, how are you, man?
Dan Keeft. Dan, how are you, man?
>> What an introduction, Simon. Thank you
so much for that. And Reuben, I I I have trust in our ability to use those AI tools to to our advantage. like we got nothing to lose and we got everything to
win from seeing like how good this technology has become. So very excited for that.
>> If you guys win, will you bust a dance move on the live stream?
>> Have to o you got to pay right now.
[laughter] >> You got to pay a good amount of money for that.
>> $5,000 is on the line. We need We need to The humans need something here to look forward to, man.
>> I see. I see. I will. I might. I might.
I can't promise anything.
Come on. I just got it. I know you got it.
>> If if they stay watching the whole live stream, then I might.
>> Oh, okay. All right,
>> guys. You You heard it here first. Don't
leave the live stream. Stay on and we'll see some pretty interesting dancers from D. [laughter]
D. [laughter] >> Great retention. Great retention tactic right there.
>> Awesome. Let's get into some of our human creators and editors. Guys, this
creator, all right, is a channel consultant who helped content creators improve their videos and grow their YouTube channels. He's actually a former
YouTube channels. He's actually a former professional musician, which is super super awesome, and became a successful online entrepreneur known for breaking down videos and editing and YouTube growth strategies. He also has
growth strategies. He also has incredible hair. It is none other than
incredible hair. It is none other than Daniel Batal.
[laughter] >> Uh, can you hear me? All right. I got to see if the audio is working today.
>> Got a little bit of a static. Um,
>> yeah, I you're gonna have to work with me >> knowing over there.
>> Yeah, we've got we've got a little bit of noise. Got some equipment issues, but
of noise. Got some equipment issues, but it >> is all good, man.
>> Thanks for putting up for with me today.
I'll do my best to hang in here.
>> You're a-ok. Okay, Daniel. How are you feeling, man? Do you think you got it?
feeling, man? Do you think you got it?
Do you think you're going to take over this AI stuff or what?
>> I got to be honest with you. I'm kind of nervous. I'm I I You can see when you
nervous. I'm I I You can see when you start the show with equipment problems, that is not a good way to come out of the gate. So, we'll see what happens.
the gate. So, we'll see what happens.
>> Daniel is so talented. That's his way of psyching out the competition.
>> Exactly. Men who can work under pressure.
>> Nothing but strategy.
>> Nothing but strategy. Trying to get in their heads. I see. I see.
their heads. I see. I see.
>> That's right. It goes to show you having video problems. >> Yeah.
>> Well, you can't rely on technology. So,
you know, maybe something will happen with the AI tech. You never know.
>> Oh, man. Never know. Never know.
[laughter] >> That's the real message here.
>> Honestly, you guys haven't got anything to worry about. It's just like, look, these guys are already coming in with this massive overconfidence, and it's just going to be very hilarious for them to realize the the genuine proper
limitations of AI.
That's right. Never know. We'll see what happens there, Aiden. We'll see what happens. Uh, getting into our last
happens. Uh, getting into our last contestant for our human creators. This
creator is a generative AI creator, an educator, and a consultant with over 1 million followers across platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube. He
actually helps creators and brands master AI and editing tools through tutorials, workflows, and strategies.
Let's welcome Sebastian Jeff. Sebastian,
how are we feeling today, man?
>> Hello. Hello. Um, yeah, I'm feeling good. I think the main thing is probably
good. I think the main thing is probably the 60 minute timer, especially that we have to film our own content. Um, and
I'm very scared of Hayden risking my video. Um, but other than that, all
video. Um, but other than that, all good, man. [laughter]
good, man. [laughter] [gasps] >> Sebastian came in hot talking smack in the beginning. So, I [laughter] think Do
the beginning. So, I [laughter] think Do you think humans are going to take it or what? Um, I would I'd like to hope so,
what? Um, I would I'd like to hope so, but you know, I've told myself I'm not going to use any AI tools, even though that's what I teach. Um, so we're going to do the traditional route of editing,
and hopefully Premier Pro doesn't crash, but we'll see.
>> All right. Well, we'll see what happens here. Um,
here. Um, Sebastian's right. Even though I am team
Sebastian's right. Even though I am team human, I'm still going to give brutal feedback no matter what I see. But but
and so so so it is unbiased and so no matter what I'm going to be absolutely roasting everything that I see here because again like that's just what I do. I just like people love me bullying
do. I just like people love me bullying people and so like why are you enabling this behavior? This is terrible.
this behavior? This is terrible.
[laughter] >> We love to see it, Hayden. We love to see it.
>> Have I told you how pretty you look, Hayden?
>> Hey, you can't be using my text.
>> All right, Agent Opus wins. All right,
good night, guys. There it is. Live
stream done. Oh man. Well, let's
speaking of Hayden, let's get into some of our judges and meet them. Okay, we'll
start with this creator who's actually one of the few creators to actually work both at YouTube and at Instagram where he helped some of the world's biggest creators grow before becoming a
full-time creator himself with over 800,000 followers and 300 million views.
He interviews icons like Mr. Beast using business expertise. Guys, it is none
business expertise. Guys, it is none other than John. John, what's happening, baby?
>> What's up, guys? What's up? I'm so
excited to be here. I just want to put out my bias right away. I am a human. I
am a human. I just wanna [laughter] I know this is human versus AI editing, but uh I'm excited to be here and uh let's rock and roll.
>> Right on, man. Do you Who do you think takes the cake today, man? Are you Are you >> You know, Sashan, that's a very uh dangerous question, man. I cannot say my bias. All I I'm gonna say is that I may
bias. All I I'm gonna say is that I may just roast you even harder than Hayden.
I'm just saying that, [laughter] you know, Hayden may have, you know, the whole British Simon Cowell thing going, but uh I I've I've been known to, you know, not sugarcoat when it comes to
seeing your stuff. So, bring your agame today. That's all I got to say.
today. That's all I got to say.
>> I hope your shivers are timbered.
[laughter] Timbers are shiver. All right, guys. Our
next judge, this person is actually an award-winning creator and an expert video editor who has empowered over 550,000 creatives with practical storydriven
editing education. With 15 years of
editing education. With 15 years of experience and advanced mastery of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and full post-production workflows, she teaches creators how to edit with clarity,
speed, and style. It is none other than Kelsey aka Premiier Gal. Kelsey, how are we feeling today?
Oh my goodness. I So, what's interesting is I kind of have a hybrid approach because I find that, you know, as humans, we use some of these AI efficiency tools to like speed up our
edit with like captions and other things that I use all the time to just like help, you know, enhance the audio. So,
I'm curious here, and I don't know if we've talked about it yet, but you know, Sebastian mentioned he's not using any AI tools, but are we allowed to use like [clears throat] enhanced tools? Like
Premiere Pro has that in there. It
technically is an AI technology, right?
>> So, I'm just curious, you know, what are the limits here? But also, like, >> as a creator myself, I use a lot of these tools in my daily workflow in Premiere Pro. Um, so you know, I'm
Premiere Pro. Um, so you know, I'm really curious to see what both parties create from technically perspective and then going on the side of roasting from
like do I connect, right? Do I connect with what's being made? So, I'm really curious what's what's going to unfold.
Excited to be here.
>> Super exciting. And yeah, we'll get into the rules like very very soon, but yes, technically everyone can use certain AI tools, but not all AI tools. and we'll
get into the nitty-gritty of that very shortly. Um, getting into our last judge
shortly. Um, getting into our last judge who you guys have heard throughout this entire live stream. This guy comes with 20 years of experience and more than 7 billion views on videos that he has
edited. He's actually he's an industry
edited. He's actually he's an industry leader who helped shape the editing language of modern web media. Known for
crafting emotionally resonant stories, he creates videos that leave viewers with a unique and profound experience.
Guys, it is none other than Hayden Hillier Smith. Hayden, I feel like I
Hillier Smith. Hayden, I feel like I know the answer to this, but where are we leaning today? [laughter]
So yeah, I I obviously very much am team human because I think trying to make trying to convince audiences to care to make them care is a deeply human uh way
of thinking to understand emotionality in that in that deep human level and very much like again as as I'm transparent I've been you I do use AI tools in some of my workflows but the
golden rule that I've kind of fallen into is that all of the AI tools that I use are a supporting tool like an edit assistant to me rather than it being an
output such it is things like like like masking and and also enhancing enhancing the audio and making stems and whatnot but and then even I have dabbled
with using midjourney and runway and all these other things be making these graphics and like the hot the hot take that I'm definitely going to throw in here right now is uh well it's like I
looked back at that video I looked back at that video and it's just like oh this terrible. Um, so it's like I said, I
terrible. Um, so it's like I said, I finally kind of found like where the benefits of AI can be.
>> And what I found is that AI is trying to be what is actually the go like the free tier test. And I have it on my shirt
tier test. And I have it on my shirt right here, which is you're trying to be good, fast, and cheap. But the golden rule is you cannot have all three. You
can only pick two.
So, if they are in theory trying to trying to have all three, I don't think that is possible. People have trying to figure this out the entire time. So, and
I highly doubt it. It is just going to be fast and cheap, but I don't think it's going to be good.
Well, we'll see what happens today, Hayden. Maybe your mind has changed.
Hayden. Maybe your mind has changed.
We'll see. Uh, without further ado, guys, I say let's get right into the contest. Um, we can put up the slide
contest. Um, we can put up the slide deck and talk a little bit more about what exactly the contest is, exact specifications for it. Um, and get into
it, guys. Uh, we will be putting Agent
it, guys. Uh, we will be putting Agent Opus through two different showdowns, okay? Agent Opus against human editors
okay? Agent Opus against human editors and then Agent Opus against other AI tools to see how it stacks up against both categories. Now, the challenge here
both categories. Now, the challenge here is to create a 60-second video in an hour based on the assigned topic. Now,
within the first showdown, Agent Opus versus human editors, there will be two pairs consisting of one AI creator using Agent Opus and one human editor using
their own editing software. As you can see here, for pair number one, we will have AI creator Ruben Hed going toe-to-toe with human creator Sebastian
Jeff. And for pair number two, we will
Jeff. And for pair number two, we will have AI creator Dan Keith going toe-to-toe with human creator Daniel Batal. Battle of the dance. Whoever
Batal. Battle of the dance. Whoever
loses loses their name. I'm just
kidding. To keep it fair, we actually gave the human editor the brief 7 days in advance. So, they were able to gather
in advance. So, they were able to gather certain like um B-roll and scripting in advance. Um but the rules for this
advance. Um but the rules for this entire contest are pretty simple. For
example, for human editors, what we're going to be doing is they are actually allowed to use editing tools that they normally rely on for editing. And and as Kelsey was talking about earlier, they
are actually allowed to use certain AI tools, but they cannot use tools that generate the entire video for them. Um
the next uh for team agent opus, they have to use agent opus. Uh and they can use AI tools as well, but they're not allowed to use again other AI tools that
generate the entire video for them. Um,
now for human editors like mentioned, they were able to actually prep their scripts and B-roll in advance, but all the A-roll motion graphics and actual physical editing that will be done live
in real time. So, you guys will see this happen in real time right now. Um, so
that is all for battle number one. Now,
for battle number two, our team member Rebecca will be putting Agent Opus against three other AI tools using the same two topics. and they she'll be
going head-to-head with Nvidia, Hey Jen, and Mirage to see how Agent Opus stacks up against some of these other guys.
Now, let's get into how this will all be judged. All right, this is this is where
judged. All right, this is this is where the magic really happens. All right,
it'll be judged on three different buckets. The first bucket being
buckets. The first bucket being technical quality. Now, this is things
technical quality. Now, this is things like audio mixing, jump cuts, smooth integrations, things of that nature. The
second bucket will be creativity things like originality of the concept and then more like uniqueness of the idea and things of like things like that. The
last bucket will be storytelling essentially uh clarity and cohesion of the narrative uh narrative story arc and flow. Now each bucket will be scored one
flow. Now each bucket will be scored one through 10. One being the worst thing on
through 10. One being the worst thing on the internet and 10 being the amazing the best thing they've ever seen in their life for a total score of 30 points. All right, does that make sense
points. All right, does that make sense to everybody? Thumbs up. Give me a
to everybody? Thumbs up. Give me a thumbs up if it makes sense for you guys. Okay, great. Now, without further
guys. Okay, great. Now, without further delay, let's see the topics that we are going to be uh working on. Okay, great.
For topic number one, so recently Coca-Cola was actually under fire for creating AI generated holiday ads, sparking a little bit of backlash for uncanny visuals and lack of human
involvement. So the topic for top for
involvement. So the topic for top for pair number one is create a commentary video about Coca-Cola's use of AI in its
commercials.
All right, let's get into topic number two for the second pair.
All right, so guys, obviously the holiday season's upon us, so why not use this moment to create an explainer video about the history of Santa Claus. All
right, this is very topical. This is
going to be very interesting. And feel
free, again, we encourage everyone to use their own pizzazz and their own point of view when creating these videos. Um, does everybody does all this
videos. Um, does everybody does all this make sense to everybody? Give me a thumbs up if this makes sense to you guys. Who's ready to rumble?
guys. Who's ready to rumble?
All right, [laughter] let's Okay, Ruben. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Love it. Love Let's get the timer on screen. All right, and your time starts
screen. All right, and your time starts now.
All right, guys. Now we are in the thick of it, guys. As a reminder for the audience, if the QR code will pop up on the top right hand screen, make sure you cast your vote and vote for who you
think you're going to win for a chance to win some Agent Opus credits. And at
the end, again, we'll be picking our $5,000 winner. Um, let's tech in on
$5,000 winner. Um, let's tech in on Dan's screen. We'll be bouncing around
Dan's screen. We'll be bouncing around screens and showing you what's going on on the back end. Let's uh let's click through Dan screen and see what's going on on the agent opus side of things.
Dan, can you talk to us a little bit more about what you're thinking, what you're doing?
>> Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to reveal my secrets too much, you know, because uh Daniel's listening too. that my my thought like on this topic um like the
technical side of stuff the AI handles that so I can do a little bit about it but I trust the AI to take care of that.
Now the storytelling part and the creativity that's where my prompting comes into play. So I got to amuse Hayden somehow. I cannot um use any like
Hayden somehow. I cannot um use any like weird language or anything that is a bit controversial but I can try to find the edge. So I'm trying to find out the dark
edge. So I'm trying to find out the dark history of Santa Claus and I want to make it slightly sinister and eyeopening to the people that are watching it. So
make it slightly sinister and eye opening to the viewer.
>> Hoping the AI can figure this out. And
then the last thing I'm going to add like we have all been lied to about Santa because I've done a bit of digging with Chachi PT and the the history is a
bit controversial. So, I'm going to see
bit controversial. So, I'm going to see if the AI can capture that moment. Uh,
so I'm going to ask, create a video about the dark history of Santa Claus.
Make it slightly sinister and eye opening to the viewer. Um, as if as if we are as if we have all been lied to.
>> Then the main thing what I'm going to do here, I've had a little time to prepare.
I've used Nano Banana Pro. So, this is the original image that I have as my AI avatar. So, I've cloned myself. And just
avatar. So, I've cloned myself. And just
so you know guys, this is life. So I'm
not an AI. I know I've been getting my YouTube comments that I'm an AI. I'm
going to use AI avatar right now, but I'm not actually AI. So to be in the in the in the Christmas holiday spirit, I don't think Danielle has this kind of outfit on him. So I'm going to use this
avatar. Then I have already cloned my
avatar. Then I have already cloned my voice right here. And basically the next thing I got to do is just hit enter. And
that is my first video about this topic done. Now, the great thing is the agent
done. Now, the great thing is the agent will do all of the research. It will do all of the editing. It will find all of the assets for me. All I have to do
right now is I have to just spray and pray in a sense because like I got an hour left and this is just the first minute. So, while this is still
minute. So, while this is still thinking, I can already go back and do a different prompt with a different topic and I can even like import my own script. So, I'm going to write a few
script. So, I'm going to write a few different prompts, few different scripts, and then I'm going to check back in once the first video has generated, and then I can confirm the script. So, after doing that, I will
script. So, after doing that, I will check back in with you, Sin.
>> Perfect. So, you're going to create multiple videos and pick the best one.
>> Exactly.
>> Easy peasy. That's a really great strategy, Dan. Let's see uh let's hop
strategy, Dan. Let's see uh let's hop into Ruben's screen and let's see what our other AI creator is up to right now.
And guys, as a reminder, we want to also make sure everyone is voting. There's
actually going to be a Google form pinned at the top of the YouTube uh live show. So, that's where we'll actually be
show. So, that's where we'll actually be choosing some of these uh winners for the AO credits. So, make sure you hit that.
>> Ruben, >> put it in.
>> I'm done. I'm already done. I don't know what to do anymore. Just kidding. Uh
just like um just like Dan said, I'm just like having so much fun blasting as many agents as possible. So you see I already have two um very different
strategy on each of them. One it is straight up make the 60-cond video.
You'll be judged on creativity and storytelling. I know that LLMs.
storytelling. I know that LLMs. >> Um so AI loves to be to know what's the goal. Um and I'll be just checking when
goal. Um and I'll be just checking when it needs my input. So I need to like do a little bit of multitasking. This one I took like a little bit a different approach. I said that must have an
approach. I said that must have an extremely clickbay hook that drives negative emotions because people are extremely mad at this AI commercial.
Focus on what was wrong. So, I'm going deeper and deeper in giving um agent opus clearer and clearer uh
instructions. This is how I like to do
instructions. This is how I like to do it. Like almost no instructions,
it. Like almost no instructions, slightly more instructions. and I've
already opened um Chad GPT and simply ask hey I want to be extremely clickbaity um give me some
ideas um and also you can see my own ch has been trained to the max so it's answering very [laughter] very tactical way it's like it's a
soldier it's like okay so wait see script writer is waiting for my answer right here did you see it >> so I'm just going to answer what agent office wants me to do. So there is the
transcript.
Um let's do the edit. Coke just add Coke. I
would say Coca-Cola, right?
>> Coca-Cola.
Just use AI to do this. And the internet is furious. Their latest global ad not
is furious. Their latest global ad not made by artists but by AI. I think it's easier.
>> Wow.
up in the face >> to humanity. I guess you see how I'm just like it's it's called human in the loop. Like it's like gave me some ideas,
loop. Like it's like gave me some ideas, but I'm like here's why. First,
>> there it is. There's the M dash. There's
the M dash.
>> I know. I know a lot of M dashes, but this is a problem. We won't we won't see the the captions.
>> Um so the M dashes will probably give it a reason to like pause. So I guess this is fine. Chris,
is fine. Chris, I'm just reading it so that it feels good. Um,
good. Um, >> and it are you trying to make it feel like more in your voice or you trying to like just refine the script to make it a little punchier like or a little bit of both?
>> Yeah. So, this is what's interesting. It
gave me the structure like I'm not going to move I'm not going to change the structure. I I otherwise is it really AI
structure. I I otherwise is it really AI doing the work? I'm just making sure that sometimes for example our trained it's passive voice.
>> Okay. uh we prefer listening to active voice uh otherwise passive voice is more boring than active voice. So
um uh train on countless artist work often comes no trains
imagine you are you get nothing third co is real magic to be honest let's go let's do it >> all right >> I'm happy with that and then I need to I'm literally working for the AI I have
three minutes just like leave me alone I need to review I feel like this is my work my life uh working with AI is that I'm I'm I'm giving it some instruction and then the AI is like, "Okay, human in
the loop, like do your thing, >> the better it gets."
>> Have you taken a step to fact check it?
>> Who needs that? I'm just kidding.
[laughter] >> Very good point, Hayden.
>> The thing the problem is I I know about the topic because I've heard about it, so I know what they've done. Um
>> that's trust me, bro. That's what you just said. Like what's your source?
just said. Like what's your source?
Trust me, bro.
pretty much. Um,
>> John, do you have any thoughts here, man, on on this?
>> Yeah, first of all, we got to stop hating on the M Dash, guys. We got to stop like >> pretty much >> I I was a M Dash user beforehand, but uh I'm I'm curious, Ruben, how how are you
going about trying to get different um results with your your prompts like given what you're seeing right now?
>> Um, as I said, so I'm I'm trying to go deeper and deeper. So, first no instruction, a little bit more instruction, and then I'll go like super heavy on the instructions, like
literally me taking a stance because I do have one. For now, I'm like kind of like leave it to him to have its own opinion and judgment.
>> Um, but I do have an opinion. I know
that they pretended to use AI. Some
people said they pretended to use AI and they didn't really, which made people even more mad somehow. Matter more mad.
No, [clears throat] >> um, so that's like I know that's going to be my third video that I'm gonna make.
>> Yeah, we're we're interested to see.
We'll uh we'll check in with you, Ruben, in here just a sec. I want to check in with some of our human editors right now. Let's see
now. Let's see and see how he's doing right now.
[laughter] >> Yo, what's up? Oh, look at this guy.
Talk to us. What's going on? What are we looking at, Sebastian?
>> Uh, well, I've just finished recording and I'm currently now uploading the footage. Um, and I know I said I wasn't
footage. Um, and I know I said I wasn't going to use any AI tools, but I am going to use one, which is this tool called Fire Cut, which basically allows
me to trim all the audio um, in my video, so I can save a bit of time. and it seems to not be working,
time. and it seems to not be working, which is great. Um, right, cool. It's
working now.
>> But yeah, that's I'm doing cutting up the footage. I'm gonna piece it up
the footage. I'm gonna piece it up together and then I'm going to start editing it.
>> Do Do you have an idea of like how you're thinking of like how this video is going to look or you kind of just peace mealing it as you go through it?
>> Uh, just getting divides for now, man.
[laughter] I I will add so what Sebastian just did there is that's that's where I am seeing the usefulness of AI where it is doing a task that actually no one wants to do >> which is just cutting out all of those
silences like unless you're doing like a dramatic pause for effect. It's like
that is a very effective way to just for me to get to the creative part sooner.
So that that is where I like to see AI where it's again as I said it's kind of being my edit assistant and so I can get to that part sooner.
And Sebastian, do you have like a like how did you research what you were going to say? Because obviously we saw with
to say? Because obviously we saw with Dan and Ruby, [laughter] I've got a script writer. So we come up with like a basic script. Um and then my
script writers trained on how I talk and how I do my videos. Um so although it's not going to be like, you know, a specific type of video, it's going to be more in my style, if that makes sense.
Um, so that's sort of how how we've done it. We come up with a base script or
it. We come up with a base script or outline for it and then we basically just ask AI to, you know, make it sound more like me. Um, so that's that's the
concept. And I know we had like seven
concept. And I know we had like seven days to do it, but we did it last night.
So, >> right. [laughter]
>> right. [laughter] >> I just find it interesting. I just I'm going to get a little philosophical here. Um, a lot of times, you know, when
here. Um, a lot of times, you know, when I'm when you're making films on a topic, the thing that you go into is you're kind of investigating what is the thing I want to make a story about. And what's
interesting in the approach that I'm seeing from both humans and AI right now is that you're letting AI scan the internet for things that already exist.
>> But if you're taking it from a standpoint of enlightening people, then you have to do your own research.
kind of like when you study at a university and you have to find this thing that's interesting. So, I find it interesting that you're kind of flipping it around um and then adding in your own information. I'm curious to see what
information. I'm curious to see what people in the chat or Hayden or John have to to say about this, but I'm just curious, are we just going to become an echo chamber of things that already
exist on the internet?
>> Just put it out there.
>> No, I agree on that. I think this is one of the biggest concerns that I do have whereas again like obviously AI is able to output significantly faster than humans that but but but I will always reiterate that doesn't mean that it's
good and then as I've pointed out earlier there is the fact that uh as we've already shown uh some a majority of coaches are not going to be
factchecking and with the classic and even though they say it doesn't exist anymore but with the highly likelihood that AI can create sort of hallucinations and be confidently
incorrect a lot of the time and then we don't fact check it, all of this mis misinformation is just going to be thrown out there and that's going to be and that's then going to like take over the internet. So the likelihood of
the internet. So the likelihood of actually be us being able to find a legitimate source and a legitimate piece of information rather than just trust me, bro is going to be even harder because we're just going to be
overwhelmed with high chance of a abundance of misinformation. And so and then when and then next year when we start doing like tell me like like give
me some give me some information about uh Santa Claus uh these AI bot these AI things are going to be scanning all of the other AI outputs that were also wrong and then it's going to take that
as fact and then now we've created a whole new narrative over something that we claim as history that actually probably never existed or did or did
never happened and that is this really dangerous sort of sort of snake eating its oraorous snake eating its own tail risk that essentially all of the
internet is going to become completely full of misinformation that it already has been for the past couple years already. This is going to make it even
already. This is going to make it even worse.
Well, before we paint a doomsday picture here, um I I think it's interesting.
Yeah, I think I I agree with you on the facteing, Hayden. But I think what's
facteing, Hayden. But I think what's going to be really a like a creative multiplier is seeing like people work with many many drafts as a creative and as an editor. And I think that's where
the power of AI is. And I'm curious, Sebastian, just to tee you up here, how you're thinking about your intro and if you try to get multiple different drafts of that before trying to pick the best hook of how you're going to get people
into this video as we see you live editing here. Cuz I think the the risk
editing here. Cuz I think the the risk of AI is if you take something, you generate it, you go with the first thing, and it may not be factual, it may not be accurate, it may not be good.
That's a problem. But if you're able to work with AI and get thousands of drafts or like you know start putting pen to paper and trying to do yourself and iterating and picking the best one that's where you get the best stuff. So
I'm wondering Sebastian how are you thinking about the hook and the intro of this video specifically?
>> Uh I mean I've been doing content for like five years so we sort of like understand short form content. I want to say we understand it but we don't really understand it. Um so we're trying to
understand it. Um so we're trying to like you know hook people in with a little bit more of a disruptive hook.
Um, and then for this video, I don't usually do this, but we're saying that like I'm I study AI. I I study brands using AI or something like that. Um, to
kind of give a bit more authority to that, so it links together. Um, and then we jump into the actual content itself, like telling all of that. And then we've got like some facts. It depends like if
I can edit it all because it's what, like 40 minutes left. So, it's a little bit hard to, you know, do it all in this time, but there is a bit of a structure that comes into it. And it's just like um because I've been editing for so
long, it's it's more routine. It's like it's in the back of
routine. It's like it's in the back of my head. I already know what I'm doing,
my head. I already know what I'm doing, but it's whether or not I can execute it in this amount of time. [snorts]
>> Well, we'll see what happens here, Sebastian. We're excited to check it
Sebastian. We're excited to check it out. Before we jump into you, Daniel, we
out. Before we jump into you, Daniel, we actually want to see Rebecca and Agent Opus against the other AI tools right now and see what's going on on her end.
>> Sounds good. Thanks, Sach. And thanks,
everyone. Hi, everyone. I'm Rebecca. Um
I know that A lot of you know that there are a handful of other AI tools in the market that does similar things where they turn like script and um articles or
ideas in general into videos. And a lot of you are wondering how Asian Opus stands out from the crowd or how Asian Opus is different from them. So we
thought what better ways to show you than doing a head-to-head direct comparison during a live stream. So what
I'm going to do in a minute is I'm going to show use the same prompt and feed them into Nvidia, hey Jen, and uh Mirage. And towards the end, we'll watch
Mirage. And towards the end, we'll watch the video together and you'll be the judge to decide which tool performs the best. All right, let's start with
best. All right, let's start with Nvidia. This is the Nvidia dashboard.
Nvidia. This is the Nvidia dashboard.
What I'm going to do is I'm going to um first create a Santa Claus video and I'm going to use the same prompt from Dan.
And over here, I'm actually going to use this AI twin that I created beforehand using uh the image of our creative director EMTT.
All right. So, this is the um first project. And now I'm going to feed in
project. And now I'm going to feed in the second project, which is the Coca-Cola. I'm actually um going back to
Coca-Cola. I'm actually um going back to coming back to Invido in a minute because it would ask me to confirm one thing before proceed.
All right. Same thing for this. I just
copy and pasted the prompt used by Reuben Coca-Cola of about the AI commercial from Coca-Cola. ClickB. All right.
from Coca-Cola. ClickB. All right.
Generate my video.
Now, let's move to Hen. This is Hen's um AI video, AI video agent. I think
they launched it recently for the same purpose. Um again, very similar thing.
purpose. Um again, very similar thing.
I'm going to use the same prompt. Create
a 60-second video about the AI commercial from Coca-Cola. And same
thing I'm going to use emit as the AI avatar so that everyone can see how uh lifelike or how not lifelike the the
tools can create for AI avatar. Um I'm
actually going to select the time limit to less than 60 seconds. I think this is what I like about hey genen. It can um it it it allows you to you know um
select the time time duration limit.
Same thing for the Santa Claus one. Let
me share this tab instead. I'm going to use the same prompt.
Create a video about history of Santa Claus. Make it slightly sinister and I
Claus. Make it slightly sinister and I opening. And for this one, I'm going to
opening. And for this one, I'm going to upload two of my assets that I uploaded previously. So this is something that I
previously. So this is something that I think unique to Asian Opus and uh Hen um where you can upload your own B- rolls and other assets to be included in the
final output whereas Nvido and Mirage do not allow you to do so. All right, same thing. I'm going to select 60 seconds as
thing. I'm going to select 60 seconds as the video duration.
Last bit is to use Mirage before I go back to Hey Jen and uh Nvidia to confirm two things. So one
thing that's very different about Mirage which is I think the rebranded version of captions AI is that it does not allow you to write a prompt rather you have to
put in a full script and the whole user journey is very different. So, what I'm going to do here is I'm going to copy and paste this transcript or script from
one project created by Dan, I believe.
And then what I need to do is I need to pick an actor with the voice. Again,
same thing. I'm going to pick EMTT. And
then I need to generate audio first and then pick which audio feel sounds the best before I can go and create the video myself. All right. As we're
video myself. All right. As we're
waiting for the audio to generate, I am going to paste the script of the other project
from Ruben I believe over here. Same
thing I'm going to use emit actor and then generate audio.
All right, I'm going back to inv video so that everyone can take a look at how like the the user journey of Nvidia. So this is
um what Nvidia will show you after you know you um type in the prompt. It would
ask you if everything looks good. Um
actually it would it it wants me to create an 8 minute uh video but it's a little bit too long for the live stream.
So I'm going to click 45 seconds and Tik Tok. And to make things fair I'm going
Tok. And to make things fair I'm going to use their best model for this.
Oh duration one minute Tik Tok. Cool.
All right.
>> All right. I think that's all right now.
It's just, you know, the game of the waiting.
>> All right. Thank you, Rebecca. We'll
check in with you in just a sec. We want
to see our last human creator, Mr. Daniel. Let's see what your screen looks
Daniel. Let's see what your screen looks like, my friend. Oh my goodness. Look at
this. Talk to us. What are we looking at here, man? I didn't know you were
here, man? I didn't know you were related to Santa Claus, but I can see the resemblance a little bit.
>> Yeah, you got the outfit. Is the mic still working here? I apologize.
>> Yeah, we can hear you, man. We can hear you.
>> Perfect. Yeah. So, I you know, I I fil I set up a little side studio in my uh in my other office and and put on a Santa suit and filmed some A-roll here. And
the trick is trying to put together something quickly. I had a loose script
something quickly. I had a loose script to follow, but trying to get 60 seconds as a target and tell a story is, man, that's I mean, I like short form content, but it's a trick. It's a trick
here. It's definitely uh it's definitely
here. It's definitely uh it's definitely it's definitely testing my abilities.
Yeah, I can imagine. I mean, we've heard that from you, Daniel, and we heard that from Sebastian. Sounds like the time
from Sebastian. Sounds like the time limit of 60 minutes seems to be like the deciding factor here. I
>> I gotta give Daniel a lot of props because I think, you know, with Sebastian, we were talking a lot about like a verbal hook and like how we want to think about like writing it and getting people in with that. Daniel, I'm
giving you credit because I think you're trying to get people in with a visual hook. And I don't know where you found
hook. And I don't know where you found that outfit and if you bought it in time for this or what, but uh you know the fact that you're already dressing up as Santa Claus and trying to get people in and give them something different than just a normal talking head and normal
outfit. I'm interested to see how this
outfit. I'm interested to see how this one plays out.
>> Yeah, that's just my uh that's my usual wardrobe I wear around the house on [laughter] >> I try to look cool on YouTube.
>> That's a Tuesday outfit. Got it.
>> Casual Tuesday.
>> Yeah, just casual Tuesday. Just seeing
Santa going to the the the local Starbucks or whatever you have there.
Yep.
>> Oh man, >> I did not expect that. Daniel, I got to give the credits that I I'm I'm here using my AI and you're actually having the outfit. Like that's crazy.
the outfit. Like that's crazy.
>> That is that is interesting. So judges,
we've seen all of the all of the content so far kind of people in progress, right? Like what are we thinking? Like
right? Like what are we thinking? Like
any any initial thoughts, any gut reactions? My my biggest thought is I
reactions? My my biggest thought is I think the key again I'm harping on the intro because that's so crucial for um a short form. I really want to see what
short form. I really want to see what people do with their first frame especially like right away like because talking head it's just we see a face, we see text, we see a visual and and I feel like it's getting a bit monotonous. So
I'm curious to see how people mix it up.
I'm already excited for what Daniel's especially going to do. And I think the other thing I'm going to be looking out for um as a judge is how how are you guys going to call BS before the audience has a chance to do that?
Because I think a lot of times with a talking head video, you're saying something and you're trying to educate, but audienc's BS detectors in 2025 are like >> so high. And I think to Hayden's earlier
point about factchecking, like I'm curious what people are going to address about this topic before the audience has a chance to address it. Um, and how you'll visually bring that to life. So
just sharing a little bit about how I'll be looking and judging the videos that come in. Yeah, I I completely agree with
come in. Yeah, I I completely agree with John in that sense in terms of like it's it's it's never been about attention spans. It is the BS meter of like is
spans. It is the BS meter of like is this actually worth my time? And
everyone's gotten very quickly attuned towards that quality.
>> And that's actually going to be the golden word there, the quality. Like,
oh, this actually already proves to me this was a good hook. It doesn't feel cliche. There is there is a good
cliche. There is there is a good confidence in it rather than it just feeling quite generic. That is kind of the things that I'm looking for and AI
inherently has that in has that mediocre feeling straight away. And so and so for me
straight away. And so and so for me right now in my viewing experience and I'm seeing it with others is the moment they get hint of that AI feeling. It's
like gh like you you you get you get the the greasy feeling on [snorts] your skin feeling and then they instantly scroll away. So I think that is kind of and so
away. So I think that is kind of and so AI as of now I will and I will reiterate that as of now currently has a feeling of the me going ding ding ding
ding ding this is not made well I'm out and then we move on to the next thing.
>> If I may say something here because I obviously agree even though I'm writing about AI every day people think oh it's all hailed to AI I love AI all of the
time. It's not true. Um, I think AI is
time. It's not true. Um, I think AI is the average and the average is always mediocre. So, this is what's tough. You
mediocre. So, this is what's tough. You
need to use it correctly. Um, and the best analogy I can make is how if I had access to, I don't know, Canva templates to make designs, but 20 years ago, and I
was the only one who had it, I'll be the best designer on earth, like the fastest one. I'll be making the craziest thing
one. I'll be making the craziest thing ever. or if I had the VIP coding tool,
ever. or if I had the VIP coding tool, I'll be like the best like guy at building websites fast as possible. But
now it's a commodity. Like everyone has it. It's like, oh, it's just it's just a
it. It's like, oh, it's just it's just a Canva template. Like who cares? Um, so
Canva template. Like who cares? Um, so
we always want to have more and we tend to forget what's the baseline, what's the average, and the average keeps being better, which means everyone like everyone's mediocre is higher and
higher. Um, yeah. So I think this what's
higher. Um, yeah. So I think this what's happened with with AI it's why human in the loop is important.
>> The key the key Ruben I think is that you know the key that I've been seeing from what John and what Hayden and what you are saying is like how do you take these tools but make it unique. So
people it's like I haven't seen that perspective before >> and so you have to be creative. I
remember when like templates were coming out and people were like oh you're not a real editor if you're using a template.
This was in like 2013, right? And so how I used to do that as a video producer myself. I would take that template and
myself. I would take that template and adapt it to work with the story that I was trying to create. So I think that's kind of what a lot of these creators are
doing now to help. I mean a limited we have a limited time span here, guys.
Like we can't create like a beautiful masterpiece in 30 minutes. Let's get
real. But we're going to do the best that you can, right?
>> Um but really good insight, guys.
>> Yeah. Super super interesting.
>> Uh guys, so look, we do have a surprise for the audience uh that we want to get into real quick. We right now, as you can uh >> I'm not taking my shirt off.
>> Whoa, Hayden. This is a familyfriendly live stream, my friend. [laughter]
>> We know that Ruben and Dan are right now waiting for their videos to be generated. So that's another benefit,
generated. So that's another benefit, right, of Agent Opus, right? Once you
kind of input what you need to input, you kind of just hang around till the video is generated. So, we thought it'd be really fun to invite a chess legend
and test some of these guys' skills against the one and only Andrea Botez, 50% of the Botees Sisters.
>> Hi guys.
>> Hey, Andrea. How's it going?
>> Hi guys. Good. Thanks for having me. I'm
excited to be here.
>> This is going to be really fun. Do you
think you could take on both Ruben and Dan?
>> I think I could take everyone in this call on at the same time.
>> Let's Ruben Dan, what do you think? Do
you think you could take on Andrea?
>> I'm so bad at chess. It's actually
annoying. And at the level of chess, like I can move the pieces like I know what to do.
>> That's okay. That's all you need to get a game.
>> Pretty much.
>> Dan, how do you feel?
>> I mean, I don't think Andrea knows that I'm running AI chess in the background.
So, uh, we might actually stand a chance there. [laughter]
there. [laughter] >> Nice. Nice.
>> Nice. Nice.
>> That is the trend these days.
>> That's awesome. [laughter]
>> Um, can we pull up the chess match right now or the the >> Do you want me to challenge on chess.com?
>> Yeah. Yeah, we can do that.
>> Sounds good. I have literally a chess tournament right after this, which is like my biggest tournament ever. So, you
guys are going to be my warm-up prep.
>> Oh, wow.
>> Perfect. Perfect.
Um, I'll just need a username.
>> Yeah, >> I'll let you guys.
>> Also, Hayden, I've watched a lot of your educational videos about editing. It's
cool to see you in this call as well.
>> Hey, great. Thank you. Thank you. Nice
to meet you.
>> Nice to meet you. I've sent a lot of references to my editors and say, "Listen to this man." [laughter]
>> I' I've heard. So I I think most editors are sick of me at this point, you know.
>> Probably you're probably like their arch nemesis.
>> Okay, I got two chest. So um we're going to play I wish we could do a simole.
That would be cool.
>> Which trying to think actually if there's a way. But um would you guys like to play
way. But um would you guys like to play one at a time?
>> Sure.
>> One at a time. Yeah. And then we can kind of Yeah. Okay.
>> Let's try that.
>> Who volunteers first? [laughter]
Uh, >> the one you add first. You know what?
>> Okay, sounds good. I'm going to keep it a surprise.
>> Um, >> it's so funny. I have one friend. It's
Dan so far on chess.com. And the next one's going to be one of the Butters sisters.
>> Perfect.
>> That's the flex.
>> Um, all I'll need. So, what time control do you guys want to play? I would
usually play 32, but if you guys want to do 5 or even longer. Should we pretend like we understand the question or >> two? Three two is fine. Three two is
>> two? Three two is fine. Three two is fine.
>> 32. Okay. Okay. [clears throat]
Um, so it just means three minutes for the entire game, but you get two seconds with every move.
>> Wow. All right.
>> Okay.
>> Okay. Sounds great.
>> Um, it's gonna be really interesting.
I'm very curious to see what happens here.
>> We should put in a timer on the screen.
Who loses first?
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> Good idea.
>> Yeah. Andrea, don't go easy on these guys. They
guys. They >> and 30 >> my warm up day on a loss.
>> Sorry.
>> Sorry. No, I was just gonna say 30 minutes left for for the the contest right now. So for more so for the human
right now. So for more so for the human guys, the human editor.
>> Great. I sent Reuben a challenge.
>> Perfect.
>> Reuben will go first.
>> Okay.
>> Three, two, one. Rated. He has a juicy elo of 100 points, >> which I actually think might be lower than what you start with as a floor. I
lost one game to Dan yesterday. We just
[laughter] wanted to test it.
>> So, >> but I don't see you though. Wait, where
are you?
>> Oh, I'm sorry. My username is >> Ruben, I think you need to share your screen too.
>> I'll share my screen.
>> Go to chess.complayonline
and my username is super secret one 345.
But I can also just start the match automatically if that's better.
>> Yeah. Can you go for it? Let me just uh make sure you're in chess.comlive.
>> Okay, >> I'm gonna do it again.
>> Live.
>> Great. Three, two, one. Right. Okay.
>> I'm so scared though.
>> Oh, [laughter] there you go. We're
going.
>> I'm scared for you.
>> Good luck.
>> Okay. Oh my gosh.
>> Interesting.
>> The funniest part about this is that all my opponents are playing this big tournament. We'll see that how I'm
tournament. We'll see that how I'm preparing for the tournament that starts in an hour is playing 100, >> right? You can play however you want. I
>> right? You can play however you want. I
think you could win in many different ways. Trust me.
ways. Trust me.
>> Okay. So, go ahead.
>> I was going to say, Andrea, as you play, we're curious to hear your thoughts on this whole like AI versus human editing.
Like, do you have any opinions of who you think is going to win this challenge today? Whether it's the AI, the human
today? Whether it's the AI, the human editors.
>> Okay. So, by do you mean like in the scope of the future, like let's say five years, or you mean just >> more so this particular competition? um
more so like this this particular like agent opus versus uh versus the human editors.
>> Okay, got it. So as in Sorry, just the way you're phrasing the question. So you
mean just people using Opus clips to help edit their content versus like actual editors is what you mean?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, more so like the the so we have like right now split between like some of these contestants people are who are just using agent opus like one of our tools um and then people who
are just using their normal editing software to generate video. So
>> is there any way I can see any of that?
Sorry I was given no context.
>> No, you're good. You're good. You're
good and trash talk. [laughter] Um, but I would love in general like I obviously a lot of our editors are using Opus clip and it also really helps me as I edit a lot of my own content. The best thing
that would help was like if I could see one or two because obviously I can't judge something.
>> Yeah, they're going to be working on it right now so there's nothing to see yet.
But stick around and you'll see you'll see it all. But maybe maybe like in terms of like just overall like edit like AI in the
>> I can give you my best answer. Um, so I don't think necessarily I can judge who can win, but I can tell you that I think it'll just come down to whoever is the most creative. And I don't think that
most creative. And I don't think that will necessarily change with or how Let me try to think how you uh phrase this correctly. I think the most talented,
correctly. I think the most talented, most creative editor, >> their skill level will either be just elevated with AI tool because it's just faster. Um, so my guess is that whoever
faster. Um, so my guess is that whoever wins is whoever has like the most creative brain for editing. Um because
as someone who does use AI tools a lot and there's so much like the critique of you know AI is going to replace a lot of the workforce and there's a lot of risk my stance on that in general is that
well um obviously AI is inevitable and I think that a lot of these skills are not like replacing any human creativity it more just helps us for example like brainstorming process and seeing things
early on it helps you do that much faster. So, I see that it kind of just
faster. So, I see that it kind of just enhances whatever human strengths you have to begin with. So, my guess is that whoever is like the most creative editor is going to win and then that the Opus
clip is simply going to help them just like bolster their tools, but it really comes down to how they're using it, which is more of a subjective answer, but that's the best answer.
>> Totally. No, no, that's totally fair. We
we really appreciate it. Um, while these guys play chess, I think it's a great time to choose one lucky winner for some AO credits, Agent Opus credits. Um, and
for context guys, Agent Opus will be available for the public literally right after this webinar. So, you know, we want to give you guys some credits and we want to shower you guys with some
gifts here. Um, can we is are we ready
gifts here. Um, can we is are we ready on our end to to kind of find a winner in just a second here? We'll we'll
choose a winner. But, uh, yeah, maybe give it like a couple minutes. Who do
you Who you guys think is going to win this chess match, though? This is This is interesting. Audrey, are you just
is interesting. Audrey, are you just like >> I haven't played chess in like five years. I'm [laughter] so That
years. I'm [laughter] so That was way harder than >> I'm pretty I don't know.
>> I don't even know. My brain is melting.
Like >> you're doing great. You haven't lost your queen yet.
>> Who is super secret? Is that you?
>> That's me. [laughter] I um funny story.
I had a tournament and I was tired of all the 13year-olds preparing for my opening. So, I changed my username from
opening. So, I changed my username from Andrea Boes to super secret 1 2 3 4 5.
And then a 12-year-old showed me that you just Google Andrea chess.com and there's a giant profile that links you to this profile. So, it's not very secret. [laughter]
secret. [laughter] >> I love that.
>> Wild. Oh, man. Uh, great. Are we Are we ready to pick a >> You're [laughter] You're okay for now.
Don't worry.
>> You have one more. You still have time.
Don't worry. You're still hanging in there.
>> Wait, we're allowed to swear in the stream? Yeah. [laughter]
stream? Yeah. [laughter]
Oh yeah.
Oh my god. This is This is interesting.
This is really interesting.
>> He's totally fine.
>> I see.
>> All right, guys. Can we we are going to choose a winner for some Agent Opus credits and it'll be popped up on the screen. Can we get a drum roll, please?
screen. Can we get a drum roll, please?
Oh, >> no one's drum rolling.
>> No one's drum rolling yet.
>> Okay, I do.
>> Okay, perfect.
>> There we go.
>> The winner is three, two, one, Greg her.
>> Congratulations, Greg. You have won.
you're the first winner of the day and won some agent [laughter] focus credits, we you'll be contacted one of our by one of our team members and we'll be giving a ton more credits out as well as the big lucky prize at the end of this live
stream which is going to be $5,000 in cold hard cash, guys. It's going to be really, really good. While these guys are while Andrea's crushing Ruben in
this chess match, let's dive let's dive back into some of Sebastian's back end.
Sebastian, let's see what your screen looks like right now, man. Since the
beginning >> lot flushed out.
>> I mean, I can't really talk. I've got
I'm under a time limit here. [laughter]
>> You got to give us a little playbyplay.
>> I have 16 seconds. I forgot. I don't
want to ruin it because then the judges, >> what can I do? Oh, I like that match cut effect.
>> He's got that chromatic aberration, but has he got the scan lines in it?
>> This is interesting. [laughter]
>> We're going to the scan line level. I
love it.
>> Yeah. Talk to Zoom as well.
>> You You tell me. Can you tell me what you want? Because uh
you want? Because uh >> are you are you going into the are you going like so are you kind of just toying around with like the middle portion of this edit or do you kind of have an idea of what you want it to look like? Are you just trying to like give
like? Are you just trying to like give us a little >> idea? [laughter]
>> idea? [laughter] Um I'm just trying to piece it together, you know, like chronologically. Um
probably not going to be able to get to the end, but uh when is like how long have we got left?
We got uh it was 30 minutes about five minutes ago. Probably like 25 minutes.
minutes ago. Probably like 25 minutes.
Maybe we'll let you focus Sebastian while you do your thing and uh we'll bounce right back to you in just a momentarily. Rebecca, are we good on the
momentarily. Rebecca, are we good on the AI versus AI or [snorts] are we still waiting for those videos to render?
>> Still waiting for the results, but they're close to completion.
>> Pretty impressed by the speed of all AI tools for now. Perfect. You know what else is close to completion? Looks like
this chess match is pretty close to [laughter] flag. It was really sad. It wasn't even
flag. It was really sad. It wasn't even his fault. He was fighting really well.
his fault. He was fighting really well.
>> Is it done? Do you guys want >> It's so dumb. It reminds me. My uncle
used to bully me when I was like a kid.
He was trying to teach me and I was like so bad. [snorts]
so bad. [snorts] >> Thank you.
>> You found a nice counteratt attack. You
were You're definitely better than 100 and hopefully one day you could beat Dan.
Perfect. That's [laughter] my goal now.
That's my mission. Life mission
unlocked.
>> Oh my gosh. Um, let's pull up Daniel's screen while while we wait.
Judges, what are we thinking so far?
>> Oh my god.
>> That's a wonderful shot.
>> Oh my god. This is This is Everyone, please screenshot this. This is a holiday card in the making right now.
>> Well, what I'm actually liking about this and and it's in comparison to what I saw earlier. Well, there's this really interesting like 3D depth to that shot
and and we were seeing with whoever was using on Agent Opus, you know, when they had their avatar, it was like just like it looked 2D to me and I can't describe it exactly, but like that shot looks
looks like it had depth. But I'm going to but I am but I am going to be um I am going to throw myself under the bus here a little bit. I am I am definitely seeing and correct me if I'm wrong here, Daniel, but those do look like AI
generated images that you're using as as B-roll.
>> Yeah. So, I was uh I was trying to play within the rules here and I knew I knew what the limitations on my end was. So,
I figured I' [laughter] I'd draw upon um another New Hampshire >> native who I'm a big fan of, a guy by the name of Ken Burns who uses imagery to create edits and uh and documentaries. So, I actually went ahead
documentaries. So, I actually went ahead of time and my assets are mostly made up of just um images that I put together to tell the story. Story being told in the A-roll and then just still images and trying to bring them to life, which is
>> Yeah.
>> No wonder Ken Burns is a pro and I'm not.
>> Oh, yeah. No. Yeah. But trying to find those types of images and then getting that and actually and then it being as relevant as it as it can be is an incredibly difficult process. Uh, and
then so I have I definitely respect the fact of using the AI imagery and so like if time permitting, but again good, fast, cheap, and we're trying to and trying to get these things done fast.
Uh, yeah, like for you to also be filming all of these shots as well, that is going to take a minute. That's going
to that is going to take a while. And so
with that limitation, I can see why you're you are having to use AI images, but just but for me and but keep keep using it. But for me, just where I am
using it. But for me, just where I am and where I sit with AI, the moment I see the fact that I was able to tell immediately that that was an AI image just made me go uh you know, it's like
um for me the way the moment I uh the best comparison I can make and when we go see a big massive Hollywood movie and and then and then just and and it's
happening more and more now where we're seeing crap CGI or we're seeing like really bad CGI and then like and then the movie is like isn't just the most epic thing and we're just going h no
like we feel nothing from this. I get
that when I see AI images now I just get like the oh like I can see what you're I can see the intent but I don't believe it and so that's the feeling that I'm getting with with these images but again
I can understand the limitations you're having given given given the current circumstance but that that is experience I'm having with all AI videos at the
moment. I'm just going h this is just
moment. I'm just going h this is just just just this just I can't tell you why >> a little bit of the ick one thing I just wanted to call out here is that Dan obviously I want you to focus here I'm
just kind of observing what's happening here one thing of course you're using Da Vinci Resolve which by the way you know I have a channel called Premier Gal whatever vehicle you use to create your
process fantastic and honestly I understand a lot of what's going on in this interface what I love most about the timeline process versus the prompting is you you can go like frame
by frame and adjust the shots, right?
When when you get some of these like completed products that come out from Nvidia or Opus Clip, Opus Agent, um you you don't really get that refinement
capability that you're seeing with Sebastian and Dan's editing where you can really make, you know, that zoom just a little bit shorter or add a little bit more of a pause there. you
just get more control. And I just appreciate this process of him literally going in to adjust the color grade using that curve. It's just so satisfying to
that curve. It's just so satisfying to see all of the the thoughts that are going through his head in real time as I'm watching this back.
>> Yeah, I love the attention to detail as well. I I I will say like what like like
well. I I I will say like what like like the the the AI B-roll feels a bit uh more of a stark contrast because I think like >> Dan is giving us such good A-roll here.
>> Um >> stands out.
>> Yeah, it really stands out versus I think if the entire thing was um you know uh AI generated like we'll see with some of these other videos, it feels a bit more permissible with like what
people are seeing today. Um, but but I'm really curious like how uh Daniel, you're going to make your A-roll work with text on screen if you're adding that. I'm seeing your timeline right
that. I'm seeing your timeline right now. I I I see mostly, you know, the uh
now. I I I see mostly, you know, the uh graphics going towards the B-roll shots.
But I think that's one thing that I'm going to be looking at when we get to the judging section is like how are you using you on screen with with text, graphics, or animations and the time allotted? Um, because that to me is the
allotted? Um, because that to me is the most interesting thing versus the cutting back and forth to A-roll versus the B-roll. Guys, quick heads up for the
the B-roll. Guys, quick heads up for the human editors. We have about 15 minutes
human editors. We have about 15 minutes left. So, we're going to let you guys
left. So, we're going to let you guys cook and do your thing and bounce back actually to Andrea's screen. Uh, we're
going to see if she can crush Don and finally.
>> Yeah, finally. [laughter] Let's see.
>> Andre, you have 15 minutes to go to go crazy.
>> Okay. I just see you challenge Dan. If
not, I'll start the match automatically.
Let me know if you get it.
>> Sounds good. While while she's doing this, can I share a story as to why Mariah Carey is triggering for me?
>> Huh?
>> Yeah, sure. Go for it.
>> So, [laughter] and and unfortunately, this is it's dark, but it's a funny story as well for me nowadays. So, and I'll open it with a
me nowadays. So, and I'll open it with a terri with a horri horrifying line. When
I was 7 years old, my mom died and we were all in the hospital when it happened. and me and my family were all
happened. and me and my family were all in the hospital hallway uh like all grieving. But the problem is is that actually yeah get like she she passed away early December. And so
because of that here's all of us like grieving while echoing throughout the hallways of the hospital. All I want for
Christmas is you. And so every year it is torture. Every year I get reminded of
is torture. Every year I get reminded of that moment as soon as as soon as Mariah Carey comes out of ice. It is
terrifying. And so seeing So Daniel, how dare you how dare you trigger me with showing Mariah Carey. This is I'm out of the stream. I'm out.
the stream. I'm out.
>> Bye guys. [laughter]
>> Yeah, I apologize for that. I find her equally triggered. [laughter]
equally triggered. [laughter] Oh man. Uh just uh so you guys have
Oh man. Uh just uh so you guys have context um from here, Andrew, let's bounce to the like the Agent Opus screen. So we'll show you what uh what
screen. So we'll show you what uh what Dan's looking at. We'll show you what um uh like Ruben's looking at while they're playing these chess games.
>> Wait, wait, give me a second. Give me a second.
>> I just got to [snorts] screenshot this.
>> Don't worry about Dan. Dan, you focus what you need to focus on. We'll go to Ruben's screen. We'll go to Ruben's
Ruben's screen. We'll go to Ruben's screen. Oh no.
screen. Oh no.
>> That's how AI is supposed to be played.
Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Let's go to Let's go to >> Should I share my screen?
>> Yes, please.
>> Of course.
So I spin four of them. This one is the closest to completion.
>> This is the uh >> midle. I just try to be as clickbay as
>> midle. I just try to be as clickbay as possible. I think I confirmed the script
possible. I think I confirmed the script by removing some part of it, adapting some part of it.
>> Oh, >> it just hit completed.
>> Oh, the project. Look at that.
>> We won't play right now. We We'll play in just a sec. But as you can see, guys, once the prompt is within agent opus and when you hit submit, that loading window right there, it'll show you exactly sort
of when the video is going to be made.
Um, and it's going to be really, really interesting. If we look at the search
interesting. If we look at the search result here, too.
>> I was going to say, is that the first is that the first >> actually crazy like 130 >> references.
>> Wow.
>> I Yeah, that's insane.
>> Very very interesting. And it's pulling in real world assets, guys. Like these
are really really interesting. And this
is one of the benefits of using tools like agent opus where you can pull together fast amount of of assets at a high quantity like very very quickly, right? And
right? And >> look at this one >> content >> and it's different. This one is two minute.
Oh, this one's 70 minute. I don't know if it's going to be ready.
>> Um, but still >> very >> You can see these are different. Again,
>> Ruben, how how are you selecting? I'm
curious because I I think so much of like what what makes good AI content is the taste of the person prompting and and like what just take us in your mind as you're looking at um everything on screen with those search.
>> So so what's interesting is that this part >> is not for me. This is agent office that understood what I wanted and he was like
sure let's do that.
Um but pretty impressed. I mean
I think this is where it's going. you
you give it some direction.
You spin some version of it. I mean, sure, this is the first version of agent opus. It's
literally called beta/ agent opus. So,
um we know that this is not the last version, but if I can use mid journey as an example, the one that makes images, >> what do I do? What do I do?
>> video. Um the the midron artists that I know that are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by very big brands, >> they don't make 10 variations of a midi
image or a hundred. They literally make >> thousands of images >> like thousands >> thousands of images and then because most of them are creative director or
they've been photographer uh in the past or they became one um when they're sitting and watching a thousand images they know which one's interesting as you
say John the taste if I look at a thousand images I'll be like yeah maybe this one's cool but I won't have the same depth
of taste, let's say. So,
>> keep distracting them, Reuben. Keep
distracting them. Please switch to the screen of Reuben. [laughter]
>> Um, even my judging is is not even help.
>> By the way, I love how more chill like uh the AI uh participants are than the human ones. I'm seeing Daniel just
human ones. I'm seeing Daniel just stressing over there. [laughter]
So, I have two videos now. A second one just got made.
>> Yeah, Andrea, how's how's Dan compared to to Ruben in terms of chess?
>> Um, well, I'm about to checkmate him soon, but that's not his fault cuz I went much more aggressive. And honestly,
I feel bad because the conversation you guys are having is so interesting. Like,
literally, as someone who does so much editing myself, I love everything you guys are saying. And I want you guys to be invested. And I just I I set up a
be invested. And I just I I set up a tricky tactic and I JUST HEAR, "OH NO, OH GOD, WHAT DO I do? [laughter]
Bad."
>> Andrea, if you could give these guys a piece of advice for playing, what would you give them? What's like the best piece of advice you can give them?
>> Well, at this level, truth is check for undefended pieces and do puzzle rush because the only way that you're losing games at lower ELO is because you're blundering a piece. Um, so it's always
do more chess puzzles, which is unfortunately not the most fun, but >> Oh, man.
>> Good advice. Good advice.
>> That's good advice. Wow.
>> Can I change the topic just really quickly? I was just wondering if
quickly? I was just wondering if somebody could um clarify if agent opus and the results that we get, is it using
AI to generate some of the content or is it pulling only uh like stock video?
Like I just wanted clarification on that.
>> Yeah, it's using a mixture and Rebecca can and probably talk a little bit more about it while she's on screen.
>> Yeah, that's a very that's a very good question as that mention is a mixture uh using a mixture of real world assets as well as AI generated uh content and for
AI generated content it's not completely uh you know uh AI generated without any grounding. We would take the real world
grounding. We would take the real world assets and then add a layer of AI motion graphics to it to make it more factual.
>> Got it. And like if there is any stock video being used, is that like in is that licensed and included with the agent opus subscription?
Yeah, we do have a feature called filter that allows you to select the source that you want to use um for the assets creation. For now, we do use assets that
creation. For now, we do use assets that are um that have I think it's called creator common uh satch correct >> creative comments.
>> Creative comments. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Which requires attribution, correct?
>> Yes, I believe so.
>> Okay. And are users aware of that?
>> Yes, users are aware of that. We um put everything very clearly in the pro in a product.
>> Got it. Okay. No, I was just I was just generally curious. I didn't mean it to
generally curious. I didn't mean it to come across as like by the way are we attributing this like all of this stuff.
I was just really curious how >> that's a good question. Question
>> how all of it works because I know that I used when I was in college and stuff I use like creative comments public domain from Wikipedia uh media comments. I
don't know if you guys have ever used that before. Um, but generally, um, at
that before. Um, but generally, um, at the end credits whenever I would make a film, I'd include, uh, an attribution at the very end. I'm just curious if, um,
how you guys are planning to go about that and stuff like at the end of the videos, are there going to be credits or is a caption generated with attribution?
Just really curious.
>> Yeah, good question. For now, we don't have the postredit uh, like what you would normally do. What we did in the past was um for every unseen that has uh
you know assets from other creators, we would put like an app mention and then call out their ID. We do have some users uh mentioning that they don't like it because it would just destroy the the
beauty or the aesthetics of the video.
So what we're doing right now is we're still trying to figure out a way to you know maintain the right balance between the style the stylish side as well as the you know the right credit side. So
if you have any um suggestions u do feel free to let us know. I do think the postredit is a great suggestion >> the caption just including like this is where I got the sources just like in a YouTube video description post your
sources just like when you write an article have all the sources at the bottom. It doesn't have to be in the
bottom. It doesn't have to be in the visual. That would be my recommendation.
visual. That would be my recommendation.
>> Great call out.
>> Definitely a great call out. And guys,
we have five minute less than five minutes. Four minutes and seven 16
minutes. Four minutes and seven 16 seconds left to it's getting to crunch time right now. They're getting excited.
Andrea, uh, has the game done? You guys finished already?
>> Oh, yeah. We made it a while ago, but it was great. I got to tune into the convo.
was great. I got to tune into the convo.
>> Perfect. Well, thank you so much, Andrea. Thank you so much for hopping in
Andrea. Thank you so much for hopping in and being part of this. Um, and yeah, we're super pumped. Rebecca, are you are you good on your end? Like all your videos generated or still waiting?
>> Yes, all six videos are generated.
>> Oh man. Okay. I'm trying to think. Maybe
we'll play it towards the end once this is done and then we can kind of go through yours. Then we'll get into like
through yours. Then we'll get into like the battle number one which is going to be the AI versus human which I know you guys are excited to see. Um and as a reminder to people who are watching guys, make sure you vote again. We're
gonna be giving out AO credits, agent open credits at the end of this, as well as our one lucky winner, $5,000 in cash to one lucky person. So, make sure you
guys hit that uh QR code and then also within the YouTube link, uh there is a a form to fill out. So, make sure you hit that. Um judges, how are we feeling?
that. Um judges, how are we feeling?
Four minutes on the clock. Like, this is is getting to crunch time.
>> Well, there's a cat on screen on Rebecca's camera, so that was a that that I was really happy about that.
[laughter] I have two cats.
>> Minutes.
>> Oh man. Yeah. John, how are we how are we feeling, man? What are you thinking?
>> I'm good. I'm I'm looking at this timeline here. I can't wait to see I see
timeline here. I can't wait to see I see some cool match cuts coming up from Sebastian and uh >> it's going to be great.
>> It's going to be really really exciting.
Oh my gosh. Has has any of like for this is a question for the judges based off of kind of what you've been hearing about the discourse of AI and kind of how some of these creators both the human and the AI creators are talking
about the strategy has that impacted the way you're looking at this as well or not really. H I think I think I as as
not really. H I think I think I as as even even though I've been very uh sort of aggressive on this like as an AI centrist I think a lot a lot of my
opinions still have kind of also kind of been confirmed I would I would say in terms on terms of um what what I was expecting. Um but I'm also interested
expecting. Um but I'm also interested I'm enjoying seeing uh what what Sebastian was doing in there. But I
think being part of this discussion and and then and then de and then debating it with people on the opposite end of the spectrum, that's those are the discussions that I like to have. And so
I've actually just been really enjoying just like seeing the opposite end of the spectrum. So my opinion is not in an
spectrum. So my opinion is not in an echo chamber.
>> I I think it's all going to come back to I can't wait to see what uh these edits look like in two minutes.
>> Daniel looking good at Santa there. But
I I honestly think the heart of this conversation.
>> I got a question. Do we have to export before or after?
>> No, you could like you can export after the the timeline the time limit. That's
fine. [laughter]
>> You just got an extra two minutes.
>> We'll give you some extra time there.
>> It's fine. I I will also say I will point out I don't know who said it specifically, but I will also acknowledge the uh the fact that the human editors are stressing the out
whereas the AI editors have like they've had a cup of tea. They paid a test. I
will acknowledge that that was a >> I mean I'm I'm stressing though. I I got like so many different options to choose from. So I'm I'm like which which video
from. So I'm I'm like which which video do I have to choose? So, and that's going to be the that's going to be the part of the gamble that's going to be so interesting. Like if you you if you
interesting. Like if you you if you haven't watched them yet, uh it's like that's going to be the gamble. Like we
are going to see I if I'm correct, we're going to see the output of that AI thing blind. Like all of us going to go into
blind. Like all of us going to go into it blind. And so I'm excited to see what
it blind. And so I'm excited to see what that will be.
>> Absolutely.
>> I'm also excited from by the fact Hayden that like we're kind of in the middle of like a shift in the industry too. like
we're seeing this live and like the tools that are evolving like isn't it kind of exciting to be like okay so like now we have access to use these tools to craft our story and experiment so it's
it's kind of a a unique experiment that we're witnessing right now so I'm curious to see what I produces >> I had a really interesting conversation on that with uh with April Lynn about Yeah
>> is up >> time is up guys >> I'll hold my opinion okay time is up
We are out of time, guys. How does it feel to be done? [laughter] A lot of lot of stress coming from the human side,
but I How does it feel, guys? How you
how you doing? You good? You okay?
>> Uh, I'm all right. [snorts]
[laughter] >> Oh, man.
>> I knew he was an AI robot.
>> [laughter] >> Make sure you guys export your videos.
I'll put them to the link. Uh we will actually start off showcasing the AI verse AI videos.
>> I have a question.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Go for it. What's your
question?
>> Because I have multiple videos. So which
one like should I pick?
>> Pick your favorite one. See, pick your whichever one you like the best.
Whichever one you think is going to help you win this contest. Um pick pick the one that you think is going to sort out.
But we will to give these guys time to export and upload into the link. We'll
actually look through the AI vers AI videos first. Um, so we can switch to
videos first. Um, so we can switch to Rebecca's screen and then we'll hear some judges discourse regarding the AI
versus AI. So let's move to Rebecca's.
versus AI. So let's move to Rebecca's.
>> I believe we will have Andrew to share the results.
>> All right.
Hayden, I like the uh >> we needed something like >> Okay. Okay.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> Oh. Oh. Am I getting All right.
Someone's running uh their Chrome as an audio uh input and then output and so uh we're getting that echo.
>> Um okay, I think we should be good to go. So Andrew, we're looking at Hey
go. So Andrew, we're looking at Hey Jen's video first. Um is this this is topic number one regarding Coca-Cola or
topic number two?
This I guess we'll find out. I guess
we'll do a blind test. Let's just I say this is It looks like it's topic number one. Let's just play the video here.
one. Let's just play the video here.
>> Everyone's furious and they should be.
Here's why it sucks. This ad feels creepy and fake. An uncanny valley nightmare that completely misses the mark on human creativity. First, it's
soulless. AI can't capture real human creativity, leading to content that lacks genuine emotion and connection.
[music] Second, it kills jobs. Coca-Cola
fired artists for cheap AI, prioritizing cost over the livelihoods of creative professionals. This is corporate greed
professionals. This is corporate greed over people. That's why we're mad. It's
over people. That's why we're mad. It's
a clear message that companies value automation more than human talent. This
is wrong. We must demand real creativity and authenticity from brands, not soulless [music] AI imitations. Like and
share if you're outraged. Let's send a clear message #boycott AI Coke and support human artistry.
>> Wow.
>> Wow. Interesting.
>> Judges.
>> Who's was that? Sorry.
>> This was Hey Jen's video. So this
>> Okay. So these are the AI outputs that >> we're watch Yeah. So we're gonna be watching the AI ones first and this was just this was Hey Jen's version of that
topic. But what did we think about that?
topic. But what did we think about that?
>> Yeah. Should we have each judge to score based on the three dimensions first?
>> Yeah, I think maybe we do that at the end once they've seen every but but maybe just get some initial gut reaction thoughts.
It kind of reminds me of um you know like in a Selling Sunset series where like you're kind of told how to feel when like the music comes in like
something dramatic happens and then it's like I'm frustrated and it's like it doesn't really allow you to think. So
that's my initial thought.
>> Interesting. Interesting.
>> Yeah. Yeah. It felt like it was very um straightforward. it like did the job
straightforward. it like did the job without uh like it executed without emotion >> and like I'm definitely going to dock some points for that before like just
sharing before we get into the scoring.
But I mean it's it's interesting to see like how literal it took the prompt and what it delivered on on on what we saw right there.
>> It it didn't have an opinion.
>> Yeah. that that that's it's it's like why does why did that video need to exist in terms of it and and then of course obviously and then obviously it
didn't uh it didn't cut to any of the AI ad as well. So that was just interesting to see >> um that it but uh but it but it generated and it generated those those
videos like I actually found the robot coming in and taking and taking that I found that funny like in a like a and I kind of agree with John where like it
took it took the prompt a bit too literally and and I and I actually and I actually kind of met but not funny isn't I'm laughing with I was laughing at it.
>> Interesting. Wow. Sounds like out the gate this one might ver I'm curious to see what the score is going to be at the end of this. Uh we have Nvido next.
Let's see if we're able to recover some points here on the Nvidia side.
Cola just fired 45 artists to replace them with five AI specialists and somehow spent the same amount of money.
But here's what's really making people furious. They cut production time from a
furious. They cut production time from a year to a month, destroyed 50 jobs, and their AI head literally said, "The genie is out of the bottle, and you're not putting it back in." [music] Meanwhile,
generating just a thousand AI images creates the same carbon emissions as driving 4 miles, and data centers are gobbling power like never before. The
backlash has been brutal. [music]
Artists called the spot soulless trash.
Creatives demanded boycots and public sentiment plunged from about 24% positive to roughly [music] 10% after the launch. This is year two of
the launch. This is year two of Coca-Cola's AI Christmas disaster. A
repeat of uncanny faces and awkward imagery. Yet, the company doubled down
imagery. Yet, the company doubled down anyway. The real magic tagline at the
anyway. The real magic tagline at the end. Pure corporate gaslighting, trading
end. Pure corporate gaslighting, trading human warmth for hollow pixels. If you
think creativity shouldn't be replaced by algorithms, share this and join the call to protect artists.
Wow.
>> I have to say some part of it was not true, but I have to say it.
>> Well, the most the most human part of that video was the fact that the music was too loud, >> which which which oddly happens way too
often with human editors. So, so it got that part right [laughter] there.
Did you think that Do you guys think that this was better or worse than what you just saw with Hey Jen?
>> Worse. I mean, I I pay attention to the editing as much as the writing because I I think so much of that matters. And
just I was jotting down different words.
Gobling power. Like, you know, it's like it it's almost like, oh, like those are two words that could make sense together, but I think it's like servers are gobbling power. Like it sounds so a
force and then the the ending like join the call to protect artists like [laughter] first of all the irony.
Second of all, it's like after that Black Mirror, like after a 60-second like Black Mirror episode I just saw, it just feels like so ominous that um it's
just something that on paper and and in the different equations may make sense to put um in a video, but when it comes all together,
not hitting. Hm.
not hitting. Hm.
>> Yeah, the lip syncing was off and immediately there's something about the AI voice that just throws me off right away when we were talking about the distrust right away >> and the visuals were not real. Like they
weren't related when they were like when Coca-Cola created this and then it showed like random portraits on a screen of of a robot and I was like this has nothing to do with what is being said.
So it didn't feel like it matched. I
think an interesting realization that I just had is that and and because it had the AI feeling genuinely my eyes glazed over and so it
was like already the video was like done for me like no this is awful. I don't I don't I don't want I don't want any of this information to be inserted into me.
And so it was just like I I didn't actually emotionally engage with it at all. I was just waiting for it to be
all. I was just waiting for it to be over >> and it was and so and and and a lot of that came from just the immediate >> the guy like like like like the
generated video of that guy and the movement of him was just like so AI movement and and was so AI movement and it just like I didn't believe it. Again,
that's the thing like I I immediately didn't believe this video so therefore didn't care for it and I just wanted it to be over.
>> Interesting. Interesting. Wow. Very very
interesting thoughts here. I'm curious
to see what Mirage is going to look like, which is our next video that's up in the lineup. And then before we get into Agent Opus Opus, which hopefully will be uh a little better than what you're seeing here, but this is uh
Mirage's version of the topic number one.
>> Just used AI to do this and the internet is furious. Their latest global ad, not
is furious. Their latest global ad, not made by artists, but by algorithms. People are calling it a slap in the face to human creativity. Here's why. First,
Ko swapped out real filmmakers and illustrators for machinemade content.
That's creative jobs gone. Second,
critics argue these AI models are trained on countless artists work, often without consent or credit. Imagine your
art fueling a billiondoll brand and you get nothing. Third, Ko's whole pitch is
get nothing. Third, Ko's whole pitch is real magic, but now they're selling synthetic stories. Many say it feels
synthetic stories. Many say it feels fake, like being tricked by a deep fake.
Fourth, the timing couldn't be worse. In
a shaky creator economy, this looks like costcutting and trend chasing, not craft. And let's be real, the visuals
craft. And let's be real, the visuals slick but soulless. If you think Coke crossed a line, drop your thoughts below. Should brands ditch real artists?
below. Should brands ditch real artists?
[laughter] >> [gasps] >> What do we think? [laughter]
>> I just the the the thing that I noticed was like um it was trying to recreate like head movement and it overcorrected it and like and and it's a thing that
people make fun of with actors where where it's like when when when they're like when they're trying to perform and like it's coming, the the monster's on its way. like it's it it started like o
its way. like it's it it started like o it started overdoing like the head shaking and so and I found that [laughter] really distracting and then also just I because I'm really good with
pattern recognition it was kind of the same head movement so it was like one two three one two three one two three one two three like it was doing the same
movement it was just like and then it just cut off at the end [laughter] >> oh my gosh >> yeah I Oh sorry go ahead Go ahead, Rebecca. Go ahead.
Rebecca. Go ahead.
>> Okay. Yeah, I do want to call out that I think in a lot of the demo videos created by Mirage, uh, their official channel, you would see B- rolls. Um, in
this sense, it's only a roll, the AI avatar. I actually didn't know, maybe I
avatar. I actually didn't know, maybe I maybe it's user's fault. Maybe I use it wrong, but I've been testing out the product for over a week. I didn't really find any, you know, entrance that allows me to create videos with actual B-roll.
So, that's the reason why you will only see this result. Yeah. Back to you, Kelsey. Thank you. Oh, I was just going
Kelsey. Thank you. Oh, I was just going to say like it it just kind of looked like again some of the pacing like I said before um and some of the word
choices were a little bit odd. For
example, when it was describing the visuals, it said slick but soulless.
>> And the way that it was said was just odd. Like it didn't have an opinion
odd. Like it didn't have an opinion about it. It was just like it was slick
about it. It was just like it was slick but soulless, you know, and it didn't have that kind of intentionality behind what was being said, even though there was no visuals or whatnot.
[clears throat] The whole time I was like looking, I was like, what's what's happening with his face? You know, um, so it kind of threw me off because I
already I knew that it was AI. And um
yeah, again, it's it's you can't really judge too much of the the technical aspects of like B-roll coming in because there was none of that there. Um but
it's still kind of that strange way of pacing delivery. Um and so yeah, it
pacing delivery. Um and so yeah, it would just kind of throw me off >> from the get-go there. Yeah, it
>> it is an interesting commentary about how when there is no B-roll, like you could spot um inconsistencies or or or flaws in in like a talking head. Like
Hayden, I wonder if you um may have picked up on that pattern if there's like B-roll coming in splicing in. So,
I'm glad Rebecca you pointed that out. I
actually thought that the speaking um I think there's a differentiate between like like the speaking of the words and the words themselves. I actually thought the words themselves were much better than the last AI video. I mean, sleeks,
but but soulless, not the best line, but I got to give them I got to give AI a little bit of props for some alliteration there. Uh there's a lot of
alliteration there. Uh there's a lot of words they could have chosen. I I that shows a thoughtfulness that I would have been curious to see more iterations of.
And then real magic versus synthetic stories. I I thought there was some good
stories. I I thought there was some good lines, not delivered well, um but better and and and an improvement upon the last video that we saw. [snorts]
>> Yeah. Very very interesting. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, I mean, it sounds like we're getting a lot of the same themes here with the last sort of three big AI like companies and and rendered videos. Now,
it's the moment of truth. Let's just
see. Let's see if Agent Opus can outperform what we just saw.
>> I have something to say before one shot.
>> Like, I couldn't edit it. Like, I what you have is the prompt and I said enter and that's it.
That was so Rebecca used the same prompt as I did.
>> So then >> yes I did.
>> So then some of the some of the script is the same sometimes.
>> So the real question is was what Ruben just said. Was that a preemptive
just said. Was that a preemptive backtrack like a or was that a hey look how good it is? You know but but that felt >> it felt to me like a preemptive
backtrack. Let's see. Let's let's see.
backtrack. Let's see. Let's let's see.
>> Let's see.
>> Let's see. Let's see. I'm curious. Uh,
let's get Agent Opus on the hot seat.
Coca-Cola just used AI to do this and the internet is furious. Their latest
global ad, not made by artists, but by AI. People are calling it a slap in the
AI. People are calling it a slap in the face to humanity. Here's why. First, Ko
swapped out real filmmakers and illustrators for machine-made content.
That's creative jobs gone. Second,
[snorts] critics argue these AI models train on countless artists work, often without consent or credit. Imagine your art
fueling a billion dollar brand, and you get nothing. Third, Ko's whole pitch is
get nothing. Third, Ko's whole pitch is real magic, but now they're selling synthetic stories. Many say it feels
synthetic stories. Many say it feels fake, like being tricked by a deep fake.
Fourth, the timing couldn't be worse. In
a shaky creator economy, this looks like cost cutting and trend chasing, not craft. And let's be real, the visuals
craft. And let's be real, the visuals slick, but soulless. If you think Coke crossed a line, drop your thoughts below. Should brands ditch real artists
below. Should brands ditch real artists for AI?
>> All right, that was our first look at at Agent Opus, guys. What do we think?
Did I just hear the same line?
>> Yeah, I was gonna >> slick the solus. I think that was in the same I think that was in the same.
>> Yeah. Yeah. No, you
>> the same.
>> Yeah. How did that draw like Yeah. How
did we get that? It's a great question.
Like how did we get that same output?
>> Not like in terms of verbiage.
>> Yeah. I use I use the script generated by agent opus as the input for Mirage because Mirage only um
only only um you know accepts a script rather than >> Got it. Got it. Got it.
>> So I I think a question I want to ask like did do is that trained off the off the watch mojo woman [laughter] like you're like hi welcome to watch
mojo. Today we're going to be doing the
mojo. Today we're going to be doing the top 10 times that Spider-Man did this thing, you know, like that was a Watch Mojo voice. So, or it was like I
Mojo voice. So, or it was like I definitely picked up on that and then so so like it just made me wonder whether if that is actually trained from her
voice whether that was consented um or or legally or legally obtained. But um
but also I got no way to prove that. Uh,
I think a lot of what my experiences were still the same.
Whereas like the moment it felt like an AI video, I just like I I I just part of me just honestly just like immediately rejected it. However, though, I was try
rejected it. However, though, I was try I I moved past that and was trying to look at a lot more objectively. And I
did see what it was trying to do with some of its visuals, which which kind of was like, "Oh, I see that." Such as the one visual that I really did like was
when it got a still of the Coke im the stills of the Coke had and then it scanned across it and then made it like a like like cyberwave sort of style. I
was like, "Oh, that's an interesting idea." But for me that then goes into
idea." But for me that then goes into what actually honestly one of my workflows that I do do which is basically I can have it kind of give me some good ideas but then I'll give that
to a human to then make that properly and so it was like that is that a good way to ideulate visuals and so that was like a good way to get things started and so I was like I it actually came up
with some decentish ideas of visual storytelling but because it's still an AI output it was still looked for me janky as hell.
>> Yeah. Oh, sorry. Go ahead, Kelsey. I see
you unmuted as well.
>> Oh, I mean, I was just kind of nodding.
I didn't say anything yet, but yeah, it's just a lot of again the random stock footage >> of like the board and then the job gone
and you know, it it I think one time it just showed nothing like it was like a zoomed in of of the stock footage. You
didn't know what was happening. And
yeah, >> that would have been funny if it was ironic in the way that you approached it, but it wasn't at all. Um, I was just kind of like, what what what am I kind
of watching, you know? So, um, I would say it's still kind of on par with like all of the others and kind of not feeling like the there's a purpose
behind each visual. And I've experienced this before because I've used um Nvidia before as well and I felt like um I still had to do a lot of refinement
myself afterwards to get what I needed.
>> Yeah, I I I think I think seeing uh the visuals and like like that that AI like scanning one was my favorite as well.
The gone to art. I I I I appreciate the like um attempts at trying to like convey a thought visually, which is not easy. And so to see the beginnings of
easy. And so to see the beginnings of that, I'm excited to see where it goes.
I also thought it was interesting the different interpretations of art through B-roll. Like I I think at one point we
B-roll. Like I I think at one point we saw art or like director and then that was Stephen Spielberg on the set of Jurassic Park.
>> Yeah.
>> And then another one was like um like like a pure like like painting on a canvas or something. Um, and kind of both kind of are like very different than like the art or like the people who
work on a commercial.
>> So, so I think it just goes to like even like uh just like that that level of detail um and and seeing all of this like come together is interesting, but I know it's like first inning and so where
this will go and the infographics and especially as somebody who works on those and knows how long that takes, it's >> it's exciting to see where this could go.
>> Yeah. And and again I I'll I'll explain and not to protect myself. It's um there is an editor on agent opus. I didn't use it but I think it's like the most important part of the of the tool. It's
just that we didn't had enough time.
>> Um the editor you can go frame by frame and if there is hallucination if there is one I can edit it. I can ask for another variation like frame by frame of
or if an idea is just not good or if it tried to do something good as you say John like oh it was an interesting idea to put an actor or or someone or to try
to do like the half half AI not AI um you could like make it even more make more iterations so I couldn't do that it was just a one shot
>> I think the best way to use it is to generate bunch of them like I did then select the one that has the best structure and then go frame by frame and generate multiple of them.
>> Yeah.
>> Um and Hayden, maybe generate your own voice. Yeah, that would be better.
voice. Yeah, that would be better.
[clears throat and laughter] >> Well, well, transparently, I actually already do have my my voice is on 11.
Yeah, but on but but privately. But I
think actually I want to point out something that John said earlier in this stream that I think is a very very key point, which is basically the opening image and like what is the what does the first room do and what does the mis
send? What does that tell me? Everything
send? What does that tell me? Everything
that I need to know about the subject of this video. And with this, it it just it
this video. And with this, it it just it it just like it was in a random corner and then it and then it jump cut to another place and then it jump cut to another thing and then there was not a
singular point of focus. And so already I was like, well, what am I looking at?
And and and then and then and then because of the confusion, I couldn't I didn't hear what it was saying. And
therefore it was like if we weren't primed with the context of this prompt prior to all of this immediate I I would have immediately been like all right this is confusing I'm out. Um and so I didn't get that. But then again I will
say yes it can be edited. It cannot be fixed. But I would I'll be interested to
fixed. But I would I'll be interested to know what was the image that it specifically chose. But whereas
specifically chose. But whereas narratively like if I'm thinking if I'm thinking of myself as an editor, it's like all right, if I'm doing a critique on an AI
generated Coca-Cola ad, I need to choose what is the most offensive image of an AI generated of that AI generated ad >> and and and then and then point that
out. And so it's like I'm thinking of
out. And so it's like I'm thinking of that strategy. So, it's not just, and I
that strategy. So, it's not just, and I see this so often with humans as well, where it's so unless until they get better, which is like cutting to the
B-roll for the sake of B-roll. And I see and I get extremely frustrated with with that with like talking head with like uh with like uh less experienced talking head editors. They just cut to they cut
head editors. They just cut to they cut to like the crap the most crap stock footage ever. But it's like, all right,
footage ever. But it's like, all right, but let's like come on, let's go, let's dive deeper into what is a genuinely the best image to visually storytell this.
And I kind of was feeling that with this as well, where it was just B-roll for the sake of B-roll. Uh, the best example was um it like yeah, it cut it it was smart
enough to cut to finding Steven Spielberg, who as an image of himself, he he is predominantly like the face of directing still to this day. and uh in
terms of like general mass knowledge, >> but then it just cut to a random influencer and then all of a sudden then jump cut to a random different part and then it stayed on it for way too long.
It's like if you're going with that strategy, go to Steven Spielberg and then cut to uh maybe Kaisenat or KSI or Logan Paul or Mr. Beast. It's like you
got to be thinking proactively in that sort of strategy. And it's with all of these things I've seen so far, it is still just B-roll for the sake of
B-roll. And a lot of it still gives me
B-roll. And a lot of it still gives me that cheap stock footage feeling. Just
because you can cut to stock footage doesn't mean it's actually any good. You
need to be telling a good effective story at the same time. And all of them have hit just B-roll for the sake of B-roll right now.
>> Gotcha. Yeah. No, it makes a lot of sense. I mean with that we also you know
sense. I mean with that we also you know like these are a lot of like really interesting points. This is the first
interesting points. This is the first one out the gate. So I'm curious to see how this is going to how you going to see the difference between the human side of things versus Agent Opus and see if we have better stabs with with the AI
there and because they had more selective uh choices when it came to like the ones that they exported. Uh we
want to get the quick voting in for this battle for like AI verse AI and then we'll move in to the human editors against some of the AI like the agent
opus uh exports that we have. So judges,
are you do you have like a score? You
guys kind of good to go on on on voting from again the uh we're going to look at technical quality, we're going to look at creativity and we're going to look at storytelling. Um not sure if you guys
storytelling. Um not sure if you guys are ready. You need more time. It's Hey
are ready. You need more time. It's Hey
Genen. It's versus Hey Genen, Nvidia, Mirage, and Agent Opus.
>> Yeah, that's correct.
>> And we just saw this. This last one was Agent Opus.
>> Last one was Agent Opus. That's correct.
>> And that one was by Ruben. Correct.
>> That is correct. Yeah.
>> Okay. Just making sure.
Okay.
>> I can throw out my votes. So I know we got the three tiers thingamajiggy.
creativity, technical quality, and storytelling. But what I'm actually
storytelling. But what I'm actually going to be doing is I want to throw in an extra element of is this publishable and will this work in terms of uh like
will people engage in this or will this just be like thrown out into the void and then and then and then vanished? And
all of them to me feel like they don't hit any of those things. And so for me honestly all of them are unpublishable and and therefore uh
so the f so the so the first three all of them are at zero out of 10 but because opus agent did have some interesting ideas such as the sc such as the scan line thing and also cutting to
Steven Spielberg that's the only way I can give it two points for that but that's that's that's out of 30 or whatever it is but all the other ones were out out of all The other ones I I
can still I still would consider it unpublishable.
>> So Hayden I will say so out of so is it two points per category or two total?
>> Are we splitting >> Hayden? Are you inventing your own cat?
>> Hayden? Are you inventing your own cat?
Like [laughter] >> come on guys. You know me. I make my own rules.
>> You gave two points.
>> Good criteria.
>> 5.5 like I don't know.
>> Okay. Okay. Creativ creativity. Uh okay.
So, uh, so for for for the for the ones that are not, uh, Agent Opus, like, yeah. Uh, yeah, all of them were pretty
yeah. Uh, yeah, all of them were pretty much a zero out of 10. Like, like
unfixable, I would even say like start from the ground up. Let's start again.
>> Just the show me that criteria one more time. But I think, yeah, technical
time. But I think, yeah, technical creativity storytelling >> correct?
>> Like just the creativity on that sc on on on on turning it into like an AI scan line thingy. That was like that like
line thingy. That was like that like that was creative. And in terms of storytelling that one point for cutting to Steven Spielberg. So yeah, two points
like two points to Agent Opus. That's
>> oh for a total of 30. Yes. Okay. Hayden
will score. [laughter]
Okay. Whoever's on the back end of this give him a raise. This is great.
>> I um I would say that like I gave each one like a I gave them a one for each category. So, three points each.
category. So, three points each.
>> Okay.
>> Out of 30. Um, but I'm not sure. So,
with Opus clip, I heard that there was the editor, right? So, I gave an extra point for that. So, four for Agent Opus.
I don't know if the other ones have an editor as well, but >> editors.
>> Okay. So, then they're all like technically fours, right? Because, you
know, if it's one out of 10, I'm going to rate the lowest one because I didn't connect with any of them. And I think it was actually a a sign when I was confused like which ones have we seen
because they all kind of felt the same.
>> So I was like I I just kind of like it it blurred together a bit because they even some of them use the same language.
Um so I would say I would give all of them a four just because of the categories of a one one and then the addition of the being able to edit and have some refinement. You can I give it
a a four.
>> All right. So as of now, John, before we get to you, Hent Opus is up by two points. So your your vote matters, man.
points. So your your vote matters, man.
So what are we what are we thinking?
>> Okay. So So first off, I I think this uh judging and this conversation already a meta commentary on how like quickly AI moves because I think if you would have
shown a human being like talking in that way a year and a half ago, our minds would be blown that like an avatar is moving that way. So, I I I I want I want to say that we can't forget the
technical side of this and what's been achieved. So, I'm I'm going to give that
achieved. So, I'm I'm going to give that a um it's out of 10. Correct. Each
category.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. So, I I'm going to give each one um like a a a three on that. Like, it's
not like really a a quality u um measure, but it is like a a technical achievement to be able to do that and be able to pick the B-roll. Even though the B-roll selection of a Stephen Spielberg
B-roll versus an artist, like there's room to go there, but it's just fascinating that this is again first inning and this is already where we're at. Um storytelling, I'm going to give
at. Um storytelling, I'm going to give that zero because there's no rhyme or reason to where it was going. Um I did think because Agent Opus a zero for the
first two. I did think because Agent
first two. I did think because Agent Opus um delivered the script that one of the other ones used. And I did think again like some of the uh questions and then the alliteration like there there
there is some um uh like storytelling that that goes into that. I'll give Agent Lopez a one like
that. I'll give Agent Lopez a one like on on that like scripting going into storytelling. Um so yeah, so if you add
storytelling. Um so yeah, so if you add th those all up together uh you know it's it's basically um a a three, a three, and a and a four.
All right. Okay. So, that's the final conclusion. So, pretty much Agent Opus
conclusion. So, pretty much Agent Opus takes the cake by three points. 10
versus seven for the rest of the AI tools, which is not bad. But I know the moment we've all been waiting for. We
want to see the humans versus AI. Let's
get right into it without wasting any time. Let's jump into Sebastian's video
time. Let's jump into Sebastian's video first. We'll start with uh yeah, the
first. We'll start with uh yeah, the Coca-Cola one and then we'll move into topic two after. Um, let's see. Let's
see it.
>> The biggest soda brand on the planet just dropped an AI commercial and the internet tore it apart in minutes. Now,
I study how brands use AI. So, here's
what actually happened. Coke launched an AI powered Christmas ad across 80 countries. And the idea was simple.
countries. And the idea was simple.
Makes live action with AI generated moments to reinvent their holiday storytelling. A lot of those AI shots
storytelling. A lot of those AI shots got major backlash on the internet.
Business Insider pointed out glitches.
NBC covered backlash. And the Wall Street Journal said Coke basically injected AI straight into its iconic holidays are coming spot. And this is a tension every brand faces [music] right now. AI can scale production and speed
now. AI can scale production and speed up global campaigns, but one bad frame can turn a polished ad into a [music] meme. But what do you think of all of
meme. But what do you think of all of this? Is AI ruining creativity?
this? Is AI ruining creativity?
>> Wow. Wow. Okay. Okay, Sebastian. Okay.
Judges, what are we thinking?
>> Initial thoughts. Initial thoughts. Oh,
I think uh the the the difference that I'm feeling is clarity.
There was excellent clarity in that uh in terms of in terms of the storytelling for me felt very very uh quite clear and
was also very uh literal in terms of the B-roll that it chose to show. And so,
and then the tech and then the technical quality for me did feel pretty good in terms of uh it it had some decent style.
So as I said like had the scan line things had the chromatic aberration also kind of like did like the fisheye thingy jiggy um the and then als but also the creativity however though for me felt a
lot there was a lot of cliches that I do see and for me it is the uh the it's the epidemic sound metallic riser just I
it's like I hate that one as much as I hate the vine booms so that metallic riser sound effects needs to be banned from the internet but and so there was
there was some good there was some good technical skills there was some good storytelling but the creativity felt very very cliche to me so but however
though the thing that I got out of that was clarity and also a solid script from Sebastian even and he also pointed out
that he drafted it with chat GPT but he also actually with storytelling gave a really good line which I gives in a discussion where it's like one bad well
like one bad frame could become a meme and that's really really good stakes and conflicts towards it and it's like and it and it shows and that really proved
how fickle and how high risk something AI generated can be where one what one simple mistake one simple thing is
overlooked and the entire thing breaks that's a really good thing to point out And so that was like that that was like
the most clearest I had in understanding AI and what it is today. And so the fact is the fact that I felt already much more emotionally compelled to be talking
about the positive things that they're meant all right that was already an excellent start. What can we do as a as
excellent start. What can we do as a as a creative team to be improving it a little bit more? And one of the first notes would be get rid of the metallic riser. But it was like already there was
riser. But it was like already there was there was already enough for me to work with in giving feedback because the baseline of quality was already there
and that's and so therefore like that was almost publishable almost. But that
but like that but like that was almost publishable >> for sure. For sure. Interesting insight.
Yeah, John, go for it.
>> Yeah, I was going to say I love the comments coming in and the comments being pinned here. Like first of all, let's give it to our guy like Sebastian that did that in an hour >> by the way. Yeah. Yeah. incredible. Um,
I love the sense of of of feeling that this matters in culture and the way you achieve that through a lot of the commentary, the news headlines, like it just felt like I'm watching a video
that's part of the zeitgeist. And I
think that's such an important thing because it's like the number one thing which we I I mentioned earlier that I'd be looking for is like, okay, speak to my BS detector. Like, why why why do I care about this? Why am I going to stop
my scroll? And I felt like you addressed
my scroll? And I felt like you addressed that. I don't know if we want to get
that. I don't know if we want to get into the scoring now or later, but I I I I I thought the thing that could have used more work is like I I I forget what the opening was and maybe that tells you everything you need to know because it
it the question or the prompt or what whatever it was at the start I felt like wasn't as strong as your ending and >> I don't know how many people will get there to see the ending given that. Um
so I would have liked to see a stronger uh first frame and also Sebastian, you're very good at delivery. I would
have liked to see you on camera. If I if I recall, the first frame that you started with was pure graphics.
>> Um I may may be mistaken as as that was like a pretty fast edit, but um I would have liked to see you on there at least as a split screen, which you did later on. Um but yeah, overall really strong
on. Um but yeah, overall really strong and uh and more thoughts I could get into than judging, but yeah, want to keep it concise. Good work.
>> I just wanted to add to that. U so
obviously awesome work, Seb. That was
great. I I think one thing that stood out so clearly here is that the visuals lined up technically with what was being said.
>> And that was the thing that threw me off so much with the AI generated clips is that it just didn't make sense. It was
just randomly like almost felt like clip art, you know, from Microsoft Word coming in. And this was like, you know,
coming in. And this was like, you know, commenting on the visuals from the ad itself and showing it. And you even had a split screen showing what was being
said. And so we had something to look at
said. And so we had something to look at and think about and form an opinion on.
And you even asked at the end, you know, what do you think about it? And that's
creating the conversation online. If
we're talking about social media content, you're trying to create conversation and get engagement on the video. And that was something that was
video. And that was something that was lacking on the AI generated videos. So,
great work, Seb.
>> Great work. Yeah, this is interesting.
We're gonna Yeah, Hayden, go.
>> I was going to say, well, an interesting observation I've had is uh for it it kind of also showcases our
expectations of AI versus human. And so,
we see we see what Sebastian did in terms of like, wow, you did that in an hour. Wow. And then and then we look at
hour. Wow. And then and then we look at AI and it's like oh you did that in an hour. It's like it's it's kind of an
hour. It's like it's it's kind of an interesting comparison where it's like to an extent giving AI an hour. It's like we actually had to an
an hour. It's like we actually had to an extent higher expectations.
>> Uh it was because it had an hour to be doing supposedly so much more but it actually ended up becoming from what we saw an absolute mess. And so it's actually kind of interesting, but like
but then seeing a human do that in an hour it was like was incredibly impressive like and so that's an interesting feeling that I've just noticed in myself.
>> Yeah. No, it's a very very good point.
Um like speaking of getting into the human stuff, Daniel, let's jump into Daniel's video uh for human video.
>> Let's go, Danny boy. All right.
>> Christopher Kringle was the son of Dingle Kringle, a humble toy maker who lived at the North Pole and dreamed of his son following in his footsteps. But
Chris didn't want to make toys. He
wanted to make music. He dreamed of seeing his face on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Chris spent hours
Stone magazine. Chris spent hours working on his demo tapes that he sent off to the local North Pole radio station. But they wouldn't play his
station. But they wouldn't play his music. They said it just didn't sound
music. They said it just didn't sound like Christmas. So Chris came up with a
like Christmas. So Chris came up with a plan. In his village, every Christmas,
plan. In his village, every Christmas, families gathered together to celebrate the birth of Christ. So, Chris decided to sneak into their homes the night before and stick his demo tape into the stockings that they hung by the fireplace to dry. He even changed his
name to something that sounded more magical and mysterious, Santa Claus.
Chris wrapped each of his demo tapes complete with a little wooden toy from his father's shop, and it would work.
Chris began hearing his music played from people's homes everywhere. The name
Santa Claus became synonymous with Christmas, and his music started taking over the world. But with every hero story, there's always a villain. An evil
princess who wanted to ruin Christmas started making music that hurt the ears of every little boy and girl. But that's
a story for another time.
>> Wow. Okay, Daniel. Okay. [laughter]
Me thinking about that. That was
interesting.
>> That was hard. That was hard, man. I'm
looking at all the I'm looking at all the glitches and mistakes in that thing going like, man, >> you know, my my layout was pretty simple. All I did was, you know, cut to
simple. All I did was, you know, cut to the audio and then put the over, you know, images over it. But, you know, how hard it is to get anything right >> in in an hour. That was crazy. You guys,
I love listening to Hayden rip everyone apart. But, man, that was like I've
apart. But, man, that was like I've never had so much pressure on me ever in my whole life. And I've and I'm a father. [laughter]
father. [laughter] >> Wow.
>> Yeah. So, uh, for me, yeah, I think the Yeah, definitely there definitely was a bunch of dead frames and rand and and random like, uh, like one frame glitches here and there, but again, it was but I
still had that feeling of impressive that that was something that was drafted in an hour. Um, and then um, and then again, we still had, [clears throat] sorry, [cough] excuse me, we still had
some of those sort of AI generated images, but I could tell that a human element was put back in, such as like um, because like in terms of making jokes with the images, such as uh,
putting him on a Rolling Stones cover like it was like that's a to an extent I would imagine that as a human thinking of the joke and then you would prompt AI to then give you that output or you
jumped into Photoshop to do that like I felt that I felt that sort of human ideiation thinking.
>> Um, and then what else did I like about I think for me I def my attention definitely faded halfway through where I didn't I didn't I didn't feel a decent progression of the story but then I
think and then but then picked back up near towards the end and so I would have scrolled off. Yunagi Attack really hates
scrolled off. Yunagi Attack really hates me. It's really funny. Um it it's um but
me. It's really funny. Um it it's um but then uh so I think uh and then also like an interesting it was a slowish start as
well with that title card. But yeah,
like again impressed that that was done in an hour and and and uh so yeah, there was a lot I liked about it. But I will say unfortunately it's not publishable.
But for that to be done in an hour like great. Yeah, we can spend the rest of
great. Yeah, we can spend the rest of the day on that and then they'll be publishable.
>> Totally. Kelsey, what do you think?
Yeah, I would say, you know, obviously Dan, great setup and telling the story and I and you and you did you choose a different prompt. Is that what I
different prompt. Is that what I understood from the others about the story of Santa Claus? Is that how it worked? Okay. Um, yeah, I really I think
worked? Okay. Um, yeah, I really I think some of the images if you had more time, you could have brought in a little bit more imagery in there to tell the story.
I did get a little bit lost at one moment with um the part when he left the the present there and maybe honing in on that a little bit more in the beginning or setting it up a little bit better, I
would have understood it a little bit more. But overall, like I liked the it
more. But overall, like I liked the it was a cohesive vibe. So, it was consistent technically throughout. Just
a little bit more work as Hayden said to get it to that publishing point. Um, but
I wasn't like a random thing came in that I was unexpected or anything like that. It felt consistent. Um, and I got
that. It felt consistent. Um, and I got the vibe. Just a bit more work there.
the vibe. Just a bit more work there.
>> Right on.
>> Yeah. I I I I wanted to just say, Dan, just knowing your content and getting to know you, I feel like anytime you put your spin on, it's always going to be fun. And I felt like I was having fun
fun. And I felt like I was having fun like watching that and just seeing your your your take on it. Um, and uh, yeah, it was interesting to see like you going
all in with the costume again. I I gotta give a lot of props to that. Um, I
thought it was interesting and maybe this is a takeaway for all the folks in the audience as well that usually your your beginning and your better intro is in your ending because I thought that you left us with a question with like
and that's a story for another time about how Mariah Carey took over, but it would have been interesting like here's like like the Mariah Carey before Mariah Care like something to like bring in
that name and that cultural relevance of people who know Mariah Carey versus I I thought that here's the real story of Santa Claus or Chris Kringle, however opened immediately people are going to go why do I care you know even if it's a
bit of a joke and this told tongue and cheek like I I felt like if there's something about Mariah Carey given the topical nature of that and and her song being so relevant right now it would
have hit even harder but uh but overall I I I really see the effort behind it especially within an hour and I can share more thoughts when we get into scoring but good job >> yeah judges get your scorecards ready we
have one more video to get through which is Dan's video the other Dan um and a reminder for the audience guys make you cast your vote on who you think is going to win because again after this we're going to be pulling out the 5K winner
pretty soon. So make sure you get that
pretty soon. So make sure you get that ready. The QR code will be on the top
ready. The QR code will be on the top right screen. Um and and it's also going
right screen. Um and and it's also going to be pinned in the YouTube live stream as well. Dan,
as well. Dan, >> I'm sweating, dude.
>> It is time.
It is time. And and as a reminder, guys, Dan again, Dan was team uh AI, so he's using agent opus.
This Santa tradition will blow your mind. Everyone thinks Santa comes from
mind. Everyone thinks Santa comes from the North Pole, right? Wrong. The real
Santa actually sails from Spain every November with a crew of helpers. Meet
Cintclass, the original Santa from the Netherlands. He doesn't sneak down
Netherlands. He doesn't sneak down chimneys. He literally arrives by
chimneys. He literally arrives by steamboat from Spain with his helpers and kids leave their shoes out instead of hanging stockings. But here's where it gets crazy. In Russia, their Santa is
called Dead Moras, and he doesn't come at Christmas. He shows up on New Year's
at Christmas. He shows up on New Year's Eve with his granddaughter, and instead of elves, she helps him deliver presents. And in Italy, forget Santa
presents. And in Italy, forget Santa entirely. They have Labana, a witch who
entirely. They have Labana, a witch who flies on a broomstick and fills stockings on January 6th. Here's what's
wild. Every culture basically took the same idea and made it their own. Same
winter magic, completely different story. Your Santa tradition isn't
story. Your Santa tradition isn't universal. It's uniquely yours. What
universal. It's uniquely yours. What
Santa tradition did you grow up with?
Comment below. I bet it's different from mine.
>> Interesting. Very interesting. Center
class. Nice uh Netherlands reference.
This is great.
>> Yeah. I wanted to teach you guys a bit of uh Dutch history as well.
>> Honestly, the pacing, Dan, was great.
like I it did feel like you were an elf telling me a story a little bit there compared to the other uh AI generations.
I was impressed by that outfit. Like I I was like, "Oh, it's, you know, it's in sync compared to some of the other ones.
It felt a little bit softer of a pacing, right? It gave some time for breathing
right? It gave some time for breathing throughout, which was interesting to learn. And I did learn a few things in
learn. And I did learn a few things in that.
>> Awesome. I I think that comes down to my like my voice sample that I gave it.
Like I I don't talk that fast. So it
used my voice sample. And by the way, I'm also curious like does it sound like me or did you find it that it gave me an accent or did you find like from that one minute sample that I gave it that it
sounded decently or >> not that great? Like I I felt the AI voice, but I also felt you in it. Uh
which is what which is like 11 Labs does the same thing for me in my voice. Like
it has the AI twinge, but but it actually gets my voice 75% there. Uh I I would say actually this this was this
was the best output that I have seen of an AI video so far. And and then and then a lot of it was also just the fact that it was cutting to you as a person and knowing knowing that you do exist
unless they do reveal at some point that you have been an AI avatar this whole time. But like because it because you
time. But like because it because you were there and it was you and I know that you exist like it actually had a lot more to work with and and um but you
it it it still has that same issue that I'm seeing where it was moving you around but yet you were really stiff. Uh like I'm seeing that with a lot of these things like
remember like the head bopping thing.
It's like it's trying too hard to mimic human movement but then doesn't move the rest of the body. And so I still felt the AI feeling towards it. But actually
because it act but because it did have what I'm now beginning to see and realize now is actually since it had a lot more of you to work with.
It actually was a lot more confident in what it outputed. And that was an interesting thing for me to notice in that one. And again, I I I will still
that one. And again, I I I will still would like to fact check a lot of it, but uh that was still pretty that was the best output that I have seen from uh
any of the AI things, but and I do believe it's because I had the best human >> the most amount of human input to begin with.
>> Wow.
>> I will expect that.
>> Yeah, just looking through the comments like I see uh Roselle Perkins said, "I like the layout and split screens." And
I think that speaks so much to how formatting can help because just thinking about what we've seen so far, we've seen an AI avatar full screen.
>> We're beginning to pick up on patterns and inconsistencies and that starts to feel fake. we've seen full screen on the
feel fake. we've seen full screen on the other side of the spectrum of just B-roll going through in graphics and a lot of folks have uh like pointed out the you know the the shortcomings of that but then here we have a split
screen for the majority of the video and it it's almost a balance of like hey there's enough to look at without finding the inconsistencies that may appear if one of those was full screen.
So I just I I thought that was interesting. I have notes I I I know we
interesting. I have notes I I I know we want to keep on time here that I'll share in the judging category but want to share the overall thought and say good job.
>> Nice. Yeah, that was that was really awesome. And as a reminder, guys, we're
awesome. And as a reminder, guys, we're going to be judging off of creativity, technical quality, storytelling, and Hayden's add-on. Is it publishable?
Hayden's add-on. Is it publishable?
Which is bonus category just for Hayden.
Um judges, how are we feeling? Are we
ready to give some scoring?
>> Yep.
>> Just another 10 seconds.
>> Another 10 seconds. Another 10 seconds.
>> Okay. Well, these guys were professional reading it down, writing it down. I'm
just just going by just feeling uh show show me that criteria again.
>> I think creativity creativity in terms of narrative [laughter] >> storytelling. Let's start with
>> storytelling. Let's start with Sebastian's video first. Um and then we'll go to Daniels and then Dan. So
let's start with Sebastian.
>> Okay. Uh I think I already said was saying it earlier. So like creativity uh I think was limiting because it hit a lot of cliches but technical quality I
did find. So creativity will I give that
did find. So creativity will I give that uh a five out of 10. Technical quality
again excellent execution on on on all of it. I would give that uh eight out of
of it. I would give that uh eight out of 10. Storytelling
10. Storytelling um I would I would give that also an eight out of 10. And publishable like if we if if we were in a rush and that was what we had and that's what we had time
for. Yes, I I would consider it
for. Yes, I I would consider it publishable.
>> Wow. Wait, [laughter]
is this supposed to Sebastian?
>> I guess it's okay. [laughter]
>> That's what I just heard.
>> Oh, man.
>> All right, I'm giving you a 23 overall. I'm giving
you a nine for technical quality. I
thought that was excellent, especially within an hour. I love the match cuts. I
love the the the graphics you brought in. I that that just the little details
in. I that that just the little details of like when you were pointing out the inconsistencies in the AI with that article, you had that like red box like pop in like draws my eye and my attention. I give that a nine. I thought
attention. I give that a nine. I thought
the storytelling I gave it a seven. I
thought where again I I like you made me care. I I like that you showed it was in
care. I I like that you showed it was in the zeitgeist. Um, I just would have
the zeitgeist. Um, I just would have like like I I think with that um it would have been interesting if you could have brought in like like the most obvious example right now is like Coke
versus Apple in terms of Coke using AI and Apple going through that painstakingly um long process of having their new Apple TV logo made by hand. Um
and I would just would have loved to see a point of contrast to tell me that story in an interesting way. um and and just speak to it in in the context, not just uh how it happened. And creativity,
I I I think like this is hard to do within an hour, especially with talking head, but I wish you would have like maybe switched context or like we we could have like we were in your studio or you know, we we then we were outside.
I know that's very hard to do and switching context while adding in all these graphics. Um but if somehow you
these graphics. Um but if somehow you found a way to do that, I would have given more scores, but still high marks all around. 977 for a total of 23.
all around. 977 for a total of 23.
>> Right on.
All right, Kelsey, let's hear it.
Unmuting here. And we're just scoring subs right now. Correct.
>> Correct. Just
>> Okay. Um for uh again the I did agree with Hayden a bit about, you know, the storytelling um kind of falling down a
little bit of kind of the same themes as some of the other videos. So, but it still was well uh executed. So, I gave
it an eight. Uh, for creative, I gave it um well, sorry, switch that around. Your
storytelling is great. The the cliche of it falling down that same sort of um creative that the other AI tools did, I gave it a six for creative. And then for
technical, I gave it a nine cuz I knew that you could have improved it a little bit more, but it was almost like a full 10 for me. Um I felt like you you really know what you're doing. You know, the
quality of the video was great. um the
way that you can match cut, you know what you're doing. So, I would have given you more on creative like John was saying if you you know maybe changed it up a little bit more in the locations, but really really good. You should be
proud.
>> Okay. Right on. And we'll reveal the the the final scores at the end. Um but
let's go to Daniel's score. Uh again,
Daniel was on the human editing side of things. Uh we will kind of go down the
things. Uh we will kind of go down the horn one more time. So Hayden, we can start with you on your criteria.
There we go. For Daniel, I think creativity in terms of for of it of telling the story. I did like I did like that. And like such as the moments of
that. And like such as the moments of the him in the Rolling Stones technical quality.
I I I think I also want to bring back the the thing that I mentioned earlier where and I guess it also kind of goes with the storytelling is that the fact that just Daniel's shot just had that 3D
feel to it, you know, like like I it was just that just was because of the lighting and the framing and even just with the set design, it was just like that looked real and I liked that. And
so I think like that's actually a huge thing in technical quality storytelling.
I think it could have had better clarity.
um better clarity and I did feel the pacing slow down in the middle of it but and then and then of course still needed more time to be publishable but I would still give that like that that all of
that can be fixed and all of that can be worked on on on and so it's not publishable but I would still give that a 15 out of 30
>> gotcha >> it's not publishable but I give that an >> [laughter] >> But it can be publishable. That's what I mean. I saw the potential for it to be
mean. I saw the potential for it to be publishable.
>> Yeah.
>> Was it because of the AI images?
>> The it's >> I think the AI images like uh Yeah. But
like but then he was trying to add in animations on top of it and so like it just it just with more time it would have been publishable. And so I saw the potential for it rather than like >> you said what you said. You said what
you said.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. [laughter]
>> All right, John. What do we think, man?
>> I'm messing with you. I don't know if I'm roasting the contestants or just Hayden, but uh [laughter] we we've been we've been both been trying to be like the ultimate roasters, and so I've been loving this competition.
>> No, no, no. You You win there. You win.
I um Okay. So, so going through uh Daniel,
um Okay. So, so going through uh Daniel, I'm giving you a six for technical quality, a five for storytelling, and a uh seven for creativity. I wanted to break down those very quickly and then um give the mic to Kelsey. Technical
quality. I I got to give you a lot of props for um your production, not just your post-production. Like I thought the
your post-production. Like I thought the way you set up that shot to the um point of Hayden about the 3D depth like I I thought that that was great and that's not easy to do and having your own studio and your thoughtful like that
that shot looked great. Um the
storytelling again like I mentioned like the um like like uh do people care about the real story of this version of Chris Kringle? Um, and is there like a reason
Kringle? Um, and is there like a reason like almost like Sebastian brought in the cultural relevance and the zeicist and even though you went down a different path and with the different prompts, I thought there was more potential there if you made Mariah Carey
more of the antagonist in the storyline, which is why I only gave it a five. Um,
creativity, I thought seven. Like I give a lot of props for you like busting out the Santa outfit. I I I don't Did you Did you buy it for this or did you have it in your closet?
>> No, I actually do own a Santa out. Okay,
>> I'm still I'm still wearing the pants right now. I didn't have time to take
right now. I didn't have time to take them off.
>> Okay, thank you for that extra information. Um, well, anyways, yeah, I
information. Um, well, anyways, yeah, I thought that that that you went all out.
I I I don't I was I was about to say maybe I was about to give an extra point if you said you went out and bought that, but but you know, like you having it and >> I absolutely went out and bought the outfit specifically [laughter] for this year.
>> All right, let's give my man like another point there. So, I think I think 19 overall for uh for Mr. Daniel Claus.
Perfect. [laughter] That's awesome. All
right, Kelsey, what are we thinking?
>> All right, Mr. Daniel, Santa Claus. Uh,
so again, like the the storytelling, I agree with John. I gave you a five there. You could have workshopped it a
there. You could have workshopped it a little bit more with a a bit more time.
Uh for the creative, obviously going out of your way getting the the backdrop, the the suit, and then thinking about the different story ele elements that
you included and generated and created.
I gave you a seven. I felt like you could have added a little bit more there, but technically you also got a seven. Uh you had um the shots were well
seven. Uh you had um the shots were well shot. You added some Ken Burns effect
shot. You added some Ken Burns effect with movement. you went in and I really
with movement. you went in and I really saw that you were paying attention to the lighting, making sure everything was cohesive. Um, just a little bit more
cohesive. Um, just a little bit more time you could have workshopped it again and then as Hayden said, you it could have been publishable in my opinion with
a little bit more work.
>> Right on. Okay. All right, Daniel, nice job. Nice job to the humans. Uh, now
job. Nice job to the humans. Uh, now
let's get into Dan Ke's video again. Dan
was part of the agent opus team. He was
on a team AI. Let's get into that scoring. So, we'll start with you,
scoring. So, we'll start with you, Hayden. I have a feeling I know where
Hayden. I have a feeling I know where this is going.
Yeah, I want to really relate that was the strongest output that I have AI output that I've seen in this video in in this live stream. And so, I really do want to commend on that one. That that
was the most uh impressive. And like
yeah, you can uh be careful on how you quote me on that. Keep the context. But
yes, that is that was impressive.
>> I'm going to clip this.
>> But um so but then with the criteria, I think the technical aspect was again was impressive because of simply it had you
as you as the voice and as and as the performer and so it was impressive for that to be have a m have a level of consistency towards it. Um the
storytelling I would say again the it hit a couple really cliche lines you know I had them written down. It was like it was like
written down. It was like it was like this thing will blow your mind and so my meter was going ding ding ding ding ding and so that was losing marks for that and then also it was like you
think this wrong. It's like ah just so cheap. So, it does lose a lot of marks
cheap. So, it does lose a lot of marks on that, but the but the idea of informing me of different uh variations
of the uh Santa Claus is a good was a good concept. And so, I'm glad that it
good concept. And so, I'm glad that it actually did that pretty well. So,
like in terms of all of them, I've been giving all the AI outputs more or less like zero out zero out of 30. this one
since because of those human inputs that it had to work with, I would give that one a 7 out of 30. So like that one had potential. And so like that as I said,
potential. And so like that as I said, so that was the that one had potential.
That was the most impressive. But but
again, you got to keep the context on that one. If you take me out of context
that one. If you take me out of context and put that on your website, I will riot. But it was like but and so yeah,
riot. But it was like but and so yeah, that that that was the strongest output for me. Uh, and so yeah, like that was I
for me. Uh, and so yeah, like that was I think I'm I'm rambling now, but yeah, that that's that those are my that's my points for that one.
>> All right, seven out of 30. Okay, it's
progress. We're making our way. I think
we're warming up to >> Yeah.
>> So that means it's publishable, right?
>> If it had music, if it had music and then what I would actually would do is I would have you actually go film what it did. So I so therefore you would so like
did. So I so therefore you would so like it presented to you a draft >> and then I want you to then go actually make it >> and then and then and then with the music and everything and then that would
have been publishable.
>> Gotcha.
>> I like that idea. Yeah.
>> All right, John, let's hear it, man.
>> All right, so I'm giving a uh uh a six four and three. Um so total of 13. Six
for technical quality. I thought this was the best output from AI. Still not
great uh compared to what we've seen from the uh team human, but I again I thought the way you format things matters a lot. And the fact that it was split screen, I felt like that allowed
us to follow two story lines and not see the inconsistencies and the shortcomings of one of them uh compared to the other AI output. But still a six. Not great,
AI output. But still a six. Not great,
but not bad. Not bad. Um, uh,
storytelling. I give that a four because I felt like, uh, just again, that's why I harped so much in the beginning of this on the intros, the first frames, and the hooks. Like I I I would have loved to like see like like a opening
line of did you know there's a real life Santa Claus who um travels on a yacht instead of a with reindeer or something like that. Like I felt like that most
like that. Like I felt like that most interesting point came at the seven to 8 second mark, not the zero to one second mark. Um, so I would have liked to see
mark. Um, so I would have liked to see better storytelling there. And then
creativity again, it was just I I gave that a three because it's just sharing facts and it wasn't sharing an interesting way. I did see think some of
interesting way. I did see think some of the facts were interesting though, like I didn't know all the different derivations of Santa Claus in the different cultures and the way that they showed up and and they did in your video, assuming it's all fact checked.
Um, but it wasn't wrapped and told in in a way that just like really spoke to me.
So I I give that a three for a total of 13.
>> Awesome. Thank you. If I can add to that Sin is >> my decision for choosing this video over the other videos that I did where I had one where I did the storytelling myself.
I wrote like the entire script myself uh that had more of that going into that hook that you're looking for John. But
then like I had to make the decision between like the visuals or the script and like on the other video the visuals weren't that great. So I had to go for this one. But ideally, if you have more
this one. But ideally, if you have more time, I would just take this video and do kind of like what Hayden said as well. Like then you iron it out, improve
well. Like then you iron it out, improve it and >> yeah, >> like use it as the inspiration.
>> I think that's where we're at right now.
>> Yeah, that makes sense.
>> What what what what would be exciting for me? Because again, I do use AI to
for me? Because again, I do use AI to help me ideate thumbnails, but in and so like I come up with a bunch of composition ideas. It it presents a
composition ideas. It it presents a bunch to me. I, oh yeah, that's good.
And then I then give it to my thumbnail designer and then I go and create all of the assets myself and then off he goes.
And I think with the way that you workshopped it, it was like, hm, let me let me test this video idea, have it have it, run it, you go make a cup of tea or whatever, you come back and it was like, actually, yeah, that is a
solid idea. All right, now let me go
solid idea. All right, now let me go make it. And it's like that as an
make it. And it's like that as an ideiating process >> is interesting. And so it's not an output, but it's part of the process of like, hey, is this going to be is this
worth my time? Uh, and then and then and then being presented with a bunch of different options. And so like that that
different options. And so like that that as a tool excites me.
>> Uh that so like in terms of being part of my brainstorming process and seeing if it's worth my time.
>> Totally. Totally.
>> All right, Kelsey, let's take us home.
>> Get my score in there for you, Dan. I
just gave you fives across the board, which is a huge improvement because we were pretty brutal before. And actually,
like I'm like I thought that I was going to be the Paula Abdul character in this and be a little bit more gentle. And you
know, I think if I had frame.io where I which is what I use to like go frame by frame, I could have maybe maybe given a bit more scores before to some of the AI for some of the technical part cuz I
just couldn't remember exactly some of the stuff. But I give you fives because
the stuff. But I give you fives because I felt like a I learned something. There
could have been a bit more improvement to the technical there and creatively I just felt like if you if you wrote the script as I did you write like make
tweaks is that what I understood Dan?
>> I did I honestly don't know on this one.
I might have made a few minor tweaks on each of them but not too big on this one. Okay. I just I always appreciate
one. Okay. I just I always appreciate and that's what hooks me in when I'm like learning something. So, I felt like that was what made me give you fives
instead of fours for this component.
>> Yeah.
>> Honestly, good work. Impressive.
>> Impressive. Impressive all around. I'm
sure we're all dying to hear who won this. [laughter]
this. [laughter] Humans or AI by a landslide human with a total score of 12 points compared to a
agent opus with 45 points. Humans take
the lead for the top position here.
Congrat saying that. [laughter]
saying that. [laughter] >> I know. I'm just like But you know what?
Congratulations to both sides. Before we
get into sort of our final remarks, I do want to mention that we still have $5,000 that we're giving away and we're going to give it away right now. So, on
our end, are we ready to draw the 5K winner?
All right, I guess we are ready. Can we
get a drum? I think we need a drum roll.
>> This is huge. Let's do it.
>> This is huge. This is the is the holidays. [laughter]
holidays. [laughter] >> Big.
>> All right.
Are we Let's get a drum roll or [laughter] two.
Uh Oh, man.
And if and whoever wins it gonna be uh >> you know you can always I'll send my Venmo later. Just
Venmo later. Just >> you go. The chat's going crazy.
[laughter] >> Oh, the chat's going nuts.
>> The chat's going crazy right now. Six
seconds.
>> Five. Four.
>> Four. Three.
>> Two. One.
[laughter] >> Just Andrew. Just Andrew. Just Andrew.
Congratulations to Andrew. Obviously, we have your
to Andrew. Obviously, we have your email. We chose from the winning
email. We chose from the winning category by the way. So, the humans uh whoever voted for the humans is what we chose um the winner from. So,
congratulations Andrew. The team will be in contact with you shortly. Um and
guys, yeah. Well, this is this is awesome, man. Well, you know, again, you
awesome, man. Well, you know, again, you know, one thing to say before we end here, right? Whether you are into the AI
here, right? Whether you are into the AI creation world or the human creation world, one thing's for a fact, creators right now are about to be supercharged with tools like AI, right? Agent Opus
isn't really about replacing the creativity, but it's more so accelerating it, right? And here at Opus, we really want to prioritize and make sure that we're able to encourage people, whether you're a creator,
whether you're a business, to succeed in whatever way possible. Um, that said, Agent Opus right now is available to the public. Literally right now when you
public. Literally right now when you leave this live stream, you can go to Agent Opus. You can give it a spin
Agent Opus. You can give it a spin yourself and let us know what you think.
Um, and that and you know, for those of you who won some of the credits, feel free to use them. A lot all the videos that you saw today, plus ones that you might not have seen, will be published
on our social media as well as our website. Uh, and that's it. judges,
website. Uh, and that's it. judges,
contestants, any final remarks, any thoughts before we end?
>> I I think just this was such a gamble for you guys and and I will genuinely throw utmost respect on that and it's like like inviting us all
knowing all of our opinions on AI and everything like that. It's like I genuinely have like that's that confidence is is very commendable and so I've really enjoyed it and and again and
I really appreciate you guys just like letting me just be a dick and so thank you for like [laughter] and about about everything and so I really appreciate that and this was really fun. Thank you
guys.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Thank thanks for creating this. I mean it's I I I think this is a
this. I mean it's I I I think this is a moment in time and it'll be interesting if we run it back in a year.
>> Yeah. and we'll we'll like they'll be totally different um results I think and uh who knows who who would win that one but it's really interesting to just see
this um as a moment in time and uh yeah how far there is still to go but how far we've come and just it was a pleasure uh judging with you uh Kelty and Hayden and thanks Opus and Sachin great job hosting
and shout out to all the contestants for grinding away um with the hour that you had to show us what you did and just put your hearts on the line there. So, thank
you guys.
>> Yeah, it was a really great idea to show the process, right? Because I think a lot of people when they comment on these tools, they've never gone through the process before. And this was in a time
process before. And this was in a time constraint. So although we were brutal
constraint. So although we were brutal here on a lot of these AI outputs, remember that like you should spend time on your projects, you know, you shouldn't give yourself like I only have
one hour to make this, you know. So this
is just it's going to be interesting to see what can be done in an hour as John said in a year from now. But we also have to remember that we you you guys should spend time on your projects and what you can create in one hour could be
just the start. So, I think I think it's so cool that you guys even implemented this just to show what people can make right now.
>> Absolutely.
>> Yeah, guys, there'll definitely be more.
Um, but for now, I think we'll wrap it up here. Thank you guys so much. Thank
up here. Thank you guys so much. Thank
you to the judges and contestants for being a part of this, and we'll see you guys on the next one.
>> Take care, guys. Thank you.
Bye. Bye.
