Hey, what's going on, Virgin Gang? Hope

you're doing well. I'm doing pretty good. Let's rap for a little bit about

good. Let's rap for a little bit about Pokemon card hype. Happy December. Hope

your holiday season's go well, and hopefully you guys are cracking open some packs, getting some good stuff and getting those sweet pulls that everyone's wanting to get. Let's take a second and talk about Pokemon card hype,

like I said, and all different ways that it kind of manifests itself, especially with all the new impressionable faces walking in here. There's new people walking in here every day. There's going

to be new people walking in next year.

The 30th anniversary is around the corner. Pokémon is all appealing, all

corner. Pokémon is all appealing, all enticing, drawing all different types of people in here. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it comes at different costs in different ways. And you're going to exhibit and see a lot of different

things, how people really shape who they are in this space. There's lots of different ways to enjoy Pokemon. You

know, you got your collectors, you got your players, you got your casuals, you got your hardcores, you got people coming straight in here looking to make a dollar off this place. Flippers,

resellers, all all types of people that walk in here. Not necessarily anything wrong with a good chunk of them. And

people generally are allowed to do what they wish here. People also talk about cards very differently, too. And people

have different goals for what they do with things. You're going to see people

with things. You're going to see people talk about and be drawn to very specific art styles, cards, Pokemon. Nothing

inherently wrong with that once again, but people will push their opinions out there in the age of content creation, Pokemon space. It's never been easier to

Pokemon space. It's never been easier to get your opinion out there. Never been

more interesting time to talk about Pokemon cards. You couldn't get this

Pokemon cards. You couldn't get this type audience. you couldn't get people

type audience. you couldn't get people to listen to you about Pokemon cards two [ __ ] years ago, but here we are talking about Pokemon cards. One of the things I've seen kind of come around.

I've been here a while. I've seen

different types of hype before. I've

seen people literally shill all different types of Pokemon cards in an attempt to see what sticks. Usually,

it's for monetary gain. A lot of times it's for monetary gain to hop on a hype and to sell people something. People

nowadays, I have noticed, are trying to sell a previously popular topic to the newcomers here once again. And I find it very funny that this is it's the case.

This is the case for this whole thing, right? Pokemon cards and the people who

right? Pokemon cards and the people who illustrate them. That's right. The

illustrate them. That's right. The

Pokemon card artist grift is popping back up once again. Now, let me start off by saying this. There is definitely people who appreciate the Pokemon artists. There's definitely people who

artists. There's definitely people who like specific artists and collect the cards they get. There's specific people that are genuine about this whole matter. There are people that exist. And

matter. There are people that exist. And

if you are one of those people, good for you. I'm very happy you find solace in

you. I'm very happy you find solace in you being one of those people. There is

a lot of people here who do not give a [ __ ] who drew the card, but they will tell you they care who drew the card.

And this card is expensive because this artist drew it. One of the very popular ones floating around right this second is going to be Shinji. Another one

that's really popular floating around right now is going to be Usagi Man.

Another really popular one that's really gaining traction lately is going to be Akira Agawa. There's a ton of different

Akira Agawa. There's a ton of different ones right this second that are really being pushed front and forward. We have

a bunch of new popular artists that are showing up too. Rend, that's a really popular one. People are kind of going

popular one. People are kind of going to. I like a lot of Ren's new stuff.

to. I like a lot of Ren's new stuff.

They actually drew the Ns alternate art one. The one in front of the Ferris

one. The one in front of the Ferris wheel. Yeah, you know, good stuff right

wheel. Yeah, you know, good stuff right there. I I I do it. I appreciate the

there. I I I do it. I appreciate the artists. I like the different stuff

artists. I like the different stuff they're doing. People are kind of

they're doing. People are kind of pushing this financially though and saying that a lot of these cards are going to be top tier investments or pickups in the future for what Pokemon

cards are going to be. Now, what's the problem with this opasum? Why is this a big deal? Well, I'm telling you this

big deal? Well, I'm telling you this because the vast majority of people here absolutely do not care and this will be rugpulled the first chance they get and no one cares about anymore. Say a year

passes, two years pass and no one cares about a specific artist anymore. Do I

think certain artists like Shinji could stand the test of time a little bit longer than others? Absolutely. However,

I've seen this before. I've seen people do this exact same thing with a specific type of card nobody likes. Yes, I'm

going to hop on this [ __ ] dead horse one more time. Full art supporters, brother. This video right here, and I

brother. This video right here, and I plug this video once or twice a year easily. This video right here shows

easily. This video right here shows everything that is currently happening with specific artists and how people pump specific styles of cards in the hopes of them getting traction, getting

popular, people latching on to something and people being the first to hop onto a trend and grab it while it's early. Get

get those cards for sale, right? Full

art supporters. Previous to 2021, people did not care. Very specific ones were popular. Very specific popular

popular. Very specific popular characters were good, but that was generally it. Other than that, you can

generally it. Other than that, you can get the exclusive ones from Japan. The

language exclusive ones didn't come out in English. You had those ones, but even

in English. You had those ones, but even that didn't really draw a crazy price point for anything. It wasn't until 2021 where the Japanese Pokemon card boom and the full art trainer boom specifically happened, mostly in Japanese, took

place. They kind of did latch on a

place. They kind of did latch on a little bit English. And people pushed artists. The artists was the big one for

artists. The artists was the big one for why this was actually going full force.

There was the exclusives, of course, but the exclusives were narrowed to one key name. And the people that have been

name. And the people that have been around this channel already know what the [ __ ] I'm about to say. Naoki Seyto,

baby. Naoki Seyto drew all these very popular Pokemon cards. Drew Lily drew [ __ ] all these different popular cards that people literally latched on to. They were like, "Oh, it's an Naoki

to. They were like, "Oh, it's an Naoki Seyto card. It's going to be good."

Seyto card. It's going to be good."

Sightseer, that was another popular one that people really latched on to for the sake of getting that going. There are

several different artists that drew trainers, but very specific ones were the ones that caught [ __ ] popularity.

Naoki Seaitto did not exclusively draw female trainers. Also drew some male

female trainers. Also drew some male ones, too. The Brock, the actual Brock's

ones, too. The Brock, the actual Brock's Grit from Sun and Moon. Yeah, Naoki

Seaito drew that. Uh, Hala. Pretty sure

Naoki Seaito drew that one, too. This

artist grift was a very funny thing to watch because people pushed this. They

pushed it hard to the core that Naoki Seaito cards were going to be top tier forever. They were going to be top tier

forever. They were going to be top tier going forward foremost. It's going to be the big thing. It's going to be all the rage. The first time I saw this crack,

rage. The first time I saw this crack, the first time I saw that people did not give two [ __ ] about the artist other than knowing that the full art trainer thing was a complete sham and an absolute lie. People were literally just

absolute lie. People were literally just hopping on it trying to get first on the the full art boom. You know this card right here? You see this one right here?

right here? You see this one right here?

You see Mewan friends right here?

Insanely cheap card. Insanely cheap for what other cards that are like it are going for. Especially when Fusion Strike

going for. Especially when Fusion Strike and Fusion Arts came out. This card was cheap. Mew and friends drawn by guess

cheap. Mew and friends drawn by guess who? Naoki Seaitto. People didn't even

who? Naoki Seaitto. People didn't even care. People didn't even mention that it

care. People didn't even mention that it was drawn by Noki Seaitto. People don't

give a [ __ ] that was drawn by Naoki Seaitto. Just [ __ ] went right under

Seaitto. Just [ __ ] went right under the radar. Nobody said anything. I'm

the radar. Nobody said anything. I'm

seeing this happen a lot lately with Trainer Hype right this second. Brother,

the Mewtwo card, the Team Rockets Mewtwo that's coming out in Mega Dream. You

know who draws that card? You know who actually draws that? Mitsah Arena. The

GOAT. The legend. the person that drew the base set Charizard. Perhaps the most iconic Pokemon card that has ever [ __ ] graced the landscape of Pokemon.

And there's people that are out there trashing this card saying it looks like absolute dog [ __ ] Mitsuhi has drawn a lot of modern cards. They have drawn a lot of good things lately that have not

caught on with any level of traction for what the the goat Mitsahorita. We love

the artist, guys. We love just all this [ __ ] going on. We love it. They drew the Blastoise from EX from 151. They drew

that card. Hell, let's go back all the way to Sword and Shield and let's look at a Shadow Rider Calar. Let's look at that card. Mitsahiro Aita drew that card

that card. Mitsahiro Aita drew that card as well. Do people trash that card? No.

as well. Do people trash that card? No.

But do I hear people talk about the awesome art that Mitsahita draws?

Absolutely [ __ ] not. Naoki Seaitto

has drawn another card very recently for the the Blackbolt White Flare era, the Hilda S. Yes. You know who drew that

Hilda S. Yes. You know who drew that card? You know who drew that card? You

card? You know who drew that card? You

know who drew that card? [ __ ] Naoki Seaitto. You know who drew the Iran with

Seaitto. You know who drew the Iran with the the Pearl Clan and the Diamond Clan?

All them all clanned up, ready to [ __ ] go, ready to throw down some [ __ ] [ __ ] Yeah. Naoki Saitto. Do you

hear anybody talking about any of that stuff anymore? No, you don't hear anyone

stuff anymore? No, you don't hear anyone talking about any of that stuff. Akiraa

is responsible for drawing the gold cards from Crown Zenith and Var universe. And people are looking crazily

universe. And people are looking crazily to find other cards that were drawn by Akiraa in the hopes of getting those all pumped up. Getting them all straight to

pumped up. Getting them all straight to the moon, baby. Shinjionda is another one that's guilty of that stuff right here, too. Anything that Shinji has

here, too. Anything that Shinji has touched is going to be pumped because we all love Shinji cards. It's crazy. There

is a Shinjionda promo that's currently sitting in the Charizard UPC that's like what, like 20 bucks, 15 bucks, guys. I

thought we love Shinji. I thought we all like that whole thing. It's fairing a little bit better in Inferno X, but it hasn't cracked 100 bucks. It's not above $100 in Japanese. Oh, pull rates and

rarities all of a sudden matter. Oh,

that guys Shinji is cool, but uh the the pull rates all stuff. Yeah, tell that to [ __ ] people that are prying after Umbreon V-Max, the Alton, and it's [ __ ] everywhere. The pop. Oh yeah,

people that love uh the Umbreon V-Max, do you know who drew that card? I bet if you went and asked someone who said that was their favorite card, they wouldn't know who drew that. They wouldn't know who the actual artist is whatsoever. And

that's not a fault to them. I'm not

saying they have to know who drew the card or anything like that. But a lot of people who are hopping on this artist grift couldn't tell you who drew some of their favorite cards. They couldn't tell you whatsoever. Does anyone know? Go ask

you whatsoever. Does anyone know? Go ask

somebody who says that's their favorite.

And don't let them look at the card.

Don't let them look down at it. Viral

videos where people are pulling this card. Do they mention the artist's name?

card. Do they mention the artist's name?

No. But guys, we love the artist. The

artist is super cool. The artist [ __ ] is fantastic. We love arts. We love the

fantastic. We love arts. We love the art. Now, your big popular Pokemon

art. Now, your big popular Pokemon YouTube openings, has anybody mentioned who [ __ ] drew it? Besides the very popular artist, Shinji, I've seen people mention that one. And I've seen people

sometimes lately mention Kia and I've seen sometimes people mention uh Akira Gawa. That's all I've seen people

Gawa. That's all I've seen people mention at [ __ ] all when it comes to artists. when it comes to anybody big

artists. when it comes to anybody big dog, nobody cares. And I'm not telling you this because they're bad people. I'm

not telling you this because, you know, they're they're do I'm telling you this because people are going to try to sell people a lot of [ __ ] and a big croc of nothing that they're going to ditch the second it becomes unpopular to do so.

The artist hype is not real. The artist

hype is [ __ ] for 95% of people in here. 95% of people are only collecting

here. 95% of people are only collecting Pokemon cards for money. It is. I don't

care what anybody tells you. I don't

care if people call me gatekeeping. I'm

not saying they can't do it. I'm not

saying you can't pretend to like the artist or anything like that. I'm

warning people that are buying into trends and stuff like this. You are

going to get pulled. You are going to get swindled at some point. You're going

to trust somebody that is telling you this is the way. This is how stuff is going. This is how it is. And the artist

going. This is how it is. And the artist trend, I'm telling you, it'd be super nice if people all of a sudden cared about the artist, but people couldn't tell you. People can't tell you more

tell you. People can't tell you more than a handful of artists anyway. I bet

people couldn't tell you more than four.

Honestly, I bet they couldn't. Half of

the people for the old school vintage cards, like the really old school awesome, you know, fossil jungle base set cards, probably couldn't tell you who drew most of them. Probably could

not even tell you who Kin Sigamorei is.

And that's fine. People come in here and they collect Pokemon cards for a whole different reason. I'm not telling you

different reason. I'm not telling you this to make these people sound like horrible [ __ ] people. They're just

casually walking in here collecting Pokemon cards for cash like almost everybody else here is. that that's what it is. I'm sorry. I don't care if people

it is. I'm sorry. I don't care if people are mad at me about that take. It is

what it is. It's a [ __ ] fact. If

money left this space, a lot of people would also follow suit and leave as well. And that's okay. It is what it is.

well. And that's okay. It is what it is.

I'm telling people to think about things for yourself. I'm telling people to look

for yourself. I'm telling people to look at these trends and actually consider things. If you like a specific artist,

things. If you like a specific artist, if you like specific cards, pick that [ __ ] up. Do things that you like to do.

Collect specific things you like to do.

I'm a big guard collector, big scyther collector, big wee collector. I'm a big trio collector. All that stuff. I love

trio collector. All that stuff. I love

those Pokemon. I have specific things specifically for those Pokemon. I do.

And that's okay.

People are going to sell you some [ __ ] People are going to [ __ ] trend the hell out of some things, my guy. They

are going to tell you so many things.

They will, dude. Kyoki Seaito drawing ponchos. The ponchos were the hottest

ponchos. The ponchos were the hottest thing for the longest time. And now

people just absolutely trash them. Even

though people could not talk about Kyoki Seaitto's art without sucking his dick about a lot of that stuff, a lot of those cosplay cards, a lot of those things. I'm pretty sure he also drew the

things. I'm pretty sure he also drew the attack on Espeon. Espeon V-Max from Fusion Strike and then the promo for Eevee Heroes. I'm pretty sure he also

Eevee Heroes. I'm pretty sure he also drew that. People were sucking that

drew that. People were sucking that dude's toes. Do you hear anybody mention

dude's toes. Do you hear anybody mention that artist's name anymore? Do you hear a single soul mention Kyoki Seaitto's name? Do you hear anybody talk about

name? Do you hear anybody talk about that when they talk about the Ponchos?

Just think about that whenever you're being sold on artist [ __ ] Okay?

Specific cards are popular for specific reasons. The artist is not one of them.

reasons. The artist is not one of them.

I'm telling you right now, the artist is not one of them. People in the autograph community care about that stuff. And

people who genuinely care about what the artists draw and appreciate their art styles care about that kind of stuff.

The other 93 95% of people in this hobby do not care. Think about [ __ ] for yourself. make purchases for yourself.

yourself. make purchases for yourself.

Hopping on trends is dangerous. And I'm

telling you, if people have learned anything from the full art trainer trend is that people will sell you [ __ ] that they do not even like to make a buck.

Keep that in mind when you're purchasing things. Make your own decision. Do not

things. Make your own decision. Do not

be an NPC and think about what you like for your own collection. If you're just here for money, keep on hustling, gangster. Keep making your bag, G. But

gangster. Keep making your bag, G. But

everybody else, think about it. Think

about what you like to collect. It's all

I got. Appreciate it, Virgin Gang. See

you later.
