Music in a criminal documentary is an essential element that cannot be overlooked. The story unfolds from the
overlooked. The story unfolds from the background to the criminal's final fate, capturing the audience's attention and immersing them in the narrative, especially if we add a touch of music.
Seven men were killed within a 12-month period, all found dead in the woods.
>> We discovered this is a woman out here doing this. However, finding the right
doing this. However, finding the right music is not always easy, and we often have questions about it. How can we find music that perfectly matches what we're looking for just by typing on our keyboard? And this is the reason this
keyboard? And this is the reason this video was made for you. So, in this video, I've already prepared a sample video that we'll be adding music to, matching each scene starting from the
intro, buildup, climax, and resolution.
To do this, we're going to using special tool called Adapt from Epidemic Sound.
Epidemic Sound is a massive music library platform that provides hundreds of thousands of restriction-free music tracks and sound effects that you can use for your content without worrying about YouTube copyright rules. And it's
getting so much powerful with the release of this adapt feature which you can easily modify a music by only typing prompt. But before we start, click the
prompt. But before we start, click the link in the description and enter the code to get 50% off annual plan and soundtrack your content today. Now,
without further ado, let's jump right into the video.
Spring 1977.
Colleen, a 20-year-old hitchhiker with a taste for adventure, set out on the open road of California. The sun was warm, the sky clear, and her backpack was
light. When a blue car pulled over, a
light. When a blue car pulled over, a young couple with a baby inside. It felt
safe, harmless even. She smiled, waved, and climbed in.
First, go to Epidemic Sound. Then go to the lab menu and click try adapt a track or music that you want to adapt. And
here I'm going to use music by Yomot.
So the way I choose a music to be adapted with my video is by paying attention to the BPM of the music. In
this case, because I want to use this music for the introduction part, I'm going to choose the one that has a slow BPM at around 7290. So I'm going to pick this one. And here's how the original
this one. And here's how the original music sounds like.
Now, let's adapt the music into a dark tone. Click adapt. And here on the
tone. Click adapt. And here on the prompt bar, you can modify the music to whatever you like. And to change the tone of this music into darker, I'm going to type this prompt.
Then let's add a so piano and cello sounds so it more orchestral.
Then click submit. Wait until the progress finished.
And here's how it sounds like after we adapted it.
As you can see here, you can also play with the instrument layers. That means
you can remove the instrument sound that you don't need. For example, I don't really need the bass and the drum in this music. So, let's mute them. It's
this music. So, let's mute them. It's
going to sound like this.
Perfect. Now you can just download it.
After that, let's import it to your cap timeline. I'm going to trim it right at
timeline. I'm going to trim it right at the end of this scene and increase the fade out for smooth transition to the next music.
And this is how the introduction scene sounds like.
Spring 1977.
Colleen, a 20-year-old hitchhiker with a taste for adventure, set out on the open road of California. The sun was warm, the sky clear, and her backpack was
light. When a blue car pulled over, a
light. When a blue car pulled over, a young couple with a baby inside, it felt safe, harmless, even. She smiled, waved,
and climbed in.
The first hour was normal. Small talk,
laughter, a stop for drinks, but the farther they drove, the quieter it got.
The man, Cameron, started glancing at her through the rear view mirror. His
wife, Janice, kept her eyes down. Then,
somewhere in the woods, the car stopped.
Before Colleen could ask why, Cameron opened the trunk and pulled out a large wooden box with holes drilled in it. Her
confusion turned into panic when he forced her inside. Darkness, silence,
the sound of a latch closing.
Now, let's adapt the next music by adding a new track. I'm still going to use track by Yumotei here, but for this buildup scene, I'm going to pick one track with slightly higher BPM for the
increasing intensity. Let's pick this
increasing intensity. Let's pick this one. This is how the original track
one. This is how the original track sounds like.
Now let's adapt it by typing some prompt again to make it darker.
And this is how it sounds like after we adapt it.
Heat.
Heat.
For this one, I'm just going to use all the instruments. So, let's download it,
the instruments. So, let's download it, import it to Cap Cut, and position the starting of the track overlapping the fade out of the previous track. So, we
got that smooth transition between the music. So, it's going to sound like
music. So, it's going to sound like this. Waved and climbed in. The first
this. Waved and climbed in. The first
hour was normal. Small talk, laughter, a stop for drinks. But the farther they drove, the quieter it got. Trim it at the end of the scene and increase the
fade out as well.
And this is how the buildup scene sounds like. The first hour was normal. Small

Days turned into months, months into years. Colleen lived in that basement,
years. Colleen lived in that basement, locked in the box for up to 23 hours a day, barely able to breathe. Cameron
told her there was a secret organization watching her, ready to kill her if she ever escaped. And she believed him. Fear
ever escaped. And she believed him. Fear
became her prison long after the box was closed.
Add a new track. I'm going to pick a way higher BPM track for this climax scene.
Then adapt it with this prompt to make it darker.
This is how it sounds.
Heat. Heat.
Okay, this sounds good, but I'm going to mute the bass and the drum.
Let's download it. Import it to Cap Cut.
And you just have to do the same step like before. The sound of a latch
like before. The sound of a latch closing. Days turned into months, months
closing. Days turned into months, months into years. Colleen lived in that
into years. Colleen lived in that basement. And this is how the climax
basement. And this is how the climax scene sounds like.

After 7 years of captivity, Janice, the wife, broke down. Her guilt consumed her. One night, she let Colleen go. When
her. One night, she let Colleen go. When
the police arrested Cameron Hooker, they found the box still there under the bed in the same basement, perfectly built to hold a person. Colleen had once been a
girl chasing freedom on the open road.
Now she was the girl who survived 7 years inside a box.
And now for the last scene, I'm going to add a track with slow BPM again, just like the introduction scene. And it's
around 70 to 90. So I'm going to pick this one. Add the prompt again to make
this one. Add the prompt again to make it dark.
This is how it sounds.
Download it and import It box was closed after 7 years of I'm going to trim the music to start it from here.
Then position it to a flap with the previous one. And because there is a
previous one. And because there is a rough trim at the beginning of this music, you have to increase a little bit of fade in so it will flow smoothly with a transition
was closed. After 7 years of captivity,
was closed. After 7 years of captivity, Janice, the wife, broke down. Her guilt
consumed her. And for this last music, you don't have to increase the fade out because we're going to fade it out in the compound form. So, let's select all of these musics and compound them.
Now I'm going to decrease the volume slightly to make sure that the narration sounds clear enough.
And also now this is time to increase the fade out as well to end the video.

That's the video for today. Thank you
