The goddess Gaga graces Naomi Club Alright guys - today something incredible has happened!
I get to interview the one and only Lady Gaga!
And not just any interview—it’s an “in-person” interview, face-to-face!
The NAOMI CLUB YouTube channel has been chosen for this!
Why though?!
Super surprised I don’t know if you all remember, but— Do you remember the Lady Gaga parody, “RAIN ON ME” that we did on this YouTube channel?
That’s probably what led to this opportunity. We were contacted by Universal Music and they asked if we would like to interview Lady Gaga about her new album, MAYHEM And now, I’m about to go meet her!
What should we do, guys?!
We’re about to meet Lady Gaga! So get ready and hang on tight!
Lady Gaga recently won a Grammy So I decided to recreate the exact same outfit she wore that night I’ve been impersonating Lady Gaga for years so I figured when meeting her in person, it might be best to go as her This dress, this necklace—everything was custom-made from scratch
My hairstyle and makeup are almost identical too And most importantly The Grammy - We replicated the trophy My management team has been making props like this since my early sketch comedy days Look at it from the side—check this out!
It’s cardboard Have you ever seen a trophy this thin?!
Look at this! It’s so incredibly thin! We actually made this Let’s take a step back and check out the full length look Look, I’m showing some leg! I’m wearing anti-chafing shorts underneath, so I can lift it Look!
We created an exact replica of the dress A huge thank you to everyone who made this happen!
Thank you Mr. Hirosumi This prop was made by my manager Hair by Nero To be honest, I’m really nervous about meeting her like this in person It’s a hit or miss situation But everyone, you want to hear what Lady Gaga has to say, right?
I only have 10 to 15 minutes for the interview And I have to ask all the questions in English I’ve written everything on cue cards so I can read them during the interview But can you believe it? This is really happening—it’s Lady Gaga Alright, let’s go. See you all later!
For over a decade, I’ve been impersonating Lady Gaga But I’ve never had the chance to sit down and really talk with her
And now, at last, my long-awaited interview How will this first-ever conversation go?
What kind of facial expression is this, in this photo?
And finally— stepping into the room where Gaga awaits Oh! Oh, my.

Yes.
Are you okay?
Yes.
The first one.
Abra...
Sorry. so many.
The cheat sheet was exposed I realized the card - the Grammy - everyone should have notes on their Grammy.
And so everyone should have notes on theGrammy Abracadabra is such a powerful song and it brings so much energy.
Thank you.
How did you come up with the idea for Abracadabra?
You know, when I make music, I feel like I always have these dreams. And sometimes they're sort of gothic dreams. Like dark dreams. And I had this sort of fantasy come to me as I was writing the song of being in a nightclub.
And this like, which is like casting a spell over you as you walk in and saying, tonight could be like the greatest night of your life.
You could meet the love of your life, or tonight could be the end.
And the song is about like testing you.
Like if you have what it takes to keep going and live, no matter the mayhem.
That’s definitely true That magical feeling when watching the Abracadabra music video is just amazing Thank you.
Second question.
Do you know any Japanese word?
Yes I love you so cute That’s my favorite word I'll teach you my favorite word in Japanese.
Okay.
It’s Okay.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, this.
what say mean?
when something is really funny, like, It's so funny, but this is very Extra funny.
Okay but this is Japanese slang.
Okay Cool So cool.
Everyone here from Japan is losing it?
formal. situation is no good.
Okay Just a friend.
This is unformal with the Grammy.
Yeah.
Can you teach me your favorite word in English I moved to New York now, and I study English every day.
Yeah,I want.
My favorite word is love.
love, I love you.
I love you too.
Shy Naomi hiding her embarrassment One more question.
You are always reinventing yourself and creating new styles.
What Where are your thoughts?
Why are you making this album?
You know, I think something that was really important to me when I made 「MAYHEM」 is that I, as a female artist, started to take ownership over the things that are like my personal inventions, my creative style, the way I write lyrics, the like sort of intervals that I like in melodies,
and the combination of those melodies and lyrics with dark visuals.
So 「MAYHEM」 for me was about kind of like owning a huge part of what makes me who I am.
What keeps you motivated when you're always creating something new?
You know, I think I've always felt like I just love music and art so much that I would like to be a student, and I like to learn.
And I think when you learn new things, you make new things.
But I also think it's good to settle into yourself.
And that took me a really long time.
Like it took me a long time to be comfortable with who I am.
I think I was always trying to find a new skin, and I think my album 「MAYHEM」 was sort of about embracing that.
That process of like always feeling like multiple people and maybe sometimes it being contradictory and now finally kind of feeling like one whole person and holding all my personal chaos That’s lovely—I have moments like that too sometimes I thought same like who I am, but yeah
I think I’ll listen to this album to search for my answers Thank you so much.
I think that, like, there's a lot of pressure on women for us to change and always reinvent ourselves all the time.
I think it's okay to just like maybe some things are just for us.
Thank you for your wonderful message Here’s the next question Japanese people are so excited about your new album.
Would you mind sending your Japanese fans a message?
Yes.
To my Japanese fans, I love you so much.
I'm always so impressed with your creativity and imagination and your kindness. Always.
Especially when I'm lucky enough to see you in person.
Thank you for always supporting me and loving my music no matter where it takes me.
I love you and I hope I see you soon.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so, much Bye bye Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
you look so beautiful Thank you for all this.
Home after the amazing interview I’m still soaking in my time with Gaga It’s over Hey did you all see it?
I think the conversation ended saying “it’s done!” at the shoot but watching it again… She said "Unyo"!!
She really said "Unyo" —and wasn’t she kind of into it?
She even said different variations of it!
This is legendary.
She also noticed my outfit right away and said it was amazing, which made me so happy!
On top of that, she shared her thoughts about her album and gave me so many encouraging words I’m really glad I could share all this with all of you She said she watched "RAIN ON ME" and said, "I left a comment on it!"
And yes, she actually did comment on X!
I was so happy she remembered I was beyond happy, but I was pretty nervous!
There wasn’t enough time, so at some point, I just started answering in Japanese.
Like "ah, I see (in Japanese)” Gaga was just radiating pure happy energy It was so exciting and amazing! So we can successfully wrap up I'll talk more about the details and stories from behind-the-scenes on YouTube Live Well then, everyone, I'll see you again soon Thank you for watching today. Bye bye
By the way, the nails were made by the same nail artist as Lady Gaga's Miho made them so the nails were the only things that were actually legit See you later. Bye bye
